  1. So you are now telling me I can do what you said I couldn’t do? You posted bad info with confidence. Perfect for billsChan! About the same result as Hedge’s and DR’s magical wizard-inventors of UFO technology, I would expect. Looks like I posted this twice.
  2. Try again. You can submit anything in a patent application boy blunder.
  3. You’re wrong. You can submit a patent application for anything including magic. Which is why the magical thinkers here find this so exciting.
  4. Thank you. “He” made stuff up and submitted it. Anyone could do that. JK Rowling could submit a magic broom patent application tomorrow. This is just nonsense. I understand how applications like this fuel magic thinking. I like Star Trek too.
  5. I know this is deep down your rabbit hole conspiracy board and I’m going to hate asking, but what about this is interesting?
  6. You got your answer from Lewport but there is also always a guess. Keeper's can't wait until the ball is kicked or they don't have time. The kick yesterday was poorly placed (and maybe even the pace was bad) and Naher guessed right, which made for an easy save.
  7. Ertz has a clean game and never even got a warning. Some tough calls both ways but the better team won. More concerned about Lavalle’s hamstring than Rapinoe’s. She’s been playing so well.
  8. Everyone look: Someone said something on Twitter! Posting other people’s opinions is not news (sorry media outlets).
  9. In American football and basketball, they call it a commercial. In hockey, they call it a line change. In soccer, they only get it if the ref feels dehydration might be an issue.
  10. USA better most of the game. France’s goal capped off a bad stretch and after that there were few threats. Stoppage time was a f-en clinic. Ertz dropping into defense again shut downbeat France for most of the game and was a smart move. Morgan put consistent pressure on them. Lalas is is an idiot for his love of Dunn. She got owned in the first half and nearly gave up a critical goal in the second. Two games in a row where she wAs a consistent weak spot.
  11. I’m curious to see if France plays the same high line as Spain did. I don’t think that was what kept it close but it did help. If they do, maybe Ellis brings in Press (not my favorite) for speed. Press lacks finishing quality but she is fast as heck.
  12. 85 at kickoff. Not ideal but should not be decisive.
  13. Spain had one good scoring chance to go along with the bonehead play that lead to the goal. US will have to play well but it’s the right game for them to come out with the A game.
  14. No adult in the room on that stupidity.
  15. Don’t care how they do it. It’s long overdue. No matter when or how they do it, it will create a few days of excitement, no more.
  16. The decision Agree or not with the majority's reasoning (I do), the outcome of artificially creating division for partisan advantage is helping create more neighborhoods of echo chambers. If would be nice if state legislatures would reign this in and force candidates to listen to more POVs. What you'll see now is redder states getting redder and bluer states bluer. That is a bad outcome.
  17. Kim, make this happen. “Mr Simpson did what he did on the field but we choose not to celebrate those accomplishments by keeping his name on our Wall of Fame, which celebrates more than a person’s on the field accomplishments. We therefore have removed his name from the Wall and made a donation to ...” 5 days of uproar and that embarrassing stain on the stadium will be over.
  18. The news is breaking soon and it will be a tidal wave?
  19. To each his own. South Asians are crazy for cricket. Some Americans like baseball. Both bore many to death. But I like soccer, which also bores people to death.
  20. Why do NHL games play 4v4 in OT? It is just the rules. You can say you hate the 1/8 inch offside calls but VAR catches much more egregious calls than that and that’s its best feature. The game used to be about showing so many blown Offside calls. Now it’s not. It sucks when it’s close because being offside probably didn’t give the scoring advantage. But here’s the deal: You’re either offside or you’re not. 1/8 inch and 12 feet are both offside. If you introduce some subjective “did the offside make this a goal-scoring advantage” question for the ref to ask, it becomes a subjective disaster.
  21. I like golden goal more but this is fine too. Someone will always be unhappy if they want to be. I like the VAR as much as I like instant replay in football. It’s annoying but it helps get calls right. Removes a lot of controversy.
  22. In play goals are better but Spain was pushing, holding, and fouling all match long. It’s how they kept the match close. The problem with that strategy is that it gives up free and penalty kicks. Credit to them though, they played a great match. The Spain goal was a terrible play by the US, not a good play by Spain (though the shot to score was nice). They will be happy it didn’t cost them the match.
  23. Extra time is great. It’s like that kid game with the plastic ticking time bomb. The intensity ratchets up and the game gets frenetic. Soccer fans almost entirely enjoy getting to 90 and that moment of announcing the extra time period. It’s excellent. Many sports have random rule enforcement. Contact in basketball is impossible to call. Moving strike zones. Pass interference. All the rules to protect quarterbacks. Fans will always whine about something and claim it was better back in their day.
  24. The keeper had a brain fart. Basic soccer there. Can’t handle a pass from a teammate or it’s a free kick. She should have kicked it into next year.
  25. Or I’m there under one of 15 names the conspiracy gang tags me with. I did more than my fair share of time in billsChan PPP. You enjoy yourself.
