  1. If we're being honest, I'd rather hit "Mama Kelce" with a snowball than Swift.
  2. The NFCCG had more viewers than the AFCCG. So, no. No "huge boost".
  3. As of right now in no particular order: Safety 1T DT EDGE WR OL depth RB Some of these areas will be addressed in FA and some through re-signing some players.
  4. Yea, after all he's accomplished he's not taking a DC role for any team. I actually think he will do well on TV in the pregame show. However, if he's not going to be coaching this year I think (if he's open to it) hiring him in a consultant role may be smart. Say what you will, but McDermott respects Bill a whole lot. And maybe Bill would want to do something with Buffalo as we know he loves him some Josh Allen.
  5. I would like to think it would be somewhat similar to Sam Darnold's trade value, though I don't think they will get that kind of return. The Jets received three picks: a sixth-rounder in the 2021 draft and a second-rounder and fourth-rounder in 2022. I think maybe the Pats would be looking at a conditional 5th or 6th for the 2025 draft and a day 3 pick in this year's.
  6. Let's just ship Mahomes to the new XFL/USFL league and banish him because he always wins and hurts the OP's feelings.
  7. The hated Kansas City Chiefs will be playing a post season game in the Raiders new stadium before the Raiders do. That's actually kind of hysterical to me.
  8. When I think of "hard nosed" coaches, Frank Reich isn't the guy that jumps to the top of the list. And sure, we don't need a QB coach with any kind of career aspersions. Someone that's content to just stay middle management is perfect to get the most out of Allen.
  9. I don't mind the hire. But I don't like the hiring process.
  10. Agree. If Caldwell were brought in Id see it as keeping the pipeline full. And we still have an opening on staff for DL coach. Holcomb has a small window of experience there at the college level. Caldwell (and Desai for that matter) do not.
  11. He's got extensive time as a LBers coach in the league. My guess is they interview him for the DC spot and offer him the LB coach role after they promote Babich. Again, just a guess.
  12. Unless I'm mistaken, Rooney Rule states only 1 external minority needs to be interviewed for Coordinator spots. With the Bills speaking to Desai they already met the requirements. This is not that. I would like to see Babich get the spot so we don't lose him, however this guy has worked with McDermott before. Could end up on the staff in some capacity.
  13. I think it's better than what they had, but I don't think they did that well bringing in Moore and Fangio. Dallas didn't seem to miss Moore last year. One could argue the offense was better without him and under McCarthy, of all people. Fangio is getting ancient. He's stuck in his ways and made several odd choices on his side of the ball where it came to playtime and duties. He almost refuses to adjust his system to fit players. Players were overjoyed to see him go. All in all, they got 2 "big names". How it will turn out is anyone's guess, but barring a deep playoff run, I think Sirianni is about done there.
  14. Cry. Not joking either. I'll remember past family and friends that have left this Earth and wanted to see that. They will be with me in that moment.
  15. Holcomb was McDermott's LB coach in Carolina. So, different view of the same branch
  16. Agree. Not sure I would classify him as any real position. He's just a football player.
  17. I agree, there is merit especially when you have an organization that has been stable and is winning. It's great for continuity and motivation for the other guys on the staff to see that hard work pays off. On the other hand, there is something to be said for getting fresh eyes, ideas and concepts into an organization. Let's a team evolve and become less and less predictable. There should be a fair mix of both IMO.
  18. Interesting coaching history. Has 2 seasons as a ST Coordinator on the college level. Has coached OLBers, Safeties and...running backs. Seems like a guy that may have a lot of knowledge. Jack of all trades master of none. But still could add value to the staff in some capacity. As some have said, strong sign that a Babich promotion is incoming...but bigger news here is that Sean is seemingly willing to hire a DC. Have to wonder if he will still call plays or if he steps back to just the HC role. Should be pretty interesting
  19. Trouble is he's IS a "good" player. But that's likely his ceiling. Good. Fans have 2 categories for players. They are either awesome or trash. A roster needs role players and Hamlin is a good role player. I don't think he would ever be a Pro Bowl level talent but he is good enough to be on a roster. Look at it like this. There are 32 teams and I would estimate in total teams average 4 safeties per team. That's 128 players at the position league wide. There aren't 128 safeties better then Hamlin.
  20. Tyler Dunne to Eric Washington right now:
  21. First off... congratulations to Coach Washington. Better promote Babich now. Wonder if this brings Al Holcomb into a new role as well.
  22. Votes were already made prior to the playoffs beginning. Not necessarily. There are a lot of teams that could use help at the S position. He's not a starter by any means, but he's good depth and can carve out a role on STs for a lot of squads. Heck, I would bet a substantial amount that if we cut him he's on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster within a week.
  23. That part right there is my pet peeve when it comes to Brandon. This isn't the first time he's pinned the cap issues to the COVID year. And I'm sure there was at some point some truth behind it. I'm certain they had a long term financial plan that COVID tore down. But that happened years ago and it didn't JUST hit for the Buffalo Bills. 31 other teams were hit, too. And by now many if not most have adjusted. I'm sorry, but you can't cry that you're behind the sticks when it comes to salary cap because of the COVID season and also have been responsible for the Von Miller albatross off a contract since.
  24. I'll go third party and roll with Phillip Rivers and Antonio Gates. At least I don't want to hit either of them with a truck.
  25. Agree and I would think it's the most stable job of the 3. Daboll may be gone if the Giants flounder again. Miami...always a gamble with that ownership too. LaFluer seems to have some stable footing after making the playoffs.
