  1. You'd think the poor girl would dislocate her pelvis doing that.
  2. I had one of my rare colds. I had about two or three days that I felt pretty rotten. My nose has been stuffier than usual since then (the last couple weeks), but my Flonase prescription ran out. that could have a lot to do with it.
  3. If TD low balls everyone, why did the Bills have almost no money under the cap until they released Prioleau? Anderson sounds like the kind of guy McNally likes to coach.
  4. I was advocating for Marc us Johnson earlier, but looking at combine results I have to wonder if he could play left tackle. He's SLOW! There are several others that I think will be around in the third round and little that will be a good value in round two. In any case, that pick will probably be a starter in 2006 rather than 2005.
  5. I think that if they are going to have replay they should change it by giving each head coach one challenge per half. If their one challenge is upheld, they get one more. If the second is upheld, they get a third and so on. As soon as the coach misses and his challenge is not upheld, that is his last. I also would permit coach's challenges in the final two minutes, though I wouldn't necessarily eliminate official challenges during the same period.
  6. If I had a nickle for every dude calling me at work with an Indian accent, trying to get me to agree to a trial on a company website. . . As soon as I hear the word "company" they get dismissed, if not before. Anyone that doesn't know the difference between a company and a church doesn't have anything to offer me.
  7. If some of the porn was dated after the alleged incidents for which Jackson is being tied, it only proves he hasn't changed. If I'm a juror, I'm not going to be thinking, "Oh he only just started this recently."
  8. If as TD claims Campbell and Euhus are on track to be healthy for training camp, the Bills are not at all thin at TE. They may nto have the dominating player you think they ought to have, but they have some quality and depth. On the other hand, they have no proven starter at OT, not much left out there in free agency, and no realistic prospects of picking up an immediate starter in the draft. They have to pin their hopes at left tackle on numbers, and the assumption that with McNally's coaching someone will step up and grab the LT spot by the horns. It makes perfect sense to keep Peters at OT.
  9. I don't believe Teague was cut by the Broncos. I think his contract expired rendering him a free agent. There was some conversation to the effect that Denver did not try awfully hard to re-sign him, but I think they did at least make him an offer.
  10. I've seen something like that before. I grew up in small town westeern NY and we called them "haystacks." The Lebanese girl is quite lovely, but I don't think the Lebanese man behind her really got anything close to the same view. Perhaps he was using his imagination.
  11. Two or three years ago a pastor in our conference of the United Methodist Church was found to have had a relationship with an underage girl in the church he was pastoring. He was removed from the pastorate, forced to give up his credentials and ended up in prison. I can't say we're perfect, but we don't mess around with some things at least. Obviously I have chosen to be involved with "organized religion." I know there are bad apples in organized religion, but despite those bad apples, I believe the reasons for being involved in organized Christianity outweigh the reasons for avoiding it. There are bad apples in government too, but if you tried to have a country without a government, you would not be very successful.
  12. That's great. How does it feel to be working for the second richest man in the world (Warren Buffett whose holding company owns Geico outright)?
  13. Let's not be so hard on Hillary. I'm sure she merely wants to give some young struggling lawyer a chance to earn some money. And if you believe that one. . .
  14. Cool, I love meteorology. 'Course I've never had to deal with the kind of technical stuff you would, computer modeling and all that stuff. I like it when TV forcasters go into explanations of why the weather is the way it is; the North Atlantic ocilation etc. Any idea when the current pattern that has been keeping the northeast US under much below normal temps for the last month might break?
  15. If I could trade for a starting caliber LT(Shelton), I would. I would leave the right side of the line as is. I have no problem with either Tucker or Gandy at LG and either Teague or Tucker at center. If the Bills don't get Shelton, I'm tempted to move MW to LT and try Jason Peters at RT. If he's not ready, I'd probably go with Teague at LT and Tucker at center. If Sobieski is still with the team and can stay healthy, he is also an option on the interior of the line
  16. I thought he was a restricted free agent, and was not tendered. I've also noticed the absence of Sobieski. I don't know the explanation for that.
  17. I don't get wound up over it, but there was a perception during the whole Flutie Johnson debacle that when Flutie was not starting he was doing nothing to try and support/mentor Rob Johnson, that in essence he said to those who would listen that he should be starting. That's all there is to it. I don't know how much was perceived on top of that, and I certainly can't verify that it was true.
  18. I'm disappointed but not panicked. We'll see. BTW Why isn't Sobieski listed anywhere on the Bills roster? I can't imagine that he'd be left off because he was injured. Mark Campbell and Tim Euhus are listed on the roster.
  19. Well, I figure the onus is on Travis' agent to get a trade done. If it doesn't happen Henry will be the Bills backup next season. That's not necessarily a bad thing as long as the Bills make it perfectly clear at that point it's his own fault a trade didn't get done, and that if he isn't a good boy they will fine him every time he deliberately screws up. If his contract runs out and he signs with someone else in 2006, Buffalo may at least get some compensation in the 2007 draft depending on what Buffalo does in free agency next year.
  20. Kevin Thompson is a possibility. He's 27 years old and will hopefull have some playing time in NFL Europe. Than may make him a little bit more prepared to come in in an emergency. If it comes down to your third QB playing for more than one game you can pretty much figure your season is screwed.
  21. I turn 53 in a few days, and I'm right with ya. My daughters are 20 and 19. My parents were 37 and 19 when they got married though. They were married for 40 years, untill my dad died of emphysema.
  22. I would say she must be a high school teacher. LOL
  23. I've been in both Herkimer and Maggie Valley. When you're old like me you've had more time to visit lots of places. Salamanca, NY/52/Mayville, NY with an inclination to retire to Bristol, Tennessee.
  24. I beat you by one year, making me the oldest Fredonia grad on this board so far. Class of '74. I actually took 3 courses in one session of the summer of 74 to finish up.
  25. Erie deficit growing. Oops too late for that one
