LA doesn't care about the Chargers
BuffaloBillyG replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
No one cares about the Chargers. Except that one tiny Asian female that was paid to be a fan. -
Since the dynasty died, I've actually enjoyed Belichick a bit. His press conferences have always been unintentional comic GOLD. It's really been a lot of fun this year. It's absolutely hysterical to me the way the the New England reporters have covered him for 20+ years and still basically line up to be told to piss off by him 3 or 4 times a week. And his legendary pettiness when it comes to the Jets is to this day one of the most hysterical things in the NFL....does not get talked about enough.

Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
BuffaloBillyG replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von Miller faces felony arrest in Buffalo Breaking news this morning that Buffalo Bills EDGE rusher Von Miller is facing felony arrest after being accused of straight up robbing the Buffalo Bills of more than $17 million dollars this season. Several sources confirm that Miller, 34 plans to continue his theft of team funds for the foreseeable future. We reached out to Miller's representatives however they did not immediately respond. More on this story as it develops. -
I'm fine with Hamlin winning it. I'm fine if he doesn't. I get that he has gone through a lot and even though his snaps and impact has been rather insignificant, his ability to play has been remarkable. I'm sure the NFL makes sure he wins it so they can squeeze just a tad more PR out of the situation. That's what it's all about anyways, right? Flacco and Mayfield as "comeback" players is a joke. Flacco has played what, 5 games? He's coming "back" from what exactly? Being unsigned? Being a member of the Jets? Mayfield has had a really solid season...but again what is he "coming back" from? Honestly, even though I can't stand him, the player that has had the most impactful on field come back for my money is Matthew Stafford.

At one point I found it easy to root for the Bengals. Loveable losers that finally turned the corner and all. Now? Not so much. Bunch of cocky asshats. Reminds me of the Legion of Boom era Seahawks minus the Super Bowl title.

Week 17 - Cheats v. Bills - PREDICT THE SCORE
BuffaloBillyG replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't see this one being close at all. Bills have something to prove after the loss in NE earlier in the year. Josh Allen with a HUGE game to set himself up firmly in the MVP race heading to the final week. Buffalo dominates Belichick in his final game against us as New England head coach. Bills-33 Patriots - 13 -
Frank Gore

If I have to pick a minimum 4 off that list... Antonio Gates Torry Holt Jared Allen Andre Johnson
-
Oddly enough, I see the Vikings being in on Russ Wilson.
-
Russ has actually had a pretty decent season for the most part even though he's asked to do a lot of things outside his skillet. Payton was always going to get rid of him after this year and get "his guy".

Week 17: Buy, Sell, Hold (Patriots* edition)
BuffaloBillyG replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Buy: Rasul Douglas. He's been too quiet lately. Good thing for a CB...but I think he has a fun day Sunday against Zappe. Sell: Stefon Diggs. Since the OP is buying...allow me to sell my stock in him to you. I just think he's playing through some serious injury and may be limited in production the rest of the season. Hold: Leonard Fournette. I just don't see the Bills keeping him shelved come playoff time. He's got 2 call ups left during the regular season and then unlimited during the playoffs. We haven't seen the last of him. -
Appreciate the shout out! Yeah missed a few badly, but I'm happy with the Houston call. That may be my own personal "signature win"😂😂

All very true and very valid reasons. I do not disagree in the least. But even with all that going for them, stuff happens in football. It's a game that is both unpredictable and yet predictable at the same time. Can't wait to see how this one forms on the field of play.

They should. Contrary to what many here want to believe, Miami is a team packed with talent on both sides of the ball. They have one of the most explosive offenses ever seen. They can pass, run and have a lot of misdirection plays that are fun to watch and put people in the best position to succeed. They are (like most teams) better at home than on the road. If they get that #1 seed they will be a very tough out. I give them a ton of credit for putting together a very good team. I think they drop this week unless Baltimore comes in and has a let down game after beating San Francisco. Week 18 on their field is going to be a battle. Whoever walks away with that game will have earned it. I think the Bills beat them. But Miami is more than capable of winning it at home. Let's see how it plays out.

I can see him in the 3/yr $28M range with between $12M-15M in guaranteed cash. Not bad value for teams that don't rotate as often as we do.

Never liked Sherman as a player. However the last couple of years he's really impressed me as a talking head. Not just on this topic, but he does provide well thought out and insightful thoughts and analysis. Here's the problem. And this is also why Allen will NEVER win an MVP unless he's by far undisputed no questions able to be asked the best player in a season. Too many that have votes for MVP bashed Allen coming into the league. Said he would never pan out. They CANNOT let him have an MVP. Would prove them wrong. So they will latch on to whatever they can year in and year out to deny him.

Speaking in the true spirit of what an MVP is, I really like your ranking and aside from switching Hill and CMC would agree. For me, Tyreek benefits from those around him as well. I do think he's the Dolphins MVP, but Raheem Mosert has been excellent and helps take the focus off Hill at times. That whole offense really plays very well off each other.
-
I agree 100%. No one is who they are in front of the camera in the NFL. I would offer up that there are some guys that are closer to the role they show in interviews, however. Allen would be one that seems a bit more genuine. Dak Prescott is another. Of course, full transparency, I thought Watson was a class act at the start of his career as well, so to your point you never really know.
-
Well, here's the thing about the MVP race as it sits. Seemingly, no one is interested in giving it to a non QB. (If I had a vote I would go with CMC). Dak is done. Hurts is out. Really Lamar is the last man standing in the hype circle and he's been very average. If Allen comes out next week with a statement game against a defense that many around the league still view as a very good defense...it stacks numbers. He's played well against the Pats many times before. I don't think 4-5 TDs and 350 total yards is unfathomable this week. Miami has played well on defense as well. I think they contain Lamar a bit. Really if Allen doesn't win it and they HAVE to give it to a QB...I would want Tua to win it before Lamar. Better numbers and would likely cost Miami more money on Tua's impending contract.

I think this week the Bills say their farewell to Belichick in the AFCE. Send him away with a 37-16 style drubbing. Allen has one of his signature games of the season and rushes right to the top of the MVP race.
