  1. Just some technical difficulties. We will fix it soon
  2. Fletcher has only 1 yr remaining. He could be asked to sign an extension
  3. Kelsay signed a 4 yr deal as a 2nd rd pick. One of the ways teams compensate a player for signing a 4 yr deal or even a 5 yr deal as a rookie is by adding salary escalators to the final yr. Clements, Bannan, and Wire all had salary escalators. Schobel, to the best of my knowledge, does not have an escalator I believe Moorman also has an escalator but it's tied to making the Pro Bowl
  4. When I get some further info, I will be writing a comprehensive cap analysis for all to read
  5. Kelsay: yes....likely $460,000 to about $2 million. But until that's confirmed, I'll leave the $460,000 Losman: not likely...but he does have salary escalators in his contract. Doubt he hit them though. Only 2 that I know of this year
  6. Might as well continue the discussion of 2006
  7. 2005 has also been updated but I need to make a couple of changes (Re: Ritzmann and Sobieski)
  8. HERE New rule starting in 2006. Due to the "uncapped" year in 2007, the June 1st rule for spreading out amortization over 2 yrs no longer applies. All remaining amortization accelerates onto 2006 no matter when that player is released in 2006 League Year. This is unless an agreement on the CBA extension is amde. Enjoy....this is an early look and subject to change
  9. I like how Howard Simon used my numbers
  10. Stop it! Yer makin' me blush! (What movie is that line from?)
  11. If the Bills were to cut Big ike today and he was claimed on waivers, the Bills would not have the cap space for the acceleration of his remaining amortization. A veteran cut after Nov 1 is subject to waivers and if claimed that players remaining bonus amortization immediately falls on year of release. This rule is the reason the Bucs did not release MeShawn a couple of yrs ago. Bills do not have the 2005 cap space for such an acceleration, thus, if it's true that he will be released, it will come before his $3 million roster bonus is due in 2006. Also, his release does not save $10 million, it saves less based upon timing of release. Please read HERE for a detailed look So shall it be posted, so shall it be done!
  12. Mike Williams, without restructure, will get paid $12 million over the next 2 yrs His salaries from 2006 & 2007 and the $3 million roster bonus in 06. The amortized bonuses listed are for bonus money already paid. The "deion" charges (debit/credits) are for cap accounting, not money given to a player
  13. I'm honored to have read Jack's post
  14. Try this LINK for my thread at BZ Try this LINK for the thread I posted here at TSW
  15. I doubt "Big Mike" is going anywhere. I bet he's signs a new deal after the season. Bills have to much invested in him to give up on him. Moving into OG may have been destined from the beginning
  16. Moulds is likely gone M. Williams is goin' no where. Bills will get him signed to an extension.
  17. Bills will get a comp pick this yr......just my opinion
  18. A few points: 1) Bills can still sign him to an extension and prorate the signing bonus for 5 yrs (2005-2009). However, to remain cap neutral, the Bills can give Nate a signing bonus of $6,617,650 ($1,323,530 per season). Bills do not have much cap space remaining, so giving $7 million ($1.4 million proration/yr) to sign and then a huge roster bonus(es) in '06('07) that would likely be guaranteed (i.e. prorated) is possible. 2) Without an extension of the CBA, signing bonuses can only be prorated for 4 yrs starting in 2006. See HERE 3) I do not believe the Bills will even try to re-sign him now. I suspect they are waiting to see the outcome of CBA talks and how signing bonus, etc are handled in the future. There may also be changes to the Franchise Player rules that none of us are aware of. If I'm a betting man, Bills wait until the off-season. If enough cap space is available to re-sign someone, it's likely to be a lesser player on the roster as I believe the Bills have less than $1.5 million remaining available on the '05 cap
  19. My condolences Jokeman I 've had QT for 10 1/2 yrs. Adopted her from a former co-worker when she was 2 yrs old. She a very loving and affectionate cat. Doesn't seem to be losing a step, but I know that one day, I'll be going through what you are....be strong
  20. I agree. I think everyone wants the cap number to match performance. He WAS the 4th overall, thus he was given a contract commesurate with the status of a 4th overall pick. He just needs to stay on the field
  21. If cut before 6/1/06 or traded during 2006 League Year, the dead cap will be $5,333,333 all on 2006 cap If cut after 6/1/06, it will be $3,666,666 on 2006 cap and $1,666,667 on 2007 cap
  22. I actually believe that MW is the largest cap burden because of the remaining amortization, nearly $7 million. Moulds can be released after the season and it saves $5.4 million.....his situation will be cut and dry........paycut or release (trade?)
