How about Bills Gray's "greatest cheeseburger in the world."
-
I've never been there, but I was close this spring (Roanoke). The climate is a little warmer over all than Buffalo. Summers are similar. January daytime highs average 10 degrees warmer. However, since it is not near a major body of water, as is Buffalo, it's liable to have greater extremes. Record lows are about where record lows are in the interior sections of WNY. Spring comes a little earlier (2-4 weeks) and fall a little later. It doesn't get nearly as much snow, a couple feet total in the winter season.

My reaction exactly. There was no talk in the article about this drug possibly have applications in other types of cancer.

I had never even heard of them when as an elementatery aged kid I was at a church camp and found one under my mattress. . . used.

Tennessee wants Henry for a fifth round pick. For that price Buffalo is better off waiting for something to happen to another team's starter in training camp. They would be losing very little if a deal can't get done later, and there is a chance the price for Henry could go up to a more reasonable third round pick. -
The most amazing thing ever in sports
TigerJ replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me, the most astounding single event was the Bob Beamon long jump because he broke the existing world record by such a long distance. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I think it was in the neighborhood of 2 feet. My sentimental favorite, however, is the no punt football game between the Bills and the 49ers back when they were both great offensive teams. -
In my experience, cats are not going to kill many animals in the house. When we've had mice, we've always needed to use traps or poison. They have always caught animals outside though, mostly moles. The more moles Molly kills the better. Our 1 year old miniature poodle, miniature dachshund, chihuahua mix has also caught and killed moles, a rabbit, and a bird while tied up. He amazes me with his quickness.

We currently have once 6 year old cat, a 16 year old dog and a 1 year old dog. We had another cat and dog before we had any of the present animals. Our first cat was much more affectionate than our present one. He was aptly named Snuggles. Unfortunately, as a male cat he developed a chronic urinary tract problem. We had to have him put to sleep. Molly is the more typical, aloof, "I'll let you give me a little affection from time to time, but only on my terms" kind of cat. She is allowed out and used to be out a lot more. Overall, I think dogs tend to interact with people alot more easily, but there are vast differences between individuals among both cats and dogs. BTW, I'm mildly allergic to both, but I get by OK with my daily shot of Flonase.

A villain named "tiger"? Impossible. We're all good guys. I like Jaws of James Bond fame.

All of them. BTW, it's got nothing to do with my religious convictions. I tried to develop a taste for beer in college, but never could stand the stuff. I feel the same way about coffee and I have no religious convictions about coffee. They both taste absolutely terrible to me. I can handle tea, though it's not my first choice of something to drink. I don't drink any alcoholic beverage any more, but I don't mind the taste of some kinds of wine.

I agree, on Payne over Rheem. Rheem had better accuracy numbers his senior year, but Payne has the stronger leg, andhis accuracy may have suffered somewhat because he was doing two jobs. Pochman may be in the mix, but so far I haven't heard anything about his injury at the start of the NFL Europe season. How bad was he hurt?

More evidence we're beating the bushes
TigerJ replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting. He would be one of the biggest kickers in the NFL, bigger than Lindell, taller than Janikowski (Janikowski is fat). Payne has iceal linebacker size and has a 40 yard time in the range of a linebacker too. No, I'm not suggesting he double like Paul McGuire did as a punter/linebacker, but on kickoffs he could be a real force on coverage. He wouldn't need to be afraid like a 5'8" 160 lb shrimp. I guess he hasn't shown a huge leg on kickoffs, but he wouldn't be any worse than Lindell, and maybe with some work on technique he can get a little more leverage. I like it. -
Greenpeace convicted of Enviromental
TigerJ replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not a big fan of Greenpeace, but I don't regard this as such a big deal. Yes, they were stupid, and yes, in this day and age they should have known better, but they did not have the intention of harming the enviroment, nor in fact did they. -
Dennis beat me to it. Gladd to have you here.

That's quite a stretch. Neufel, Traffod and Cieslak (the rookie UDFA) are better options at this point, with Mike Gomez in reserve. I think Euhus and Campbell will probably be OK. -

Any bigger and they'd need a truck scale. Three hundred pounds lighter and she might be cute. -
Not a chance.

He is listed at 240 on the Bills website. Whether 235 or 240, I agree it's too light by a good 20-25 lbs or more. I didn't know what his blocking is like. I think he's got some skills and some upside, but I guess he's not enough of a finished product to be able to help the Bills this year.

Hopefully you're not quite as out of touch with reality as the guy who wants to induct Doug Flutie into the Footbal HOF.

what uniform should flutie wear in hall of fame?
TigerJ replied to xpendersx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And yet you can find a comparison between Flutie and Kelly? You said if Kelly made the HOF then Flutie deserves to be considered. You opened this can of worms, now it's up to you to come up with something specific to demonstrate Flutie's merits for the HOF. Face it you have nothing except your irrational attachment to him. That it was an adventure to watch him play doesn't cut it for the HOF. -
what uniform should flutie wear in hall of fame?
TigerJ replied to xpendersx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK. I'll bite. Doug Flutie started 66 games and played in 87. Jim Kelly started 160 games. Doug Flutie had a career pass completion percentage of 54.7%. Kelly - 60.1%. Flutie - 14,686 yards passing. Kelly - 35,467. Flutie has a career passer rating of 76.4, Kelly - 84.4. Flutie does beat Kelly in rushing yardage 1635 to 1049. Kelly led the Bills to 4 Super Bowl appearances and additional playoff appearances. I'm not sure where to find all those kinds of stats so I don't know how many times, if at all Flutie led his team to the playoffs. I'm pretty sure he never led a team to the Super Bowl. Now, tell me where there is any logic to your statement that since Kelly was inducted into the HOF, Flutie deserves consideration. Where is there a comparison between the two? I think it boils down to the fact that you like Flutie. You confuse the fan excitement he generated when he ran around like a headless chicken while eluding defensive players with leadership and productivity. -

You don't mean to tell me you believe this topic actually merits a serious response!? -
