Mitt Romney 2020?
BeginnersMind replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Trump already knows what Romney thinks. This isn't his first foray into Trump criticism. Mitt is challenging others, mostly in his own party, to do better than Trump, while giving Trump some credit. It was an even critique by someone who is a leading figure in politics, his freshman status notwithstanding. Whether he's doing it in general to inspire better behavior, or with a specific purpose (laying the groundwork for his or another's challenge to Trump), is something I don't know. But I applaud his convictions and it's nice to see people stand apart from blind party loyalty. I applaud Graham when he does it, and of course Paul does it all the time on the right. The left jibs and jabs all the time but usually over stupid PC malarky, though the rise of the far left is a new trend outside the party lockstep. Beto O'Rourke and Corey Booker are not wooden. Neither is Warren. Given the level of passion to come in the Dem primary, you won't get a stiff. Trump gave the primary blueprint: Speak to the unhinged. -

Maybe he just said it because he believes it, ie, conviction. Boogeymen are everywhere. -
Mitt Romney 2020?

Romney's piece is well said. He agrees with some of Trump's policies and not others. It's not as simple as his pocketbook as Gal said, and it's also refreshing to hear a politician not stand shoulder to shoulder with the party line. I voted for Mitt and I'm still happy with that choice, even though I didn't agree with him on everything. I don't think for even one second that he's running. But I do suspect that he's laying the groundwork for a little group of Republicans that may build a platform for an R primary challenger to Trump, especially if the economy wobbles in Q1. -
Sorry that I didn’t answer your condescending question that had nothing to do with my post unrelated to him. Like this week alone? I don’t believe there’s a paid operator here. Unlike some people. And that was my point. Umm. Do you want me to point out all the times he jumps in after I post? Not to mention that that he thinks I’m paid to post here because I disagree with him? My disagreeing and mocking his conspiracy is different than him making up (more) stories and spreading lies about me. He’s just upset because I started mocking him about it openly and won’t stop.

Apparently Democrats stand for nothing...or...

The overused cliche these days has something to do with renting space inside your head. Getting someone’s number is from the 70s old man. -
Trump foreign policy
BeginnersMind replied to Benjamin Franklin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not withdrawing in 30 days because the US is worried that the “defeated” ISIS could secure a foothold if we do. The adults are corralling this outburst. -
No one wants to do this, oh well. Snarky cynicism for the win.

They won't have the ability to do it but they surely will make the argument.

RBG and Thomas would be my guess, and yes to making Dems heads explode. I will add that. Imagine a Senate confirmation with candidates Warren, Booker, and Harris. Hahaha.

I will play for real. This is a fun idea. Trump is president There is no impeachment Trump appoints 2 SC justices -- More than one Dem head literally explodes No new wars Both sides declare a win on wall funding Both sides claim victory in results of Mueller probe Leading candidates for Dems by year end are O'Rourke, Booker, and Warren Flake or Kasich announce candidacy for Rs At least 1 of SecDef, SecState, Chief of Staff, AG will be replaced (even after the ones who are coming now) Dow ends 2019 roughly the same None of the alternative currencies like Bitcoin do crap and most have a laugh remembering when Q's storm will not yet arrive but the next election will be a conspiracy ***** (the filter does not like oh are gee why...funny) and the PPP boyz will be in high gear Bills are a playoff team The Bills starting RB is not on the team on Jan 1, 2019 Patriots win the division Deranged Rhino still won't quote my posts because he thinks I'm a paid Deep State operative DC Tom will call someone an idiot (Forgive me: I need a few gimmes) 4merperformer will still be on his crusade that Andrew Luck sucks because he's not Michael Jordan, or something Adding one extreme prediction for fun: Late in the year, Trump announces (I don't need to predict his medium do I) that he's had the most successful 4-year presidency in history and he won't be running for re-election, throwing the election process into utter chaos

You think he’s dead? Wake up sheeple! My prediction: At the end of 2019, we will all be fine. But during most of the days of 2019, most posters here will be freaking about about Trump, Deep State, Q, immigrants, and the bad guy of the day.

The Trump Shutdown
BeginnersMind replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Trump posts on Twitter and the world sees it every time. But if he did a public campaign rally (fireside chat is not going to be his style, let us be real), “the man” would somehow hide it. Hide the president. Zuckerberg would plot with Google to make it impossible for anyone to get the link. Sense is in short supply from the conspiracy gang, but on the upside, their fantasies are an endlessly giving fountain. The real issue is that Trump does explain his impulses. Some people are OK with them and already support them. Some are not. Talking to people about his impulses isn’t going to magically convert his detractors. -
You’re a really strange dude. Obsessed with me as some agent. Relax and converse dude. I’m not some paid agent and your insistence that I am is really odd and awkward for you. Just because I disagree with you doesn’t make me a paid part of the global cabal. (The way that you won't quote me, and tell others to do the same, because I won't get paid by the Deep State if you do, is one of the strangest individual campaigns I've ever seen on a message board. I can't imagine your source for that tactic.)

You’re odd obsession with the fictional account of me as a paid agent of the Deep State is creepy. And if you had credibility, your continued pressing of this strange storyline doesn’t help it. You are not so important that that I followed you here from some other place. The PPP board at TBD is similarly not that important to shaping a national agenda for agents of the Deep State. None of us are that important that we are the center of some huge conspiratorial narrative. It’s a politics subboard on a football website for a small and usually crappy team with a blindly loyal following.
