So far we have a Peterman who looks OK with no pads in minicamp, bad with pads in training camp, and we all know how he looks in a game. We have no idea how Allen will do yet as it’s early. I expected Peterman to be the starter this season but I’m under no illusions that the guy may suck, given his level of suckitude to date. We will see if McD is quick to pull the plug if he doesn’t start playing well. I expect he will be.

Watching the China battle with interest. Sometimes the only way to beat a bully is with a punch and god knows Trump has balls. I hate his tactics and it will hurt, but once we get back to the trade negotiating table, the US will have a much better deal than it had before it all started. It's tough to stomach--but one of the best long term things he's doing.

What do you think they are discussing, if not attempting to pay off David Pecker to buy the story for AMI, something we know Cohen did. [edit again. I see your point on my Daniels-McD confusion.]

You think that leaked from Mueller? I guess it could have but all signs have point to it leaking from Cohen. I’ll have to back and read if there was any hint that it came from inside the investigation. I’d be surprised given its track record. The only thing I recall leaking—that didn’t come from someone being deposed leaking it themselves— is the list of questions. There's not much doubt that there was a campaign finance felony that will be prosecuted. It's why Cohen is being so cooperative. He's hoping to exchange everything he knows, which is probably a lot of dirt unrelated to POTUS Trump but related to The Donald, to lessen his inevitable sentence. To paraphrase Sarah Huckabee Sanders this week, most of us can keep more than one story in our minds. The bigger issue, if there is one, is the Russian collusion of which there's been little to no evidence. I don't know if that's because Mueller has nothing, or because he's running a tight investigation (which credit to him, he is). On that front, I am curious to see the report when it comes. I suspect it will show some high-level contacts and a lot of influence peddling and nothing directly linking DT to Russian collusion.

I don’t care much about this stupid story but technically it is almost certainly a violation and became one when Guiliani admitted that Trump paid Cohen for the payment to Daniels. That is of course the payment Trump said he knew nothing about. But now is on tape discussing. It it would be hard to say that was not in furtherance of his campaign and needed to be disclosed. Big deal or little deal? Probably the latter.

Just like the “Q” nonsense, you have to ignore 98% of the content and make up how the other 2% retrofits to news of the day. That's why I compared him to the G3 acts. Those guys just want to be themselves--despite the fact that they could plug in and make more $$ in a heartbeat. I admire it. It's kind of funny that his biggest popular song barely features his guitar.

I wasn't being critical--I like that 41 is young! I was just saying that he's not likely to find himself as the lead guitar in a happening band at age 41. He can certainly tour, and maybe be a guitarist for an established band. But for whatever reason, he's one of those guys who never broke through to that next level despite having all the talent in the world. Music is tough like that--I have known some unreal talented people and bands that went nowhere but local/regional. Plus, on the popular music stage at the moment, guitarists do not move the needle.

At 41, he’s not young. But he is great. Eddie needed his brother to manage him and VH had an awesome supporting cast. Any of thhe G3 guitarists over the years had all the talent in the world but elected to do their solo thing or just couldn’t work in a band setting.
