  1. I've got it but we don't have/don't allow beer.
  2. Hmm. Seven pages on a Sabres Free Agency thread. It appears there is a lot more activity here than in the Sabres' front office.
  3. I'll buy that you are expressing a sincere opinion and you're not an enemy troll in disguise, but your's is clearly the minority opinion among people who have been to camp. I'm not going to let it bother me. We all know JP is going to take his lumps this season and there is potential difficulty at left tackle, but not much else of what you say seems credible.
  4. Pennington probably couldn't put the ball 60 yards downfield before his shoulder injury either, and there's no way Fiedler can. BTW, I have a bum shoulder and probably couldn't throw the ball 10 yards downfield.
  5. Well, I would say that if this is for real and your friend already has kitty welts and red rimmed eyes, it's already too late for any medical advice besides "Get him to a hospital as fast as you can." When a snake bite does occur, a suctioning device, as simple as a suction cup applied to the affected area is the first thing you should do. Years ago it was recommended that you make an "X" cut across the puncture wounds. Later it was decided that the "X" wasn't necessary, doing mor harm than good because you ended up cutting across muscle tissue. Instead you were instructed to make a single cut with the grain of the muscle. It may well be that no cut is recommended now. I would expect that it would be recommended that the victim be kept still, as has been recommended already. This is to avoid increasing blood flow, which would transport the poison through the body. I would expect you also want to keep the affected limb as low as possible, again to restrict blood flow from that limb. If you have to transport the victim, I wouldn't hesitate to use a tourniquet. Ultimately, your goal is to keep the poison from reaching the heart. while you get him/her to medical help. It's possible to survive some bites without medical treatment, but I would suspect that when you were able to get the internet connection it was already too late to do any of the above beyond getting help.
  6. So, who are the three? I've been out of circulation and have not had access to Bills news until yesterday afternoon. All I saw was the news about Williams, who is day to day and Sobieski, on whom the coaching staff is not really depending anyway. This is really a last chance camp for Sobieski. If he can't lick the injury bug the Bills are not going to continue carrying him.
  7. The practice squad is not set until the final cuts are made. After the final cuts a team will hire back the players it wants for its practice squad, provided they have not been claimed off waivers by another team.
  8. Stay strong. We're praying for you.
  9. If he's going to play in the south, maybe he should change his name to Eric Azaleas
  10. I think the book on Gause was that he was inconsistent on the field and does not show much burst despite the fact that he clocks pretty well.
  11. Ritzman did not test out that fast last year. I don't know whether he was at the combine or it was just an on campus workout. He is also relatively new to the game of football. I'm not sure that even having had the benefit of a year with Buffalo that he's really the most seasoned guy in this group.
  12. Real did say he wnet to the hospital on Tuesday for tests. I do think you need to keep after the doctor. Call his office daily and let them know how you're feeling. Tell them you got bit up by mosquitos before this started and ask if you were tested for West Nile. Are you drinking liquid. If you're not, then dehydration is a strong possibility. You might try some chloroseptic throat spray and see if that deadens the pain in your throat enough to let you drink fluids. Gatorade would be ideal. Good luck.
  13. Players almost always are overly optimistic about when they will be able to resume play after an injury. I'd rather the team errs on the side of caution.
  14. At least Pittsburgh need help, and Crosby is a start. Maybe it wasn't fixed, but Buffalo gets screwed just the same. At unlucky 13 they'll be part of the crap shoot in the middle of round one and probably won't be able to get anyone who contributes for the next couple years if ever.
  15. The Bills' scouting staff seems to have a knack for finding DBs with the right stuff. I just wish they could find a few more guys with the right stuff - and a little more height.
  16. It labeled me the "Emo Kid." I have to disagree with some of the analysis. It labeled me an emotional thinker. While I recognize the value of emotions and the benefit of being emotionally expressive, I am personally the opposite. I am an extremely rational thinker. I never get emotionally out of control. I participated at my father's funeral and never hesitated, stumbled or shed a tear. I don't regard that as a superior trait, it's just me. I took the Meyer's-Briggs Type Analysis test based on the Psychological theories of Carl Jung, and got labeled as an Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Perceiving individual. Meyer's Briggs probably got it right. BTW, Meyers Briggs (and Jung) types people differently than does this test. The opposite of Intuitive, for instance in the Meyers- Briggs is Practical, whereas in this test it is Rational. In the MB the opposite of Thinking is Feeling. I assume "Rational" is a synonym for Thinking in this test developer's nomenclature. MB does not try to quantify arrogance, humility, gentility, or brutality, though in general my personality type according to MB analysts is very much an intellectual snob. That is a kind of arrogance.
  17. Maybe Humdinger can adapt and be creative with personnel that look nothing like he had in Tennessee, but on the surface it looks like a screwy move on the part of Herm Edwards.
  18. Gandy is more of a known quantity that a third in this years draft would be. Some third rounder this year might turn out to be an all pro, but another one might be a bust. Gandy is something in between. He probably still has some upside if he can lick the injury bug. If he can't he will be a career backup at best.
  19. He is a sports journalist's dream. He wears his feelings on his sleeve and doesn't keep much of anything private.
  20. At least so far Henry seems to be avoiding the need to put down his old team like a certain DT whose initials are Phat Pat.
  21. "No matches found" not that I expected any.
  22. They seem totally unaware that Everett blew out his knee.
  23. I don't think I recall ever seeing her User Name before. So no, I never PMed her.
  24. The NHL would love to have all the TV exposure they can get. The question is, who can they find that will give it to them.
  25. For me, this is not about Tom Donahoe making a brilliant maneuver to improve the team. Buffalo had a disgruntled RB who vowed not to report to camp or play for the Bills ever again. I'm sure Donahoe would have preferred to keep Henry for his insurance value since he wasn't garnering enough interest to snag a top draft pick, but credit Donahoe for seeing that was not going to happen. Donahoe's patience did not result in a coup for Buffalo. Rather it avoided Buffalo being taken advantage of by another team. A third round pick does not represent super value, but it is clearly the most value the Bills were going to get out of Henry at this point whether he was traded or not.
