  1. I guess I'll be looking for the replay.
  2. So if you're in the Buffalo area you get it on local TV. If you're far from Buffalo you get it on the NFL Network, but if you're outside of the Buffalo local broadcast area but reasonably close to Buffalo, you're screwed.
  3. See my post above. Tried it - doesn't work.
  4. WETM is my local station. They are carrying the Giants game. I went to the Bills website and clicked on the link for streaming the game, and that took me to NFL.com and an alleged streaming of the game, but all I'm getting is a blank screen.
  5. So I turned on the NFL Network at 7:30 and their showing a freaking old program about Lynn Swann and John Stallworth. What the heck is going on? My best guess is that since a local station is showing the Giants game the NFL network is trying to force me to watch that. Not going to happen. Where can I stream the Bills game?
  6. Just playing the odds, at this point I think McCarron gives the Bills the best chance to win. It's not that I don't like Peterson or Allen. McCarron has beenn steady and reliable when he has started regular season games in the past. There is always a chance that if Baltimore brings the heat that first game of the season, Peterman will revert to Chargers Peterman, the king of interceptions. I wouldn't expect that to happen, but I can't rule it out. Allen is a rookie, and it is very normal to think he'll do some rookie things if he starts. Rookie things don't generally lead to winning. So, I answered McCarron should start. I answered that I would want to see Peterman start. I'd love to see him get an opportunity for redemption. I'm not anti McCarron, but being a former Bengal, I don't have as much of an emotional stake in his success. I don't feel strongly about Allen starting because I know it's going to happen eventually. It doesn't need to happen out of the starting gate.
  7. I agree with Shaw. You are right in that his roster spot is not in jeopardy, but even though he doesn't tak in such terms, he's doing whatever he can to start sooner rather than later. He' will not be very happy with himself if he does poorly, soI'm pretty sure he feels pressure in that sense.
  8. This is pretty much my opinion. He certainly has potential, but there are things he needs to do more consistently to beat out some other guys to make the roster.
  9. I haven't had the impression that Gaines or Johnson were playing poorly. Leonard Johnson is a player with a limited skill set. Therefore he is eminently replaceable.
  10. On the second long Allen pass in the Carolina game, he slowed down and looked back while the ball was in the air, as if he were giving up on the play. Had he not done that, he would have been in position to catch it.
  11. I am among those who think Jalen Ramsey is a punk, and I would love to see him get put in his place, but I also agree that you're trying to compare apples to oranges. It is almost always in bad taste to burn your bridges after you crossed them. I would never publicly say bad things about a former workplace just because I had an unpleasant experience there. It would be another issue entirely if there were unfair labor practices, if for example Carolina had violated the CBA. To me it just shows class if you can be graceful in dealing with your past employer and work associates, unless there are ongoing abuses that need to be addressed for the protection of future employees.
  12. It may interest some that new Bill Albert Havilli is thought to also have potential at fullback. NFL Draft Scout lists his primary position as fullback and only secondarily as DE/DL.
  13. Did he tell them they were capable of winning the Super Bowl?
  14. He's a great CB, but he's a punk. Between Tre White and Jalen Ramsey, I'm glad White is a Bill even if Ramsey is the better QB right now.
  15. I don't know that Josh Allen was the QB I hoped the Bills would draft. I liked Darnold and Mayfield. I think Rosen had a chance to be successful. I even immagined how Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph could be successful for the Bills. I was not unhappy when the Bills drafted Allen, though I thought it might be a full year or more before he was ready to start. The biggest change for me is that I now believe ye might be successful as a starter almost from day one if the Bills go in that direction. He has three more preseason games, and he has made astounding progress on his learning curve. I don't know that the Bills feel the need to start him day one, and I won't complain if they don't, but there's no reason IMO that they couldn't.
  16. Preston is a smart, hard working linebacker with some physical limitations. I can imagine there may be a few times when the Bills will mis his experience. However, onece he gets aclimated to the NFL, Tremaine Edmunds has a good chance to become a far more complete linebacker. He's smart, a student of the game, hard working and has unbelievable physical talent that Preston Brown can only dream about having.
  17. And maybe they can use the dumbster fire to toast marshmallows.
  18. Yeah, I think the Bills are gonna be OK at guard.
  19. That's a pretty solid take, except I don't think a trade of Peterman is necessarily in the cards, at least not immediately. If there is an opportunity to trade a QB, it's probably for a draft pick. I don't think the draft pick would be high enough that it would make the Bills want to forfeit the insurance they would have by carrying three QBs who all know the system and can play. Injuries are just too frequent in the NFL.
  20. I can't do it period- on two different computers. Before Radio.com I could.
  21. Naw, a couple hours away - Bath, NY. Amazon carries them. I might try that.
  22. Yeah! It's obvious a lot of fans have prejudged him because he's been a WR coach throughout his pro career. But judging from what Buffalo's three QBs have been doing in training camp and the first preseason game, he must be doing something right. I was looking for a hat like that to use while mowing my lawn - all 2.5 acres.
  23. The analysis of this Allen led drive is a real good example of why the Wonderlic results matter for a QB. Allen came out of a school that is not a football power, he's a rookie, and yet he's doing things like looking off receivers and usng pump fakes to hold DBs, stuff that usually comes with experience. I'm sure he's been coached to do those thngs, but how often do you see young QBs staring down their intended receivers? Allen is taking the coaching and applying what he learns far more quickly than is typical. That suggests he may be ready to start sooner rather than later.
