Korea sent the US through winning in a similar meaningless game over Portugal in 2010(?). Give them credit. Germany was the better team and missed their chances, but SK was massively gritty. Two pretty lousy teams go through. I doubt either one goes beyond their next match.

Jerry rice possible return to NFL?
BeginnersMind replied to DBilz2500's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like a signing the Raiders would make. -
Prolonged rest. That’s it. Stretching doesn’t help much. Warming up and slowly working up strength through extension is usually the most recommended. Massage with ball or roller helps a lot but keep Doing it especially the most painful spots. I have been to every doc on Doc on the planet for mine. The above comes from a lot of different tries including even dry needling. Which was awesome (I kid!). Ice and freezing do nothing but make your hamstring cold for a few minutes.

Spain will win the group now.

Stellar skill on the Spain goal. VAR well done there.

Its been perfect in the World Cup. Can’t speak to the NBA usage.

Loving VAR. Great move and I hope it becomes the norm in all high level matches. Cleaning up a lot of controversies.

The UN Human Rights Council, like the U.N. and many other multinational agreements, treaties, and all of human interaction—is messy. Work together to fix it. Be a grown up country. Don’t just take your ball and sulk off and call names. International diplomacy requires engaged conversation, even when others are making statements we believe are absurd. To whoever said this was being duscussed in that global conspiracy thread, sorry I missed it. I don’t engage in the conspiracy stuff that dominates many here, and centers in that thread. Schumer and his gang by the way are fools. He is right that Trump could fix this with a flick of his wrist, but he could support any bill to fix it too. Either way, fix it and take the moral high ground. Ist ad he and Trump wallow in the muck.

"It was the first time a member has voluntarily left the United Nations Human Rights Council. The United States now joins Iran, North Korea and Eritrea as the only countries that refuse to participate in the council’s meetings and deliberations." I can tell you which country is hosting the party, and it ain't Eritrea.

Not according to Stephen Miller, the brains behind the criminal prosecutions/detentions. They are arriving to the trafficking justification after the heat came down. They want to criminally prosecute the illegals because of the annual immigration uptick, and if they do that, they need to separate the children who won’t be prosecuted from adults who will. Bush and Obama wrestled with the same exact issue and erred on the side of keeping families together. Trump is not and he’s now dealing with a political consequences. This wont last long. The heat is way too high. But Trump backed himself into a political corner. It’s now a staring contest as to who will do the right thing first. Trump backs off the policy or Dems join legislative action. Both will have the same effect. Families won’t be torn apart. Illegals will still cross. Some political point will be scored. And around we go.

Sad day. Tim Graham out at Buffalo News
BeginnersMind replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the exception of self glorification, I’ve not seen many express a lot of awe for other’s opinions here. We are mostly just shouting into the penguin hoard. -

He’s a person. Be nice. Except for readers conflating clickbait with quality. Make any topic into a “Top 5” list and it would get more views than Woodward and Bernstein breaking Watergate. -
Fan Advisory Board--Suggestions?
BeginnersMind replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let the crowd make the noise. I’m convinced that the train horn quiets the crowd. We get quiet waiting for it to stop. It’s awful and has nothingn to do with Buffalo. If they are going to pump a sound sound make it the rumbling buffalo stampede, which when played with them barreling through the snow, was ALWAYS the best opening for the team entry into the stadium. -

If you choose happiness, turn to page 45. If you choose piss-offedness, turn to page 98. -
Read This Story and Get Happier My role here is to invite your mockery, but if you adopt a few of these habits, you will be happier for it, especially practicing gratitude. We are really all so lucky to be alive in this country (even you Canucks are lucky!).

Peanut Butter: Crunchy or Smooth
BeginnersMind replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Whole Foods has one of those grinders. Just plain grind up peanuts into butter. It's killer without a single additive or other ingredient. And if you want to sweeten it, you can grind the honey roasted peanuts into PB--that is the best peanut butter I've ever had and I LOVE peanut butter. My wife likes the almond butter made the same way. I like almonds but not a huge fan of the butter. Please explain how eating crunchy PB has anything to do with the dentist. -

Should Tomi Lahren be attacked
BeginnersMind replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don’t know who she is (though I get the context from the article), but her political views have no relationship to the basic human kindness she deserves. I am sometimes in the presence of people whose views (racist) are abhorrent. But they are people, with opinions formed through time, upbringing, and/or trauma. Flaming their anger through attack can never sway them. Compassion, however hard it is to grant...may. -
The rush to find hypocrisy should follow many steps behind condemning awful behavior. When we suit up in party uniforms and ignore boorish behavior, don't you think everyone loses? Can you consider and judge each instance of clownish behavior as it comes?

The creator Jon Hein sold it for upwards of a million bucks maybe 10 years ago. He now works on The Howard Stern show.

Love isn't the way....

It didn’t have a goal. Just sharing a positive timely speech with you all and wondering if you wanted to discuss it. You didn’t and that’s OK. Cheers. -
And its creator is now more famous as the root target of “Hit ‘em with the Hein.” John Hein is a meme machine (ma-kine).
