  1. I don't excuse dirty play from anybody, so Dion,. shame on you. Oh, Jordan Jenkins, were you among the multiple Jets who were cheap shotting the Bills the whole game? You can can dish it out, but you can't take it?
  2. Really? I wonder what the current administration has against AW. Did he want to do it this year, and their schedule was already full?
  3. I disagree on a couple of points. First, if the Bills were to win out, they would draft in the 10-13 range. Second, New England somehow manages to ge a division leader every year despite drafting in th 26-32 slot. Buffalo was mired in mediocrity not because they drafted in the middle of the round. There were two reasons they were mediocre for so long. One - they drafted lousy for years. Hi round draft picks would stick for a couple years, then wash out or get traded because they didn't fit what Buffalo was doing. Second, there has been a total lack of continuity. New coaching staffs, new offensive and defensive schemes, and new GMs every few years, and the resulting high turnover in personnel does not allow for the development of a winning program.
  4. I don't expect Buffalo will be drafting in the top 3, but I do think they will be in the 4-6 range. They will lose to New England, and without run blocking, they will find it hard to beat Detroit or Miami. They could easily lose 2 games, and might lose all three. They will be without Matt Milano, and will be playing a 3rd or 4th string CB across from Tre White on defense.
  5. I think it's obvious they were cheap shotting the Bills all the way through the game. I do think in a game like that, Buffalo needs to become more physical. Personally, I don't think Josh Allen is THAT cocky.
  6. I think they will win one game. 5-11 will get them a very high draft pick - possibly top 5.
  7. Before I could get to a TV, I tuned in to a broadcast of the game that featured a broadcast team for the Jets. They were probably more complete homers for the Jets than Murphy is for Buffalo. I get that Murphy/Tasker/Brown are all homers, but it does not bother me. National media types may not be homers, but they are often ignorant of a lot of the things that are going on in Buffalo, things of which Murphy and company are fully aware. That certainly makes them more sympathetic toward Buffalo's cause, because they don't have knowledge of the behind the scenes efforts and struggles of the teams against which Buffalo is playing.
  8. I agree with that. It's like the kettle calling the pot black.
  9. With three games left, "season ending" would not be any kind of a shock. Hopefully, whatever medical treatment is required will happen quickly , and he can come back as good as new in training camp. Comparisons with Alex Smith don't hold water IMO. Alex Smith developed an infection post injury. that is the complicating factor that has the potential to end his career. There's no reason to think the same thing is likely to happen to Milano.
  10. Special Teams were bad today. Obviously they allowed a kickoff return that hurt the Bills. I wondered why Hauschka was kicking off the way he was. I know when it's cold the ball is stiffer and harder and doesn't travel as well, but we conditions that hard that he couldn't put it in the end zone?
  11. Robertson and Robinson sound a little bit alike, and my memory was faulty. I'm old after all. As it happens, Pennington was born in Isaiah Robertson's 27th year, but your point is well taken. They played in different eras.
  12. I don't know about setting fires, but I went to a Monday night game against the Jets at the Ralph in the early 80s that otherwise fits that description very well. I think everybody who went to that game came out smelling like beer at the end with all the cups flying through the air. The Bills were awful in that game by the way.
  13. Beane has decided that speed is good and Cam runs like a defensive lineman. Scott and Phillips are about the same size and Scott's 40 time is about .3 faster. That's a lot.
  14. I'm happy with Barkley as my backup QB. If he's willing to re-sign, I'd do it. I want the Bills to obtain a little insurance at CB and strong outside linebacker, and maybe get a couple more defensive linemen. We can focus on offense other than that. I expect there will be some quality free agent offensive linemen available in addition to those cited by the OP, and Buffalo is in a good position to be competitive. Money wise, theyll have a lot of cap room, and I think they can sell Josh Allen as an up and comer who is going to be a winner in the league for a long time. Draft BPA with need being your tiebreaker for players who are similarly rated.
  15. I think the snow is pretty much a non-issue. They had some snow earlier in the week, but I think by now the roads are all cleared and tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, though not terribly warm (in the 30s). I can't really help with the traffic. When I have gone, I usually approached the stadium via 20a from the east because that's the direction that made the most sense for me. A lot of homes along 20a offer parking in their yards for a modest discount off official parking lot prices. As you get closer to the stadium, the discount shrinks. It's a pretty good walk from 20a to the stadium itself for a young kid without even taking a walk along 20a into account. So, it's a matter of balancing price to the amount of walking you want to do. I suspect that traffic might be lighter on 20a than it is on the north side of the stadium, but I'm not positive.
  16. I think I would pass on AJ Green at this point. At 31 years old, you have to look at him as a bandaid. Signing Tyrell Williams is intriguing though. I don't mind most of the suggested moves, but there are a couple places on defense that need shoring up. Lorax may or may not be here next season, but Buffalo needs to start thinkiing about the future at strong side linebacker. They need to do the same at Edge rusher and DT. Levi Wallace may turn out to be the answer at CB across from Tre White, but at this point, I think a little more insurance is called for.
  17. Ah. I apologize to the legacy for Isaiah Robertson for the mistake. That was one embarrassing moment for Robinson.
  18. Noah Fant that high in round one just isn't happening. Greg Little probably won't be available in round 2. Parris Campbell is not lasting until round 6. I would draft a DT, OLB and CB somewhere in this draft, just not in the top couple rounds. Of course, all that is my opinion.
  19. This. There is no reason to think Barkley can't duplicate his earlier success, but these next four games continue Josh Allen's crash course in how to be an NFL QB.
  20. If memory serves, he was once juked by Chad "freaking" Pennington, who proceeded to run into the endzone for the score. He had a nice career though.
  21. It's likely that one, maybe two offensive tackles will go in the first half of round one. There might be a QB going in the top ten based on team desperation (it won't be Buffalo's pick, of course), and possibly one WR. I don't like the WRs that high, but I won't rule out an offensive tackle for Buffalo. Otherwise, you're right. The tophalf of Round one is going to be heavily defensive.
  22. I like the idea of drafting Bryce Love, but not with my first pick n the draft. I think he slips based on his injury and reduced production this year. I might consider him in round 2. Round one almost has to be an offensive tackle or the best defensive player available, not because I think defense is the greatest need. That, unfortunately, is where the greatest value is likely to lie.
  23. Wes Hills from Slippery Rock
  24. If it were up to the Jets, I would expect that to be their thinking. Whether or not Darron Lee thinks that way is another iissue.
