  1. I... they're doing WHAT in New England these days?!?!
  2. Reggie Bush would disagree. He can actually produce negative stats. Quite a feat. Bet she's faster than Coleman.
  3. I actually think that's a possibility. Depending on the numbers and if they have to call up a DL or LBer or something, he's probably a good bet even if he's just returning kicks. I think they call him up a game or two and see him right up to the active roster in Codrington's roster spot fairly quickly. Wonder what they would all run a 40 in today?
  4. Aside from the topic of Josh's struggles, I think there is something to that. Most of these guys at the skill positions on offense, Palmer, Samuel, Moore specifically have worked under other OCs in the NFL. They know how they have been used successfully. They know what the issue is.
  5. So we agree, he may see WR2 type targets. Kincaid is out for the foreseeable future. A week at best but I'd predict two almost certainly with the next game on a Thursday. Palmer is working his way back. Shakir, as you point out Davis doesn't play from the slot. So boundary targets, one could argue Gabe would get the most of considering Josh has worked with him longer than Palmer and Coleman combined. I feel like Josh would have the most trust there
  6. I agree, he was good at sideline catches and an occasional deep ball. And he NEVER should have been asked to be WR2. BUT on this offense, this year...where would he slot in now? Maybe you could force an argument that Palmer would be WR1? But that would likely be Gabe at....WR2 again.
  7. That...isn't as reassuring as I think he meant it to be....
  8. I don't know what metric he used to grade, but man those bottom 7 match what I've seen from the good old fashioned "eye test" I strongly disagree with him on Bishop who has looked far better then the metric he has assigned.
  9. I don't disagree with you here. There should have been some kind of pivot. Some kind of back up plan. And there may have well been. Maybe Shaheed was a pivot plan, but the Saints closed the deal with the Seahawks before ours fell through. Maybe he had a pivot plan to another team for a player we haven't even thought about. But teams talk. Once other teams found out the deal with Miami fell through and it was closing in on deadline time....they upped their asks to try and take advantage. We don't know what we don't know.
  10. I'm honestly shocked that these guys didn't miraculously heal and be fine for this game.
  11. I think after last week, a case can be made for every remaining game as to how they could lose. I'm sure some of that just stems from the pessimism from the Dolphin game. But heck even the 2 games you can see us winning....the Browns have a solid defense. After what Miami's Walmart greeter defense did to us....that could be an ugly 20-16 type loss. And the Jets are somehow on a 2 game win streak. They could be playing for Glenn's job in the final week.
  12. I have my own theory on what happened based on what we have been told and the timeline of certain events. Goes a little like this. I firmly think that Beane had a deal in place with Miami's former GM, Chris Grier with the terms that we saw. I think once Grier went to Ross to inform him of the trade that Ross disagreed and this along with the tension of the season they have had, led them to "mutually part ways". After the firing Beane called back and kind of got the run around after being told it's a done deal. I think Miami strung things out long enough that Buffalo didn't have a great chance to pivot to someone else with enough time to make a deal that made sense without making a severe overpay. Like I said, I see Beane moving on Waddle as an admission of his mistake. I'm HOPING that is is an indication that he will be very active either getting a top WR, or moving up the board to draft one. With the schedule we still have to play and how we looked, we could be starting in the 18-25 pick range. A move up the board from that point wouldn't shock me
  13. Absolutely correct. I think many just see these players as faceless interchangeable parts. And in the larger aspect of the game, that's not totally inaccurate. The game will chew you up, spit you out and move on. But, fans don't often enough acknowledge that these are real people that face some of the same stresses and downs that we all do.
  14. Agree. I'm going to put this as delicately as I can here to try and avoid backlash. Allen has always been at his best when he's taken extra time in the off-season to work on his mechanics. I think that's not up for debate, either. This last off-season, look at what his life was. Guy got married. Took some (much deserved) time away. We see he apparently made about 50 different commercials. He was busy on the media circuit as the newly announced MVP. Guy had a lot to do For all the great things Josh can do, slowing down time isn't one. There are only so many hours in a day and days in the week. He's correct his feet have been off all year. So has his arm. I cannot remember a season when I've seen him sidearm so many passes. I believe you are correct. His mechanics need another overhaul.
