Coach Length To Put Program In
BeginnersMind replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is NO DOUBT that the two year turnover machine that is the Bills needs to stop. Of all those guys who got 3 or less years, only Ryan earned his firing. He was the worst. The rest deserved longer tenures, even the ones I didn’t like! Next year the trend needs to be upwards. and year 4 must be a clear season of depth and strength with playoff berths in the offing for 4-5 years possible. I’d give McD 5 years and only pull the plug if year 4 is a disaster. -

...leads to division, entrenchment, and disenfranchisement of the votes of people who live in population dense areas. That said, I appreciate you taking the issue seriously. You make the counterpoint perfectly. -

"Redistricting" or gerrymandering lead to the salamander districts that benefitted Rs in PA. Putting voters together and letting them vote together for candidates is called, what's the word, democracy. Gerrymandered districts favor incumbents who can entrench ideologically over a long term and will never work with the other side. This isn't an R or D problem--it's an American one. It just so happened that in PA, it benefitted the Rs for a long time until this year. Gerrymandering is a plague. I can't believe you'd defend it, except that it doesn't work out for you. -

God forbid Democrats and Republicans vote together in a district. The humanity! -
Peterman actually played quite well!

This was the biggest problem. Dabol had little to work with and did the best he could with Peterman's limited arsenal. -

Why do you guys love making up strawmen instead of conversing? I'll be waiting for you to back up your despicable accusation that I called him a racist or Nazi. He's just a guy who comes to call people names...60K posts' worth. What value he brings! -

Better bet is Beto/Gillum. Dem kingmakers (Deep State) have to make a big play for Florida. You are not the ringleader here anymore. You're just a member of the peanut gallery. And there's only one Nazi conspiracy guy here, so don't overuse that absurd strawman accusation. -

1 person, 1.1 votes. That's gerrymandering. The power of the city and population centers was offset by the Senate and the Electoral College at a national level. Gerrymandering, which benefitted the Rs in PA until recently, is a tool that both sides abuse to preserve power. It's not about reducing the influence of population centers (except when those centers don't vote your way). It encourages division and minimizes the chances for independent and moderate candidates. It's a scourge. -

The gerrymandered salamander shaped districts were not insane? Good stuff. The conspiracy echo chamber here thought the Rs would keep their majority in the House despite that huge improbability. But forgive them: They had Hillary for the win as part of the master Bildeberg plan in 2016. -

She was a substitute teacher at a Muslim school, ergo "supports and promotes terrorism." You are in the lead here on the conspiracy board for post of the day, but it's early. -

Never seen a line at 7 but I was about 20th in a line at 710 and #53 to vote. I’m usually in the low teens when I sign in. District is usually a swing district. Went for Obama twice and Trump last time. The normal neighborly greetings, no drama. -
His window is not more than 5 yards past the LOS and he can’t throw an out. Defenses attack his every pass because they have no worries about him. He is awful, make no mistake. He could have had a TD if he didn’t miss McCoy open by 15 yards too. He is awful. He’s only one of the offensive problems but don’t give him too much credit. He’s terrible.

This entire, miserable season revolves around 1 player

The guy who couldn’t beat out Nate Peterman for QB is the root of the problem? OK. -
Call your shot. Who goes today?

I don't see Beane's phone ringing for Benjamin, do you? Or Clay for that matter. They will both be free agents and neither one brings much. The only guy that could move is Shady. -
Brandon Beane deserves to be fired tomorrow
BeginnersMind replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Deapite my defense of the process and knowing this season would be a cluster, I agree 100% with this. Beane and McD totally botched the QB situation. It should have been Allen plus starting mentor. Anderson with a camp, frankly, would have been fine. But the belief in McCarron who we all saw was atrocious and Peterman who is the worst ever, is cause for concern. They do do very well on defense so I’m hoping it’s a blip. -

This was always going to be the year of disaster with all the cap hits. Next year the team must be better and trending hugely upwards or it’s trouble. Its terrible that Allen isn’t getting practice reps now. That is the worst thing happening to this team. He needs to be throwing. -

Fitz at age 78 will be better than any WR on the Bills. -

I answered this but am happy to repeat it. With the Bills WRs, Rosen would look like Nate Peterman. And as someone brilliantly elaborated, with the Bills WRs, Rosen would look like Nate Peterman "with a resting dick face." -

Rosen + Bills WRs = Nate Peterman. -
This has touched a social media meme nerve. My wife, who hates Kavanaugh’s politics, liked him until this week and thought he should be nominated. But then heard him testify and found him self/centered, thin skinned, defensive, and does not believe he is honest. I probed it a little (hard to do since we disagree on this), and a lot comes from her feelings similar to what you posted mounting roughly to “Men don’t get it.” She doesn’t know if he did it for sure but she feels he’s a liar AND he does not understand the issue he finds himself in the middle of, and his selfish anger infuriated her. I see others offering anecdotal stories opposed to this. Just sharing mine.
