Right. Because I've never been in a professional setting where men openly discussed women sleeping their way to the top, attacked a woman's intelligence because she's a woman, and gave women less of a chance because she was young and likely to get pregnant. To quote Daniel Carver, "Wake up." Are things better? Certainly. Are they fixed? Not even close. The US still has tons of boys club pockets that will not admit women and to think otherwise is fantasy. And there are shark attacks. I'll take my chances in the water instead of a room with Harvey Weinstein. Stop it. There are bad actors and false accusers, of which this woman may well be one, but that is not the norm, and never has been. We are still combatting a culture where rape is an underreported crime due to victim-shaming. And as to the underlined, seriously? Women are trained in "guile and deceit?" Did this come out of a DnD/WoW session?

I’d be stunned if Mueller found anything on Trump. They found some dirty deeds but nothing directly to Don. It’s some that was wrapped up. People have been saying this since the 80s. Women are still oppressed and fighting back but assaults are better reported and the women are more widely supported then ever. There are bad actors to be sure, but the fear of rape accusations is mostly like a fear of sharks.

You attribute to me an admiration of Feinstein that I don’t have. An unverified recollection from 30 years ago should not see a public hearing unless there is a lot more evidence, but I see her timing as shrewd and manipulative. She dialed it in like a political operator. Too bad for her, the Rs called her bluff and held the hearing right away without a deawn out imvestigation. So she got outmanuevered. As I noted elsewhere, Trump had a solid political move last night on declassifying info. That was done to counter his headwinds.

Every throw from Josh Allen’s 1st start
BeginnersMind replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His 7th snap and he’s down 14-0. With your grandmother playing on the offensive line and your great aunt at wide receiver. You are going to have to look hard for positives this season. It ain’t going to whack you upside the head with a 2x4. -

Agreed. Jersey gets a bad rap for that part of the state. The rest is farmlands and great beaches. My wife and I talk about moving to the shore. -

The toxins are in your blood by by now. Your DNA is changed. And your kids are full on Jersey kids. Why did you not think of your children? Fortunately the natives can never go further from the state borders than a tank of gas can take them. They are Wall-E hopleless at the pumps. Kidding. I love NJ outside of the northern asphalt jungle. -

When he took his 7th snap, it was 14-0. Given that, I though he was composed. -
The cap situation McBeane inhereted
BeginnersMind replied to Batman1876's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only thing Beane could not have planned for is that two pro bowl lineman retire in one off season. The rest of this cap hell he saw coming and had to swallow. We talked last year about how it would be tough this season. Now the team that was -57 in point differential last year lost two pro bowl linemen unpredictably, is starting two rookies at the QB position on their respective sides of the ball...and go figure: they are struggling. It will take years to build this. If the Bills are not remarkably better after 2020-21 season, this regime screwed up. Next year will be good draft picks and hopefully a good FA off season. The guys they signed this year are all on short deals in anticipation of next year. What wont work: Another short term coach hiring and firing. That is the Bills disaster. To those who who think they should have kept Watkins, Dareus, Tyrod, Darby, I ask: For what reason? This team is maybe a 6-7 win team with them, picking #10 in the draft, and still cap-handcuffed. I’d rather deal with the 3 win season and have a top 3 pick and have a ton of space next year. So suck it up fans. Look at the young kids and see how they are doing, and dream of next year. This season is all about growth and process. Winning an odd game here or there will just be icing on the turd of talentless players and bloated contracts that Rex and Whaley handed us. -
The OL Is Bad....How Do You Fix It?
BeginnersMind replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade down in the off season from top 5 pick to middle and end of round one and use both picks for O line. Then use cap cap space for stud vet. It will be young but better next year. Groy Miller and Ducasse don’t start in 2019. Beane needs to stay away from skill position picks early. This team needs trench help. -
He asked for legal. Slingbox if you have a Buffalo friend. I can get NFL Sunday ticket Online because trees make it impossible for me to get a dish. It's a wrinkle in how to get it and it's great.

The Deep State War Heats Up
BeginnersMind replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Maybe, but there are 10 things in the news. “It” on the conspiracy board could be anything. I see Trump smartly wagging the dog here to take the heat off a lot of bad news for him. -

I don’t know about that. I just know what some guy linked me to in a message. I told him that he shouldn’t be accusing people of stuff like that anonymously. That’s bull ****. I don’t even remember who sent the link to me and tried to forget it on seeing it since it was such a serious allegation. So I would say the same to you. Unless you want to go public with your name and accuse him: STFU. Reread the question I asked. His pronoun didn’t give a lot of info. And it sounded like something huge was happening. -
I thought the abuser was another guy here. Hard to keep track.

Why are you such a jerk? I know that’s happening. What “it” is could be anything. -
Why would you say that?

And if the Senate votes to re-open inquiry on this, which at this point they probably have to do unfortunately, they will also be following procedure. I despised what happened with Clarence Thomas, not just because of the "he said, she said" nature of the accusation, but also because the worst thing anyone could say was that he made a joke about a pubic hair on a Coke can. The Rs should open up a time-limited inquiry to air it out and then move on. The Dems won't get the delay they are hoping for unless some bigger evidence comes up in the next day. No matter how often I wash my balls, they are never really clean: That's how the Senate confirmation of SC candidates feels ever since Bork.
