Caanda Mints First Coloured Circulation coin
TigerJ replied to millbank's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd forgotten it was the $2 coin. It's been a while since I've been toCanada. Thanks for setting me straight. -
OK, since women are dominating the subject matter,

Heather Tesch isn't as old as some of you think. She is among those who have had babies within the last couple years. I think Jen Carfagno is the baby at the Weather Channel. I think she got the gig right out of college. I shoulda been a meteorologist. Who knew? -
I'm tired of all this WM hype after just one game
TigerJ replied to freak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's totally bogus to discount a 31 yard run. If you start discounting whatevery you want, you can make stats say whatever you want them to say. You say, "If Henry hadn't slipped on 3rd and 2, and had a 20+ yard. . ." but the fact remains he did slip on 3rd and 2 and didn't have a run over twenty yards. You can't go by what ifs. You have to go by what is. I will agree with you that we can't declare Willis McGahee the winner of the "best back in Buffalo" award on the basis of one game. On the other hand everything McGahee's done suggests he should be given ample carries so he can continue to develop. The Bills are not losing anything when McGahee plays instead of Henry. -
Caanda Mints First Coloured Circulation coin

I love Canada Mints, especially wintergreen flavor. The "Loonie" is two tone, gold and silver color, and nobody, but nobody want's to collect those. I assume the color is mixed in, not just painted on. I wonder how they do it. -
I dont know how to post links but
TigerJ replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't do anything fancy with posting links, John, but it's really easy. You can just type the url in when you type your post, and the website causes it to be a link. Sometimes, I'll have two windows open, the windo where I'm typing and the window I'm refering to. Then I just cut and paste from the address bar on the page I want the link to lead to, and paste it where I'm typing the message. I've never bothered to learn the trick of having other works besides the url accomplish the link (like Millbank did in this thread). Someone else can tell you about that. -
Jonas Jennings had a terrible game versus the Jets because he probably should not have been playing for health reasons. He's better than he played that game.

There are some very pretty girls on the Weather Channel. Can't give a link, but look at Kelly Cass sometime. I can't remember the name of the girl who does their road features but she's pretty nice too.

If as we hope, the Bills offence is finally starting to develop a little chemistry, that may grow upon beating the Ravens. If that happens, I definitely think Buffalo can beat the Jets at home. When you start out 0-4, every game after that is going to be "the most important game of the year" (There's one for the cliche thread) until or unless the team is mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs. Then there are only moral victories to be won.

(ot) Jesus or Satan, you make the call!

Manson on steroids? Like Aussie said, he's probably a great guy. -
I don't like baseball enough to have strong feelings one way or another. I was a Yankees fan as a kid even though I didn't watch much baseball. There is that part of me that doesn't like the "Yankees are the best team money can buy" reality of major league baseball today, but the Yankees are the only and last team I ever liked. I think I would root for the Sox in the series, but that's more just out of the realization that they have been so long away from the championship. I suppose you could call it a "pity vote." But really, it's just hard for me to care too much. That would be true if the Yankees were in the series too.

One plus for natural wood: if the door takes a nasty gash, repairs are easier and more satisfactory with solid wood.

I'm not saying, don't get a lawyer, but just on the face of it, guest from Hemet (or are you John from Hemet and your computer didn't log you in?) it sounds to me like you might actually have more legal grounds to pursue than the girl who was downsized.

The Bills offence versus Miami was not great, but it was somewhat better than wretched, particularly considering the wind. Like most national media guys he's a step behind. Things were wretched in the first four.

If Milloy and Vincent aren't injured..?
TigerJ replied to mtdoak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There were a lot of things that could have affected the outcome of those first four games. That's always going to be the case when games are real close. -
Good analysis and a reasonable prediction at the article's conclusion, but there is a reason they play the game.

I think "nm" was cryptic allusion to Roberto Duran's comment when he quit a fight with Sugar Ray Leonard. "No Mas" English translation (I think) "No More." Not speaking specifically about ICE, I think some people take things very personally and respond in kind. Things can escalate into personal attacks, which are in theory not permitted by the TOS, but which happen from time to time regardless. Now speaking of ICE, since he held something of a minority view, I think he got embroiled in more of those situations than most of us. Since Bills fans, wherever they are, are not all that different, I think ICE is destined to end up unhappy and feeling persecuted pretty much wherever he posts as a Bills fan.

Look at it this way. You are going to both win and lose no matter what you do.
-
Home team gets 3 points. On a neutral field the spread would be Ravens by three. The Ravens have won three games. Buffalo has won one game. I think the spread is modest given the circumstances. However, I think the Bills win outright. I'm biased though.

I have three crowns, a double and two singles. The test they did was to make sure the nerve in the tooth was till alive. If it were dead, you would inevitably develop an abcess at the bottom of the root, if you did not already have one. The root canal drills out the dead root and replaces it with an inert material. That prevents any future abcess from forming. It's better to have a live tooth (nerve) because a dead tooth (after root canal) tends to become brittle and breaks more easily. The dentist grinds down enough of the old tooth so that the crown can cover it completely. I presume the "buildup" process is to make it a little higher so there is a little more for the crown to hold on to. Two of my crowns are fine now. The third is loose, so I'm guessing I'll have to go back and have it glued back on. I had a temporary on it for about three years and had no problem. Makes me wonder why a permanent crown is better.

Mularkey has verbally toyed with the idea that Losman might be used in goal line situations because his ability to run places a lot of extra pressure on defenses. No chance he'll be starting though.
-
My brother lives in Hershey and commutes to Philly by train every day. That's about a half hour from you isn't it? I expect a defensive struggle. Turnovers are a likely key. Whether or not Drew Bledsoe can throw deep will depend on his protection. The downfall of the Bills in the second and third games, especially the Oakland game was the inability to pick up blitzes. It wasn't just the line, it was backs and philosophy too. They've gotten better, but Baltimore presents a huge challenge. The Bills are improving overall, which is to be expected with a new coach and a new offensive system. One factor in the Bills' four losses is that, based on opponents' win/loss record so far this season, Buffalo had the toughest schedule in the league through the first four games. Two of those first four opponents are still among the leagues three undefeated teams.
-
I think he has a chance ot be on the field next year, but if he thinks he's going to play Sunday, he's smoking something. . . Oh yeah, that's why he quit in the first place.

Mularkey just put everyone's foot in their mouth
TigerJ replied to kota's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Translation: I just heard Mike Mularkey say that Travis Henry would start against the Ravens if he's healthy, and the Bills would deal with the Sam Adams situation privately (hence will not be cutting or trading him). You would have saved some confusion if you'd just said so, kota. -
Joe Theisman had a pretty bad compound fracture of his leg once. I think the bone actually protruded through the skin.

KFFL picked up on the Losman goal line comments

On the second story, George Wilson is 6'1" and around 210 lbs depending on what source you find for information. The one source that listed a speed (couchscout.com) says he runs a 4.56 40. I take couchscout with a grain of salt on that kind of information though.
