He's OK, but he doesn't read things as well as Milano, so he's something of a downgrade when Milano is out. Of course that's what's going to happen for a couple weeks at least, if not more. Athletically, he's far superior to Klein.

Glad he's doing well. I don't know what he would have done had he stayed, but I don't worry too much about it.

I think Darnold has gotten a raw deal by playing in New York, given the turnover in coaching and the changing of offensive schemes. It is impossible to accurately predict what his career path might have been if he'd been handled properly by the coaches in New York, but it's fairly certain Josh Allen's career would be on a very different trajectory if he'd been handled the same way as Darnold.

I'm glad Zay is seeing the field for the Raiders, but not unhappy the Bills have moved on from him. Gabriel Davis is better.

I like McDermott's chances for coach of the year, but certainly there will be competition. There are a few teams, for instance that have lost a ton of starters to injury, yet are still winning games. Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco is an example.

When Allen came out of college, we knew a lot about him. We knew he had a cannon arm and terrific athleticism. We knew he was raw, and we knew he was very smart. Sometimes intelligence does not translate to football intelligence and instinct on the field. The football intelligence/instinct was one of two things we didn't know, the other thing was Allen's drive to improve. Turns out Allen has incredible drive. He also has pretty good football intelligence/instinct. That is on display as he reads defenses and misleads them with his eyes. He still has some lapses, (the awful sack he took late in the game) but part of that is he just wants to make the play happen somehow on every snap. Now, sometimes he will throw the ball away, but he still gives in occasionally that temptation to save a play gone bad. I love the development, though, and I think the hero ball plays will decrease over time.

Starters from that list include Daquan Jones, their nose tackle and Jeffery Simmons, a 3/4 defensive end, also Adam Humphries, a slot receiver, and of course their long snapper. Missing a long snapper could turn kicking field goals and punting into an unpleasant adventure for them, and the defensive line shortages should make it fairly easy for Buffalo to move the ball on the ground and keep Josh Allen well protected. It doesn't look as if the Titans offense is impacted that much, but then this does not include run of the mill injuries.

The good news: if the game does happen, Tennessee may be missing a number of players due to COVID-19. If they include may key players, Tennessee could be significantly undermanned. That bad news: If they have their key starters on offense, Derrick Henry could be a major headache for them.

Deservedly so, and that's not saying Dodson is very good.

Besides being relatively unathletic, he was usually out of position. That's a bad combination, and the Raiders seemed to look for it and take advantage. Even though that spot (third linebacker) is really only a part time position for the Bills, it is in need of a serious upgrade next offseason.

A- is a fair grade. As the OP said, there was one bad play. Brady at his finest was capable of making a bad play.

Unless the league make other adjustments (shortens the season or adds weeks at the end, before the playoffs) the Titans would essentially forfeit.

The video clip is all about the Josh Allen - Stephon Diggs connection, but Buffalo has other people catching the ball at a high rate. I don't what to undervalue what Diggs has brought to the team. He does get open. He does make 50/50 catches. He does help other receivers get open by the attention he draws from DBs. He does give Brian Daboll another offensive piece with which he can be creative. But even without that, Josh Allen has taken a significant step forward in his ability to anticipate, his deep accuracy and his ability to read the defense and make the decisions needed to give the play it's best chance for success. The addition of Diggs simply compounds and leverages the improvements Josh has made.

I assume so. Not sure what all the league protocols are, but if it were not going to end up as an isolated case, a couple days gives the chance for additional cases to pop up. Should that happen, they'll have to do something else in the way of rescheduling.

I'll take the contrarian position on this. It's nothing against Damon Harrison. The position of the players is that the roles of the defensive linemen are more complex than we, the fans realize (my words, not Harrison Phillips - the interview I heard), The Bills have brought in a bunch of new linemen (Mario Addison, Quinton Jefferson, Vernon Butler, and AJ Epenesa). Without the benefit of OTAs, and mini-camp, and with the training camp being abbreviated and lacking the benefit of preseason games, players are not as familiar and comfortable with their assignments and coordinating with other players as they might have been going into the season under more normal circumstances. The struggles of the line are less related to talent than they are being sharp with assignments. Signing another new player who has to learn the system will likely not help.

I still remember Gase deciding after a couple miserable years at Miami that he was going to institute a culture change within the Dolphins organization. When the core of the apple is rotten, and Gase is the core, you're not going to fix the rest of the apple.

The alternative would be to extend the season. If the league experiences multiple teams with COVID cases, I could see the league doing that. I'm not sure they would for one team. Pro Football Talk is not using the "F" word yet but did state that the Bills Titans game could be in jeopardy. They report that Judy Battista of the NFL Media stated "the league is 'going to want to see a period where we’re convinced there’s no transmission' before the Titans go back to week (work?)."

Presumably Newton got it from a source outside the team environment. He could have spread it to others, but it has not shown up yet, but he may not have too. Stay tuned.

I suspect if the Titans continue to have new players test positive going into the middle of next week, the league would be forced to cancel the game and award Buffalo a forfeit win.

As I understand it, teams can protect four practice squad players each week regardless of experiencing COVID-19 among team personnel. The four are to be named prior to the game. Having to call up more practice squad players than that because of COVID would not change the numbers. However, I suspect that NFL GMs probably would not be out to gut another team's PS. I think they might refrain from legally poaching another team's PS when that team is dealing with COVID.

The only "benefit" they're getting from the schedule readjustment is rest for their injured players. They haven't been able to do any of the usual things teams on their bye get to do, namely practice fundamentals and address issues they've had in the season thus far. On the other side of it, the players that have already come down with COVID-19 are definitely out for the Bills game, as any additional players who come down with it between now and a week from Sunday. There will probably be at least a player or two missing the Buffalo game with more typical injury issues. Looking at it from the Titans' perspective, I think I'd rather be facing the Bills without the COVID-19 issues and unexpected bye than with them.

Pat Mahomes as a possibility for the Bills' QB is a water under the bridge issue as far as I'm concerned. I'm happy with both Tre White and Josh Allen. That is enough for me.
