  1. Specifically, Ed Reed thought the staff Rex Ryan assembled in Buffalo were a bunch of idiots, whose coaching style consisted of yelling and swearing at players, instead of teaching.
  2. You beat me to it. I was going to say, "Ed Reed is dancing a ballet for the first act of the HOF induction ceremony? They must be trying to add some class."
  3. Or the starting O-line isn't really the starting O-line.
  4. My term for it is "self - aware." He knows he has a lot of talent/ability, but recognizes his lack of experience means he's got lots of work to do before he can be considered one of the better pro players at his position. I've heard others, including John Randle, make that comparison.
  5. If he's not 100%, he's close enough to be effective with no particular risk of reinjury. If not 100% now, he should easily be so by the opener in the Meadowlands. With another year of experience and improvement from Edmunds next to him, he should be even better.
  6. Nate Peterman is the perfect practice QB. He's a quick learner, follows directions and when everything is properly scripted he will deliver the ball accurately to the intended receiver.. Unfortunately, until proven otherwise, when the bullets are real he becomes completely discombobulated (In case you're wondering, that's a technical term). For Peterman's sake I wish it weren't so, be cause he is a genuinely great guy. Since that does indeed appear to be the case, I'm glad he's playing his football 3,000 miles to the southwest of Buffalo.
  7. So, in theory, he could be cleared to be a full participant for Friday evening.
  8. I don't know the stages of the concussion protocol proceedure, but if he's out taking snaps, he's already past the first stage. That would suggest it's not a bad one.
  9. Oh no! The defense is going to be victimized by freak plays all season long.
  10. Arguably their top 3 TEs. Nothing against Nate Decker, but why couldn't he have been one of those pulling a hammy?
  11. The Fins replaced Flaherty with Dave Gugliemo. Gugliemo has had some impressive stints as an O-line coach and some not so impressive. He's in his third stint with Miami, having also coached with the Giants, Patriots and last season with a very good Colts offensive line.
  12. Good spot for Ray Ray. He's been having a good camp. Lots of times it's about opportunity. Ray Ray has been getting lots of opportunity being a draft choice from 2018. He's making the most of it. I don't know that Nick Easley has been terrible, or even bad. I just don't think he's had much opportunity because the guys ahead of him have not crapped their pants (to use a Bruce Arians euphemism) and the Bills want to give them the reps they need to get better.
  13. He spent some time on the Bills' PS last season, so he's at least been exposed to the Bills' offensive system. I'm assuming he's more of a receiving TE than a blocker as he's a little on the small side for a TE. He has good athleticism and is a smart player. After a promising freshmen year at Penn State, his production has been a little underwhelming. Except for size, he checks a lot of boxes and should be better than he is. Obviously, he's a fill in while Buffalo's MASH unit deals with the injuries at TE. It would appear to indicate that Knox is longer than a day to day injury.
  14. Even if he plays the third week of the season, he'll do so with almost no training camp benefit, and very little practice of any kind in a new offense. It's hard to imagine he would be at the top of his game. Andre Reed was just on One Bills Live explaining how much less physical training camp is now than when he was playing (and participating in "Club Marv).
  15. The Giants suck because shooting fish in a barrel isn't any fun.
  16. I'll go with the Giants after seeing a report that Fin fans, at least some of them think their QB situation is about the best in the league. Those are some seriously rose colored glasses they're wearing down in south Florida.
  17. Buffalo is certainly going to find out what kind of run defense they have. If I recall last season correctly, there were a lot of plays where Buffalo would look like they have a great run defense, and then they would give up a 30 yard carry that would just break their backs. The problem was consistency. Tremaine Edmunds with a year of experience should help a lot, but the change on the defensive line creates a bit of uncertainty until we see what Jordan Phillips will do as a starter, or Oliver (if he's overtaken Phillips as starter by the season.
  18. Video shows it was a textbook tackle. Drove his shoulder into Lincoln.
  19. Did he lead with the head, or turn it aside and lead with the shoulder?
  20. Coach: "If you bust as a QB, Josh, I think you have a shot on Dancing with the Stars."
  21. I think our forum thinks their forum is insane. Hey, if I bust as a QB, I can always compete on Dancing with the Stars
  22. I remember when he was drafted. He was supposed to be athletic and talented with a streak of nasty in him. Just more evidence that you can't be sure about a guy until he's on the field in a game, and even then it takes a while.
  23. I know Mayfield made it. I very much doubt Josh Allen did. Next year, Baby!
  24. The language of the tweet was a bit muddy. "Late in his progression" could mean Josh Allen was slow making his reads or (more likely) It was his third or fourth read rather than his first or second.
