in the draft: Josh Allen at #12, DaRon Payne at #22, DJ Chark at #53, Tyrell Crosby at #56, Jerome Baker at #65, and Duke Dawson at #96. Not my mock. This comes from the San Diego Union-Tribune. I know Josh Allen is kind of a polarizing pick. Some will think he's a steal at #12 and other son't like him at any spot. I think over all I would be very pleased if the draft fell this way. http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/sd-sp-nfl-mock-draft-2018-three-round-projections-20180322-story.html

I wonder if they gave him the middle name "Ben." "Kurt Ben Benkirt" Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

Report: Darnold is the only QB Giants would take at 2
TigerJ replied to Patriot Killa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's kind of the feel I'm getting. Nothing in the way of inside information, just reading between the lines of everything that's being said and written. Cleveland picking Darnold would be about the best thing that could happen to the Bills the way things are shaping up. I think the Cleveland pick at #4 is for sale. If the Bills want to pay the price. they can have it as they have more draft capital to spend than anyone else in the market for a QB. -
I find Jackson intriguing, and wouldn't mind him at 22, but I think he's a reach at #12. He's going to take some time to develop like a lot of prospects.

I try to go to a game every season if I can. Sunday at 1 is a hard time for me to make it. I did it once and got to my seat about 5 minutes after the game started. Actually, the best time for me to get to a game is the late afternoon - 4 PM start or a bit later. As far as games that I watch on TV, I don't much care. My only preference for TV games is that they be on CBS if they are going to conflict with Giants games. The local Fox affiliate will broadcast the Giants if the Bills and Giants are both on at the same time.

If Rosen, Darnold, and Mayfield are gone, I would jump at the chance to draft Allen, though he's not going to start a game for at least a year, or maybe longer IMO. If all four are gone, I'm planning on drafting a QB at 22 or in the second round depending on how the draft flows. At #12, I''ll be looking at players like Edmunds, Roquon Smith, Calvin Ridley, or maybe a DT like Vita Vea.

I have been a member here for years, but did most of my posting over at the BBMB when it was active. I'm also a member of another message board. I'll refrain from saying the name. The moderators probably wouldn't like that. Anyway, I never felt any hostility when I came back here and started posting again. I have a couple general rules I follow. I never get personal with anybody, and I don't get into debates. I'll put my opinion out there and if somebody wants to disagree with me, fine. My biggest pet peeve is posters who express an opinion as fact, with an accompanying implication that anybody who disagrees is an idiot.

That has been my assumption for a while now. Everything I've heard suggests they are happy at #2. There has even been a suggestion that they might be interested in TRADING UP to #1. I also don't think Cleveland has any interest in trading out of #1. I do think they'll listen to offers for #4, however. Don't expect it to be cheap as there may be other bidders in that auction.

3-24: Benjamin Allbright on WGR

Thinks both the Browns and Giants really like Sam Darnold. Thinks that if the Browns draft Darnold, the Giants will likely stay put at #2 and draft other than a QB (Barkley/Chubb/Nelson). Arizona is in love with Josh Allen and if the Jets don't draft him at #3, they will try to trade into the 4th spot, but Buffalo has more draft capital to spend if they want to outbid Arizona. Does not think that trade would take place before draft day. Thinks the Bills like Mason Rudolph as a consolation prise in the QB draft derby and might trade into the top of the second round or the bottom of the first to draft him if they don't get a top 4 QB. At least that's what I heard in the interview. -
So Patriot Killa, don't you think it would be wonderful if the Jets were to draft an elite guard prospect like Quentin Nelson with that third overall pick? It's good to build from the line out, don't you think?
-
That may well be the case. The Jets were desperate and by traditional valuations significant overpaid to move up to #3. Some would call it bold. Some would call it foolhardy. In any case, Beane has a strict eye on value. I don't see him getting into a bidding war to trade for a premium draft pick. The other possibility is that McBeane think there is a QB that they can get later on who is not so inferior to the top ones that they can't win with him.

I don't care.

Our loss is our Gaines? EJ didn't have great measurables, but could play a zone CB position pretty well. This Gaines has much better measurables and was more highly regarded coming out of college, not to mention the fact he's younger. If he can play, it's all good.

The East coast of Costa Rica is ON the Carribean.

If he comes cheap, give him a shot. Nothing ventured, nothing Gained.

My Latest Mock Draft with Bills Picks
TigerJ replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be OK with that. I might have tried to get a more athletic ILB than Jewel in the second round, but it's still a good draft. -
Report: Bills Release DE Ryan Davis
TigerJ replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Conversely trading Shaq would worsen the cap situation. -
If it takes Miami out of the rookie QB hunt, it's all good.

Do it Dolphins!

Yeah, the consensus is it would be a considerable reach. Still a reach at 22, but not so much. I know some guys have him rated like a fourth rounder. I don't quite get that.
