  1. Same thing with the holding call on Incognito. Incognito had a textbook block and the defensive player fell over another player. The ref saw the defensive player fall and automatically called holding.
  2. Nailbiters are overrated.
  3. A month later and it seems Adam Gase still hasn't found guys for his offense that aren't garbage. Love it!
  4. The cherry on top of this game would be a suspension for Kiko Alonso.
  5. I don't have sympathy for Boldin. He signed a contract and essentially renegged on the deal. Whether he actually changed his mind twice about playing again or he lied to the Bills to get out of a deal, a deal is a deal, and there is going to be a price when you back out of it.
  6. Like Many, I have to say I'm really disappointed at what Buffalo got in return. Beane had better be right about the way he's rebuilding this team, or he's going to be facing the music in a couple years.
  7. I like this idea, though I wouldn't expect Humber to disappear from the weak side altogether. Knowing that Milano can handle the position increases the Bills' flexibility at linebacker.
  8. The Marshawn Lynch suspension is a plus for Buffalo, and the Raiders may be hurting at CB more than Buffalo. The key is going to be to try and limit the disruption factor of Khalil Mack - easier said than done.
  9. I would be inclined (if I were the Bills' GM) to draft a QB pretty high, and probably the first round. I am not inclined at this point to try and trade up since I don't see a clear consensus ranking of the top 6 or 7 QBs. Six months ago, Sam Darnold was a lock to be drafted first overall, now, not so much. I would let the draft come to me, and if the value just wasn't there when the Bills draft in the first round, I think there are some really promising guys who will be available a little later, even though I'm looking to find one in the first. As early as it is, everything is subject to change, however.
  10. I did not see it on the Bills website or on another thread here, so here is a link to the Raiders website and the injury report for both teams: http://www.raiders.com/news/article-1/Oakland-Raiders-Week-8-Injury-Report-Amerson-Misses-Practice/ef447c19-03f8-460f-b69c-1641e2d78873 If you want to see it, but don't want to go there, here is the Oakland list for their Wednesday practice cut and pasted: CB David Amerson Foot Did not part. CB Gareon Conley Shin Did not part. LB Cory James Knee Limited S Karl Joseph Groin Limited LB Marquel Lee Ankle Limited LB Nicholas Morrow Ankle Limited T Marshall Newhouse Foot Limited TE Lee Smith Knee Limited
  11. Cute, except that as a US territory, I believe the US Virgin Islands have a governor like Puerto Rico, instead of a president.
  12. Buffalo has a seventh, but not a sixth. I think they actually have two seventh round picks, but for sure they at least have one.
  13. Waived Tony McRae who was just acquired Monday. Pitts is a bit bigger a fair amount faster and spent time with Miami, though just waived by Jacksonville. He also played his college ball at a bigger school. Perhaps a bit of insight into Miami's defense
  14. This. I'm not sure anybody is running a pure WCO anymore. Andy Reid is a WCO guy and Alex Smith is making a lot of deep throws this season. McCarthy in Green Bay is from the WCO coaching tree, but when Aaron Rodgers is healthy, the Packers do a lot of stuff that is atypical for the WCO. Before the season it was stated that the Bills would try and take advantage of Taylor's mobility with rollouts, and that they would incorporate some of the run offense the Bills ran last season (though it took the Tampa game to pressure them into making good on that intention. The offense this season looks a little more like a WCO than it did last season, but that's about as close as it's going to get IMO.
  15. Buffalo has 5 receivers on the roster. Obviously Jordan Matthews is not going anywhere. I don't think Zay Jones is either. as a second round draft choice he gets a pass on his struggles catching the ball this season. There is enough college tape on the guy to suggest this is probably just a case of rookie jitters and he's going to get over it. After his game this past weekend, Deonte Thomson isn't going to be cut today or tomorrow. That leaves three possibilities. Streater essentially outplayed Andre Holmes in the preseason, and I don't think the Bills are married to the guy. Holmes has a nice catch radius, but Streater is almost as tall, and a good deal faster. Brandon Tate could be cut. He has nice size, but Streater is a bit bigger. Tate is a decent all around player and a solid return guy, but he's nothing really special. I could see Streater replacing either of them. It's also possible the Bills could decide to carry 6 receivers, though I have no idea at what position they might make a cut. Maybe offensive tackle. Croom versus Khari Lee is interesting to consider. Croom is taller and much more athletic. He was with the Bills this summer, and I don't think it is much of a stretch to think the Bills could switch out Khari Lee for Croom if Croom is fully healthy
  16. Best ranking for the Bills this week is from Eliot Harrison at NFL.com - Ninth place. The worst showing for the Bills - ESPN (of course) at 15th
  17. Oakland is better than their record right now. They are coming off a "mini-bye" and will be well rested. They will be hurt a little by Marshawn's suspension, but I think the factor that could weigh in the Bills favor is the fact that they played KC in a huge game last Thursday. Buffalo can't be regarded as a trap game for them, but beating KC took everything they had, physically and emotionally. They may still be somewhat in recovery mode. I expect another tough game, and I'll look for any edge I can.
  18. I imagine that every single Bills fan watching at home was ready to throw a brick at their TV. A little less time on the clock and I might have turned my TV off after Tampa's touchdown at the end of the game. Fortunately, I didn't have a brick and decided to watch just a little longer.
  19. There were some knocks on Thomson coming out of college. I think his hands were said not to be the greatest. He's worked hard to improve areas of his game where he was not up to par, and he's always had the speed and is tough and willing blocker downfield. This may just be his big chance.
  20. Yes. Tre White was in good position. Winston put the ball where only Mike Evans could catch it. It doesn't help matters that White isn't 6'2" but that might not have made a difference on that play.
  21. Undrafted free agent in 2016. He's a bit undersized and averaged 40 time for a CB. He was on the Baltimore Ravens roster this season before he was released. Played mostly special teams. If he's forced to play a lot of defense in the near term, the Bills are going to be struggling.
  22. Middle linebacker is one area where Buffalo will be looking to upgrade, but even with 6 draft picks in the first 3 rounds, I'm not sure they get everything they want. I imagine at some point in the draft the Bills will pick up some middle linebacker with more athleticism than Brown to help with pass coverage, but if it is a little bit later, or even early, the Bills may keep and even start Preston for a while because he is smart and won't make a ton of mistakes.
  23. Win and the other stuff will take care of itself.
  24. Thompson sure made Beane look smart.
  25. Happy for the win. Frustrated with the points left on the field and how easily Jameis Winston could move the Buccaneers offense at times. Did Ta,pa even have to punt today. Need to clean some stuff up before the Oakland game.
