I saw some interesting points from Jet fans on X yesterday. Long story short, they're already turning on Rodgers. Their complaints were semi good too. They say that by him dangling the carrot of coming back this year it took away the idea of the Jets making a move for a QB like Cousins (pre injury, of course) or someone more viable. They're pissed about all the ex Packers they brought in to appease Rodgers and NONE of them have done anything at all. Also, because he "may" come back Saleh and Douglas are keeping Hackett just in case. Basically, Rodgers is holding the Jets hostage much the way he did the Packers in the off season the last few years. Packer fans are laughing hysterically at this as well.

I find Glazer to be one of the better "insiders" out there. He doesn't rush to report to be the first to break things and when he does say something it's typically spot on. That said, if true maybe it points to Daboll being more of an issue behind the scenes than most would want to admit. You could tangibly feel the dislike between he and McD after the Giants game. And now this? Some people are just not easy to get along with.

The time for an extension IMO was before the injury. If the Bills were to offer a low contact because of the injury he can simply say "No thanks". And the Bills offering him a fair market deal coming off the injury isn't a wise investment for a guy on the wrong side of 30. Right now if they extended him they are bidding against themselves. He would likely want a raise (deserves it too). However, a guy his age coming off injury isn't likely going to command a huge contract in the open market. Letting the market set his value and getting him at a discount is a smart play right now. Kind of like they did with Poyer.

Well, you aren't wrong. One of the things I love about how Philly does it is that they all move in unison. It's one large pile that is uniform in movement. I think one issue is that teams try and over power the play. Meat on meat so to speak. If the Bills can time the snap well they have the speed up front to quickly penetrate. Someone like Ed can slice in. It's not about being a better DL than they have faced. I think ours may give them a bit more of a matchup issue. This would also be a game I'd consider having Poona Ford over Settle active for. Guy is short and hefty. A bowling ball body type.

They can get out of it fairly painlessly from what I see. It would be $1.6M dead cap to cut him and save $4.1M against the cap next year. Problem is I don't think they cut him because of his "value" as a returner. I think it's more likely they keep him and cut bait on Nyheim Hines coming off the ACL.

The Eagles fans have this "curse" for when an opposing team puts merchandise on the Balboa statue. However they are from Philly so don't even understand their own made up curse's rule and figured just taking a photo with the statue is "bulletin board material" If the Bills win I'm hoping Allen teabags the thing on his way out of town.

I have a feeling we are going to see the Bills stop at least 1 "Tush Push". Buffalo is normally excellent on 3rd or 4th and short and I think Big Ed's quickness can shoot in and stall it out.

I can see a few reasons. Kind of a "preview of next year"? Something to show FAs in the off-season? Rodgers wanting to prove medical science wrong. Maybe try and show what a Hackett led offense looks like with Rodgers in it and try to save his job? I mean, that's a few but I don't see any GOOD reason to do it. But the Jets and good reasoning are rarely used together for a reason.

I think if you peek at the Jets schedule it's almost predictable how this all plays out. He said he's aiming for the December 24th game against the Commanders. However, they also have a Thursday game scheduled after that. So, it will be "Doctor didn't think it was smart to play 2 games in 4 days" type excuse. Then they will use the "There was no reason to bring him back for the final 2". But he will still go on McAfee and say he was fully cleared and good to go and that his methods were better than the sports science. Because of course he will.

Agree, this would be a great time for Von to be Von again I'm sure the brace was limiting some even if it was just reminding him that the knee still isn't full go. While this is exactly the type of game we brought him in for and pre injury I would expect him to turn it up to his playoff level notch, I still think we are a couple weeks away. KC or Dallas games is where I've been thinking we see Von back to his Von-ness.

I think it's one extreme or the other. Either it's a game Allen takes over and we win or it's going to be a day to avoid the game day thread altogether. If we get the Allen we saw last week, they can pull it off. IMO, we need 2 of the next 3 at a minimum to stay alive in the AFCE. But a win like this on the road against Philly sets a perfect tone going forward.

Historically that turf at MetLife is guilty of several players a year having season ending injury. It's pathetic.

At least in Ron's case they just traded away his 2 best Edge rushers.

That would be a huge loss for them. Phillips is really talented. He's just never been able to stay healthy.

I keep looking at these Jet fans when they show the crowd. Broken, defeated and out a ton of money to watch a QB named Boyle play. It makes me so happy.

Yes, I agree he would be. But lack of protection, run game and a competent OC would all have hindered him beyond useless IMO.

Wouldn't have mattered much. That OL is a joke. They have no running game with on obviously slowed Hall and a washed Dalvin Cook. And Hackett's play calls are more predictable than Dorsey's were. All the Rodgers injury did was give Saleh and Douglas a free pass for this year because I don't think their record would be much different with him.
