I keep trying to use the cowbell image, but it's not working. I am right clicking on the cowbell picture then clicking on "save as." That gets it into my computer, but when I go to my TBD control panel and try to use it as my avatar I get an error message, that I can't use that type of picture. What am I doing wrong?

Pats will have the first round bye. There is a very good chance that should Buffalo beat Indianapolis or San Diego, NE would be Buffalo's next opponent. The biggest trick will be beating one of those two teams to get that far.

What Bills scenario would you rather see?

Just win, baby. It's the only way. -
Evans #1 in TD's, #2 in Yards for Rookie WR's!
TigerJ replied to JP-era's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thumbs up for Lee Evans! -
I think Gregg Williams had a legitimate chance to succeed, but blew it mostly with his consistently bad choices for assistant coaches. Ericson could easily end up being a scapegoat for the horrible players they have in San Francisco due to the GMs missmanagement of the cap

Eric In VA asked yesterday if we were that good

I got it. Hated the show though. -
Bills Daily does a pretty decent job of keeping up with the injury situation. http://www.billsdaily.com/injury/

I wholeheartedly agree. There are many factors that have gone into the present turnaround. McGahee started poorly at blitz pick up, but has learned quickly. The line has played better, though I think it still has room for improvement (run blocking in the middle of the line). The receivers have bought into the system and for the most part are catching the ball better. The development of Evans has been a factor. Drew adopting the new offensive thinking has been a factor, as well as has the coaching of Sam Wyche. Drew really is playing differently from what he was a year ago, and it's not just making quicker decisions, it is his willingness to take off and run when receivers are covered. He's making yardage. The STATUE is making yardage on the ground. -
Hotels to stay at for the Bills game Sunday
TigerJ replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can check those around the airport. I don't know all their names, but I think there is a Best Western and a Howard Johnsons among several others. If I were you, I'd just check the internet. -
I think it was an intersquad scrimmage. I resembled the ones Buffalo has with the Browns in early August.

I did not see it, but my son claimed the breathing disorder was sleep apnea, where the body stops breathing during sleep. In White's case he simply did not wake up this time. Normally a person with sleep apnea will awaken many times during the night, resulting in poor quality sleep and causing the person so affected to drop off to sleep during the day at inapproptriate times. I don't know if anyone recalls, but some years ago, while playing with Washington, Bruce Smith was arrested for DUI because he fell asleep at the wheel. In his defense, he claimed he had sleep apnea. Wouldn't it be a colossal coincidence if the two greatest pass rushing defensive ends of all time both turned out to be sleep apnea sufferers?

I expect he'll get in in the fourth.

If I am reading this correctly
TigerJ replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either/or will do it. Indy could rest starters, which could mean it will be up to St. Louis to take care of the Jets. -
If Indianapolis loses today, they are the fourth seed in the playoffs regardless of what they do next week. The main effect of an Indianapolis loss today would, I think, be that they play harder to get a win next week, not wanting to head into the playoffs with a two game losing streak. That means, IMHO, it decreases the chance of a Denver win next week. On balance, it's good.

The biggee was a Rogue (brand name) acoustic electric guitar and a 30 watt Kustom (brand name) acoustic amplifier. I'll use it in church. My 35 year old Epiphone acoustic will come home, and I'll use it when I play outdoors. I bought my wife a diamond anniversary ring, a compact executive style stereo system, and a wall mount stand for the TV in our bedroom. Our two college age girls got 4 megapixel Kodak Easyshare digital cameras, with accessories, and my son got a 400 watt home theater system.

We Need to Root Hard for San Diego
TigerJ replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, I don't think much of Denver. If McNair plays, I definitely think Tennessee can win. Billy Volek has come on a bit lately, I'm not so sure he can't pull off a win. -

Wouldn't it be simpler to root for Tennessee? -
I'm not an expert, but I do know that your choice of balls will depend somewhat on the way you bowl. Some bowlers have a heavy duty hook. Some bowlers throw a straight ball. Some material used in making a ball will grab the alley more, thus accentuating the hook. Other materials are harder and more slippery. If you throw a mean hook, you'll want a ball that grabs the alley, but the degree to which you want it to do so is a matter of taste and comfort. If you throw a straight ball, more common among women bowlers, you might want a hard ball to minimize the effect of any unintentional spin that could send your ball in an unanticipated direction. Generally speaking, cheaper balls are harder. I would speak to a pro, or at least a respected shop owner.

Why the Bills will NOT make the playoffs...
TigerJ replied to Bossman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'l give you the fact that by and large the Bills' schedule the last several weeks has not been the toughest in the league by a long shot, but the "smoke and mirrors" comment is bogus. Buffalo has done it by doing what good teams are supposed to do, shutting doing offences, forcing turnovers, and playing great special teams. Your comment that special teams and the defense can't continue to play the way they have is faulty. Of course they can. You are reasoning that they aren't that good, therefore they must have gotten lucky. I think they are that good. Good defenses and special teams units make plays because they are good, not because they are lucky. The offence has been disappointing sometimes, but crappy weather has been a factor in some of those performances. Buffalo should win handily against the 49ers, another crappy team. Pittsburgh will be a tough game, no doubt, but there are several reasons why the prospect of beaten Pittsburgh is not hopeless. Their play has been relatively ordinary of late. The Pittsurgh offence has to face a brutal defense in Baltimore this Sunday. If they win (and they almost have to for Buffalo to stay alive) they will have clinched home field throughout, and the players have already been saying that in such a case many starters would sit out and rest in the finale against the Bills. Looking at the other teams that have to lose, it has been evaluated in other locations. I don't think Denver is a serious threat to beat out Buffalo. Should Baltimore beat Pittsburgh, they will be a threat. The Jets will lose to NE, but wil be favored against St. Louis. It's not a lock though since St. Louis is at home and in a dome, the kind of environment where their passing attack can come alive. Jacksonville is also a very serious threat. Both Houston and Oakland are playing OK ball at the moment, but it ould be an upset for either to knock of Jacksonville. The odds do not favor Buffalo, but, there is absolutely no reason not to give Buffalo hope, unless you're a troll, Mark Weiler, or a hopeless pessimist. -
Cornerbacks Taken Before Terrence Mcgee
TigerJ replied to EnderWiggin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wilson has been a productive starting free safety for the Patriots for two seasons now. That's not a bad result. -
I disagree. First, I think running back is a more critical position. If you don't have a decent running back, opposing teams can shut down your ryunning game. Then everything else goes to pot. Second, Neufeld is not that bad a blocker, nor is Trafford that bad a receiver. Banta? Well Banta's a long snapper. He probably has some blockng skills, but he's caught the same number of passes in his career that Takeo Spikes has caught this season alone. Of course, it was the other team's passes that Spikes has caught.

We had a little snow in WNY yesterday. Rain now, supposed to turn back to snow later. Some lake effect tomorrow (Christmas Eve). Light snow and cold on Christmas Day.

Dante Brown is not going to replace McGahee or Shaud Williams. He's an insurance signing for now, but he has some upside, and assuming Travis Henry departs in the offseason, Brown has some upside. He definitelly has more physical attributes than Joe Burns. Here's an interesting article from the Steelers training camp in '03: http://www.post-gazette.com/steelers/20030...teele0815p2.asp
