  1. The main way that warm weather affects the spread of disease is through human behavior changes. In cold weather, people will tend to gather in groups in contained spaces. Personal space increases out doors where there is so much more space available. People need to understand that the virus doesn't automatically become less virulent because the temperature goes up. Social distancing and good hygiene are still critically important.
  2. I suspect the greater population density in NYC makes it a lot harder to get everybody to comply with social distancing. It is going to be a bigger problem for the rest of the state with each passing day, but I don't really think it will rise to NYC's levels. I'm hoping at least.
  3. If Bill O'Brien really trades Watson, it shows he has a serious professional death wish.
  4. I actually break a 500 mg vitamin C tablet in half and take half in the morning and half at night. Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and gets flushed out of your body easily. In theory, taking half as much at a time and taking it twice a day should keep the level in you body more even. If I develo0p any symptoms of any disease: common cold or coronavirus, I double up and take 500 mg at a pop.
  5. I'm wary of Bradley Anae. He's a high effort player and uses some good techniques, but I don't think he has the athleticism to be an effective pro. You could add Jabari Zuniga from Florida to your list. He had a real nice combine. He had the top 10 yard split in the entire position group and one of the better bench presses. He's a project though. Same with James Smith-Williams, a late round sleeper type with athleticism and upside.
  6. Careful on the zinc. It is not generally suggested as a daily supplement because it's too easy to end up with toxic levels. The same is even more true with chloroquine. The advice I've heard is don't take a zinc supplement unless you're symptomatic. As soon as you are symptomatic, you can start taking it, but get your doctor's advice on how long. Don' t take chloroquine unless directed to do so by your doctor. Vitamin C is being used in large doses with effectiveness. Doctors are administering 1500 mg twice a day through an IV to COVID-19 patients. I only take a modest dose of that 250 mg twice a day. Should I develop symptoms, I would increase that.
  7. Duke is never going to be fast.
  8. A three way race for the AFC crown! Wowsers!!!!!
  9. It's pretty obvious. The Jets lost Robbie Anderson, and had to replace him. They get something close to Anderson in terms of size and speed. We know Anderson's record of production is far superior, and the only reason they signed Perriman is to replace what they lost. The contract reflects their skepticism that Perriman will be effective, a one year deal. If Perriman falls flat on his face, he's one and done with no long term cap issues. Naturally, I hope that's what happens. It will be interesting to watch what happens in any case.
  10. I'm here pretty much. Yeah Josh Allen needs to take another giant step forward and the Bills need to add a complement to Devin Singletary who can get chunk yardage. That's not a complaint about Singletary, but late last season, when Singletary wasn't on the field, the Bills couldn't do a thing on the ground. On defense, Buffalo has a killer rotation up front. Both Oliver and Jefferson can get after the QB from the 3 tech spot. Both Lotulelei and Butler can tie up blockers and are strong against the run. Oliver and Jefferson are both better versus the run than Jordan Phillips was. Addison is comparable to Shaq Lawson in every way but age. I think with the quality across the board, Hughes is going to have more chances to get sacks. I think Buffalo will be top five in sacks this coming season, and they will get them from multiple spots, not one or two superstars.
  11. I'm eager to see what kind of improvement Knox makes this season. He has made it his personal goal not to drop any passes this season. I'll believe that when I see it, but I do think one can improve in that area with work.
  12. I agree Beasley is very good, and yes, he'll break a deep one every once in a while. He mostly gets open via his route running and short area quickness as he lacks size, serious deep speed and strength. He is essentially a very smart receiver, who uses his intelligence to create opportunities. If you can have that, plus some combination of speed, size and strength, you're talking elite, but I'll take what Beasley gives you any day of the week.
  13. Beasley is a chain mover, but he's not the all over the field threat that some slot receivers are. Both Brown and Diggs have the ability to score anytime. Diggs, especially has the ability to get open on anybody. I'm content to say they are one of the better WR trios in the AFC. It will really take Josh Allen's transition to a new level to prove they can be the best.
  14. I would say without a doubt KC's receiving group is the most dangerous in the AFC, but they weren't as productive as you might expect in 2019.
  15. It's here now. For myself, I wouldn't mind a prove it deal at a reasonable price. If Perriman's price is to high, he can go elsewhere.
  16. I think he makes the team, and, if there is a season, his snap count will increase. Beyond that, it will depend on what he can do with those increased snaps.
  17. That would be a nice draft. I'm not sure about Carlos Davis in round 7. He has great athleticism for a late round pick, but with Lotulelei, Butler, Oliver, Harrison, and Jefferson, Buffalo has a crowded room in the defensive line interior, and given Davis' upside, I don't know that he would last long on a PS without getting snapped up to some team's active roster. For a late round pick, that's a fairly weak argument against though. If Buffalo can keep him through a whole season, he would be a good candidate to make the team in 2021, assuming the Bills jettison Lotulelei at that point.
  18. I expect one (anywhere from round 2 to round 4). I'd be surprised by 2.
  19. I am most intrigued by Antonio Gibson, but he might be the least sure prospect of all the running backs. I think he has the highest upside. His body and skill set make him look like the second coming of Saquon Barkley, but his 39 career carries in college (he played more WR than RB) mean that its possible he'll do nothing in the pros. Best case scenario - he probably still needs time to learn how to block and sharpen his running vision, use of blockers and moves.
  20. Maybe he'll do a demonstration on catching the axe. I predict he won't try it more than once.
  21. If by chance they do not play a full season, they could play a shortened season. If they don't have the season at all, it begs the question of how they handle the draft in 2021 since there will be nothing in 2020 on which to base draft order. Do they simply repeat the 2020 draft order (before trades)? That would be a huge boon for teams at the top of the order. Maybe they would consider a lottery system for the entire draft. Cincinnati would have 32 chances in the pot to be drawn #1 again, Washington would have 31 chances and so on.
  22. eeeeuuu
  23. The downside of Antonio Gibson (mentioned in some earlier posts) is that he was rather lightly used as a runner. He was in a lot more plays as a receiver. He's going to be rather raw as an NFL runner, especially at things like blocking and blitz pick up. As such, he's a late round flier type that you bring in and give a light load while you teach him how to be an NFL running back.
  24. I think training camp will be held, but it may be closed. There will be quick COVID-19 tests available and the team will make sure all player, coach and support personnel are virus free going into camp. Once they are in camp, they can essentially be in quarantine during the course of training camp. Any players who test positive would be quarantined separately and get medical attention until they are ready to join the rest of the team. If public gatherings are not allowed by then, they can have preseason games without live audiences. I think there will have been enough research done by the season that several medications will have proven effective at alleviating symptoms in the most severe cases. That may mean that the extreme pressure on the health care system will be relieved, as a lot of the patients who now have to be hospitalized will be able to stay at home. I think the two things that are the most worrisome about the pandemic are 1. the high death rate among the elderly and persons with underlying medical conditions and 2. the high number of patients needing extended time in ICU with ventilators. There is not enough medical equipment available or enough ICU space available to accommodate the need in a worst case scenario. Should patients not get the medical treatment they need, death rates will go up a lot more. Effective medications can make a drastic difference in that scenario. The league is proceeding at this point on the assumption that something will lead to the pandemic being on the downside of the bell curve. Medication could do that. I think the season could take place under those circumstances.
  25. His time at the combine is listed a 4.39 in the 40. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/antonio-gibson?id=32194749-4241-5285-a215-d633ff9a6f70 He looks faster than 4.58 because he is - by a lot.
