  1. I have mentioned Gibson in multiple posts. I'd pick him on day 3.
  2. Everybody's entitled to an opinion.
  3. I misread your initial post. Whether Singletary is at his ceiling or not, I don't know, but as I mentioned in my initial post, agree with you or not about Singletary's potential, the Bills can use another good all around running back.
  4. Funny, I look at the same stat and conclude there were 12 running backs who had better receiving stats than Singletary. Still, I think its better than not to have a second RB on the roster who can do some of everything. If you want a ground and pound short yardage specialist, I think he ought to be a third RB on the roster. I'm not counting Taiwan Jones, who won't get more than about 5 snaps all season at RB.
  5. I just can't resist a little cheap humor when I run across it.
  6. I'd consider him. There are a few other players who give you some interesting versatility like Shenault. Lynn Bowdin and Antonio Gibson. You can pick up either of those guys a couple rounds later
  7. I'm just glad that Rachel Bush agrees with what the Bills think her safety is worth.
  8. That would be my guess. The treadmill recorded his peak speed achieved during his treadmill run.
  9. So he projected 7.1 wins a year ago? Championship!
  10. It is true that Beane has made clear his intention to fill holes as much as possible via free agency. He's been very open about that. I question any notion, however that Beane has been GM of the Bills long enough to be able to define his tendencies that closely (basically predicting he won't draft a running back high because he didn't sign one in free agency) is kind of silly. Actually, he did sign Taiwan Jones, though admittedly it will be a total shock if he lines up at running back more than 5 times in the whole season.
  11. Their skill sets are not similar besides both being able to throw the ball. Cap room is a major issue for New England as has been stated. I expect Belichick to draft a QB and maybe keep an older veteran on the roster to back up Stidham.
  12. A rookie WR will have little to no impact on the Bills this season, but I'm OK with it as a move for long term strength at the position, if they can get the right person.
  13. Ironic that the reason teams shied away from Gronk was a history of back injuries. Remember why Troup washed out of football? It was his bad back.
  14. If Buffalo's starter at QB was Tyrod Taylor, they would definitely consider pursuing Cam Newton. Otherwise. . .
  15. If someone really wanted to, we could also draft AJ Green, a cornerback out of Oklahoma St. I don't think he's anything special though.
  16. I still like Antonio Gibson as a sleeper pick. He was in the WR group at the combine, but he was Mr. Everything for Memphis and he took snaps at RB and as a wildcat QB. He was listed at something like 6'3" at Memphis, but measured just 6 ft at the combine. But he's 228 lbs and runs a 4.39 40. He could back up Singletary and get reps at WR if Daboll wanted to use him that way. You might get him in the fourth, but to be sure, you might have to grab him in the third.
  17. Not that I disagree with your conclusions, but I'm curious what you base it on. Inside knowledge or an interpretation of what is generally known of the Redskins among the natives?
  18. There is plenty of potential in the draft, but nobody who is likely to be more effective in his rookie season than Diggs is right now. And after Jeudy, Lamb, and Ruggs the risk creeps in a little more that they might never be as effective as Diggs, who is a known commodity. Denzel Mims is an immense physical talent, for instance, but was not a sophisticated route runner at Baylor. He might well learn, but the fact that he hasn't been carries some risk, and he certainly isn't going to run routes in his rookie season the way Diggs does now.
  19. I know how much fun it is to jump on something like this, but come on. He "liked" someone's post. That can easily be seen as appreciation for a fan's vote of confidence as opposed to inferring anything close to agreement. In any case, cornerbacks have to be confident in their abilities or they are toast before they start. The real issue is will New England have enough quality CBs to be able to cover John Brown and Cole Beasley as well, seeing that all three have the ability to create separation.
  20. The same thing was said about Kyler Murray leading up to the 2019 draft. It didn't seem to hurt his draft status, nor did he crash and burn in his rookie season. With the need that teams always have at QB, and the inevitable yearning to find the next great one, someone will overlook the alleged poor interviews.
  21. For years, we have expected, and normally saw the Bills find starters in the draft. That's what every team expects. Lacking a first round pick, there is a very real possibility the Bills will not find a starter in this draft. What position could they draft where a starter could be found. Of course, it won't be at QB. Or WR. A starter on the offensive line is unlikely. The Bills look like they're pretty happy with their TE group and likely wont draft any. At RB, they have Singletary, who looks like he can handle the position at the pro level. On defense, there's not much room on the line for a new starter. Maybe they could draft a linebacker to replace Lorenzo Alexander, but Lorax only played a limited number of snaps at linebacker. When the defense was in a nickel formation, Alexander either moved to the line or came off the field. The Bills already have some worthy candidates on the team for Alexander's role. If Zack Baun drops to them, they might jump, but the odds are good he'll go quite a bit earlier. The Bills could draft an edge rusher, but he would almost certainly be in a rotation rather than being anything close to a full time player. There is no safety the Bills could draft who is going to unseat Hyde or Poyer. At CB, there is a chance a second round rookie could unseat Levi Wallace and beat out bother EJ Gaines and Josh Norman, but the Bills don't seem to have any great urgency to find that guy. I think that the Bills are content to find a role player in the second round. I think running back is certainly a candidate to be the pick and there will be good value there, and the Bills need to find someone reliable to share the load with Singletary. They need an all around back who can get outside, run between tackles, catch passes and learn to be effective in blitz pickup. In short, they need a player who is a threat to do some actual damage when Singletary is not in the game, a running back who won't suddenly make the Bills offense predictable just by coming on the field. I think it is possible they could instead draft an edge rusher, or a linebacker or an offensive lineman or a cornerback. They might get a starter, but I don't think Beane will be crushed if they end up with a role player.
  22. I think there are players he's still looking at. I don't think he feels a lot of pressure to move quickly though.
  23. “I can’t believe I said that, used that word,” he said on SportsCenter. “Obviously it was a poor choice by me to say what I said about Amari. Anybody who knows me — look, quite honestly, I think the world of every player and have a great deal of respect for every single player in the National Football League, including Amari Cooper.” LOL Rex finds it's easier to shoot his mouth off and say he's sorry later instead of showing a little personal discipline. Always has. Always will.
  24. I like him. He doesn't have the seniority of a lot of the staff. If it were me, I'd get rid of Mike Schope and keep Capaccio. I'm just guessing they won't think the same way I do.
  25. I'll give him another 14 hours. Props, MR. Kraft
