Hey BillsMafia, I've got one thing to say...
BuffaloBillyG replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was more than 1 thing. -
If I were to lay a bet now, the top 3 names Higgins, Pittman and Evans will end up staying where they are. I'm almost expecting Higgins to get slapped with the tag. I would expect the Colts to do the same if a deal cannot be worked out. And Evans will test the market, but I bet he stays in the only city he's ever played for. Even if 1-3 of them actually hit the market I think a team like the Jets will be more than happy to vastly overpay. I do see Gabe landing a deal in the ballpark of what Lazard got with the Jets last off season. There should be a lot of solid 2nd level guys out there, though of which Gabe is a member. What may hurt his odds of a huge payday even more than the FA market is the deep WR draft class incoming. Looking at the last 5-6 years of draft classes, talented WRs are becoming a dime a dozen. Only a matter of time before FA the market reflects that.

Would rather just draft one and sign another. Kyle Dugger on this defense would be insane.

Mr. Pegula please read Tyler Dunne’s newest article

Dunne is what Jerry Sullivan once was. Only more salty -
Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
BuffaloBillyG replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Last season they made a big deal that Hyde was around the team while on IR with his neck. They kept saying how he was an unofficial "Coach". He seemed to take to it and enjoy that role as well. I'm seriously wondering if that's something in his future and if so I think McDermott would happily offer him an Assistant DB coach role. Hyde is one of his favorite players. It's almost a no brainier if it's something Hyde wants to get into. -

Don't know why you chose my reply to respond to as what you said really has nothing to do with what I said. I will respond the same. I like turtles. -
Mock Draft season. Mel Kiper mock draft 1.0
BuffaloBillyG replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Funny. But I'll hold out until after I see what they do in FA first before being convinced they HAVE to go WR in round 1. If they can somehow land a good one there, the class is deep enough to get a good one on day 2. -

Agree, but there are a few every year that are hired and not HC material. And it would do us a big favor lol -

Can someone hire Spags as a HC, already? Get him the heck out of our playoff path. -
Mock Draft season. Mel Kiper mock draft 1.0
BuffaloBillyG replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
A little early for me to be too opinionated about the draft. But I'm hoping if we go WR early we get a guy with some speed. Not sure I want another guy that can work the middle. That's where I expect Kincaid to work. The DT makes some sense if the Bills don't re-sign Jones. But I don't want defense in round 1. -
The old double standard. When the Bills beat the Chiefs and Mahomes whined and cried to Allen on the field a lot of the talk was "be professional" "When someone shows you who they are, believe them" and "Gee, guess anyone can be a leader when you're winning" type statements. But, because Diggs runs and hides it's "Well, it's ok if he acts like that" Here's the thing. This isn't the first time he's don't the run and hide when things go sideways. Last year he tried to run out of the whole damn stadium before the coaches even got to the locker room. He blew up at Allen on the sidelines last year. Did his post season media tour and threw shade on the Bills and Allen. (Odd he could be interviewed then, but not by local media). Was away from the team all off season. Sat out the first day. Wanted all the accountability. And then can't bother to say a few words or answer a few questions. Which he is actually contractually obligated to do, by the way. Accountability for thee, not for me. Meanwhile, Allen is up there taking questions. Poyer. Hyde. You know, actual leaders taking on an actual leadership role. I'm sure in a couple weeks he will poke his head out on Twitter with some cryptic tweet.

Titans to hire Bengals OC Brian Callahan as new HC
BuffaloBillyG replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
So, team has a young QB and goes out and gets an offensive minded HC. Good step in the right direction. -
Gabe's possible last impression as a member of the Buffalo Bills....

Yes, but the injury excuse may not be it. Here's the truth. It's divisional week of the playoffs. Everyone is injured. He's looked healthy on the field getting in and out of his breaks. His head coach even said a few weeks back that what's happening with him isn't medical and there's no medical issue. You're right though. Something has been off....

Hate is a strong word. Not saying it's entirely the incorrect word. But strong nonetheless.

What I found most telling is during the interview where he said that during the season there wasn't any talk of an extension. That's a solid sign the Bills were ok moving on. I do hope he gets his payday. Good for him and hey, good for the Bills. Maybe a 5th round comp pick? I can see the Giants being all over him with a nice contract offer.

Here's my logic. I'd root for the Ravens because I don't want Mahomes to have the chance to win another Super Bowl and hear all off season how he's the greatest NFL player that ever lived. Buuuut...I also don't want Lamar to make a Super Bowl before Josh. So...go Chiefs. In the NFC, I would love for the Lions fans to get a Super Bowl. They deserve it. Buuuut....I also don't want to see yet another franchise win their first one before Buffalo doesn't. The list is thinning out. So...go 49ers. In the Super Bowl...I'll go 49ers simply because I want a team that is paying a RB a huge contract to win it all just to piss everyone off.

I come from the future. This is a breakdown of what he says. - Don't see us making any splash signings in FA - Up tight against the cap - We wish we could bring back and pay everybody - Gabe Davis has earned the right to test FA. Would love to have him back. - Got 10 picks. Don't see us moving up in the draft. Need those lower contracts because it's hard when you pay a QB - Full faith in McDermott and the Bills ability to stay competitive next year. - I anticipate Diggs/Miller/White/Morse being back - Draft, develop and re-sign is how we intend to continue.
-
Here's the thing. Many of us aren't happy or optimistic he will be back. We are just dealing in the reality that he WILL be back and there's really not anything we can do that changes that. It's almost like some believe we get to like, take a vote or something.
