  1. More cap space will be opened up once the final roster is set. It's not likely to include anyone of substantial cap savings so maybe $1.5-2.0 million will be opened up....... My first priority would be someone like Kelsay or McGahee......I believe Clements will be playing his last season in B-Lo.....Bills cannot franchise him again and since his demands are ridiculous....I suspect he's a goner.
  2. Just a quick update for those interested........I presently have the Bills $11,796,635 under an "adjusted" salary cap of $101,865,911 with $15,000,892 "dead cap" ..............HOWEVER These numbers do not include bonuses for Whitner, McCargo, Youboty, or Peters Thus, I suspect the Bills are somewhere $6-8 million under........ Cap page will be updated after the first cuts
  3. Schobel could work magic as a LDE.....you would then have Kelsay coming off the bench as a 3rd DE with a versatile Denney as both a DE and DT.......however, I wouldn't give up a 3rd. They can have Posey and a 5th
  4. I do not remember receiving a letter
  5. Any word on what happens if you have Adelphia Powerlink?
  6. Slightly less than what Mario Williams rec'd
  7. 6yrs-$28 million w/ guaranteed money around $10-11 million.........
  8. And when they are announced, we will be able to hear 70,00+ say "Who?"
  9. Yes, $500,000 from Bennie Anderson release
  10. Dead cap for all players gone is already accounted for in the calculations and the amount devoted to the 2006 cap is at the bottom of the chart Before we start extending players, about $3 million will be needed for signing draft picks. Yes, I know it's different than the rookie cap number but that's because not all rookie deals count on the overall cap only vs rookie pool........I'll explain this later I also would make the safe assumption that about $1.5 million would go to the bonuses for those players I do not have info on yet......thus, the Bills would have about $6-7 million PLUS cap space gained from releasing players before the season starts....
  11. I finally was able to update the cap page......please use link in my sig Few points: Missing bonus info for Reyes Draft choices presently do not count on cap No bonus info for UDFAs No bonus info for Aiken, Stamer, and a few other players
  12. What tee time you gottawa
  13. UB Bulls football is football?? LOL......can I join ya?
  14. I had season tickets a couple of yrs ago when Syracuse came to town......if the schedule includes a game like that, I'm willing to fork over the money for seasons to get a chance to see a major Div I school beat up the my almater
  15. Ok....before y'all look at the number under the cap understand that I'm missing bonus information on many of the players re-signed by the Bills and FAs signed....the players are: WR Aiken, DE Denney, LB Haggan, OL Jerman, LS Schneck, LB Stamer I have approx bonus info for WR Reed, TE Royal, S Bowen, C Fowler, QB Nall, and DT Triplett.... I also do not know the details of an apparent Villarrial restructure.... so the impact on the missing info may actually be neutral or less than $1 million off the figure below.....and for those of you who always ask....it's adjusted for top 51 With all this being said, I presently have the Bills $12,705,058 million under an "adjusted" salary cap of $101,776,911 with $13,956,224 "dead cap" Don't y'all fret aboot the "dead cap"....it's 13.7% of the cap....that's slightly above average from a historical perspective. New cap page later this week.....hoping for my insider to cough up some info aboot the bonuses
  16. I would retire as a capologist I really do not know what I would do.......how I would feel......I really do not wanna even consider the possibilities
  17. I can check when I get home.....
  18. It would be 120% of his $7.226 million franchise tender to tag him again in 2007....$8,671,200 There's no rush to get him re-signed......his cap number is $7.226 million and the Bills still have approx. $9 millon in cap space....Bills could easily re0-sign him to a long -term deal and leave his 2006 cap number at the $7 million level....
  19. way too early to know how much the Bills will be under in 2007
  20. With the CBA extension, the June 1st rule is once again in effect.
  21. LOTS seriously, until I get more detailed numbers on the players signed as FAs and players re-signed...I cannot give an accurate picture for 2007. I also do not have a breakdown of NLTBE/LTBE......at this point, the best guestimate is between $10-15 million
