Touchdown Jesus' Amazing Background

Now Jake, we don't need you to put out a contract on any opposing players -
Kick the tires on WR Marvin Hall?
TigerJ replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has speed but has not been a great player. He drops balls and despite his speed has not especially been a deep receiver. It would take his some time to come in and learn the system and it is late in the year already. If he's available for a futures contract after the season, it might be worth signing him to a futures contract, but he's not going to help the Bills this season. -
7-11 available, Jets release Chris Hogan

Nah, it's time for him to be looking into his second career, working in convenience stores. -
Week 13: Bills at 49ers on MNF (in Arizona)
TigerJ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I think about it, it seems possible Buffalo could run a little more defense with three linebackers rather than nickel. Mullens finds it tough to complete a pass over 20 yards. Kittle's absence means covering the tight end is a reasonable task for a linebacker. On the other hand, Mostert is a speed back, but isn't all that physical as a runner. DBs may not be at a great disadvantage tackling him and being involved in run defense. The 49ers do make a lot of use of a fullback, and that might be a reason to lean toward using 3 LBs more. -
Josh Allen the most blitzed QB in the NFL

Yeah, schedule is going to be a factor in that, but it still seems unusual. -
Josh Allen the most blitzed QB in the NFL
TigerJ replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Between the blitzing and Allen's propensity to hold on to the ball, there is a lot of pressure on the Bills' offensive line when it comes to pass blocking. I hope he sends them all some very nice Christmas gifts. Fortunately, Allen is both very tough and mobile. What I really like about Allen is he is becoming a QB with no glaring weaknesses. He's good versus zone defense, he's good versus man defense. He evades pressure. He can run, both designed runs and scrambles. He can pas short and he can pass long. That lack of weaknesses makes it very hard for opposing defensive coordinators to scheme against him. The top 4 in blitz percentage are all QBs in the AFC East. How crazy is that? "Our opponent this week is in the AFC East. That means we'll be blitzing a lot." -
I'm guessing the article was no more specific than what the OP said in the first post.

Line Shift in SF Game: Bills now Underdogs
TigerJ replied to Casey D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, people who bet against Buffalo last week are trying to make up their losses by going against Buffalo this week? Fools and their money are easily parted. -
San Fran appears to be poor at pass protecting
TigerJ replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mullens also happens to be a noodle armed QB. He's very ineffective at passes longer than 20 yards. That means QBs who lack deep speed (Levi Wallace, Josh Norman) are not nearly the liability they can be when facing a team like say Kansas City. -
A good guy. Too bad things ended the way they did in Buffalo with fans calling for his head in his final season in Buffalo. Tyler Bass does look to be pretty awesome lately though.

AJ Klein: Tremaine Edmunds "a True Mike"
TigerJ replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apparently Edmunds' early season deficiencies were injury related. I can see why the team didn't make that very public, but it would have been nice to know. The same has been true of Milano, though I think we were generally more aware of his injury issues this season. I also was not really aware of the fact that AJ Klein is primarily an middle linebacker. Playing out of position probably accounts for a lot of his struggles. If Leslie Frazier had done a better job of adjusting for that early, I might have thought more highly of Klein from the start. What I've said still is true, I think. Milano is more athletic and faster. Klein's strengths are rooted in football intelligence and experience, rather than athleticism. Milano has both, so he can do more things from his outside linebacker spot. With everybody healthy, the defense should be that much more effective down the stretch. -
NFL TV Schedule and Maps: Week 13, 2020
TigerJ replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do the league and CBS think that those of us living in Rochester would rather watch Green Bay beat up on Philadelphia than watch the LA Chargers beat up on New England? -
What is a successful season for the 2020 Bills?
TigerJ replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watch out for the Jets on week 17. -
I'm not surprised that his play on the field has left something to be desired. He's played so little that when he does get on the field, he's rusty. The question is, how do you get him playing time without jeopardizing your team's chances of winning unless it's a blowout? We all know how often Buffalo's been involved in a blowout this season.

One of my big pet peeves are posters who can't discriminate between fact and opinion. Everybody has opinions, and opinions form the bulk of what we post. However, some persons confuse their opinions with truth, and imply that any opinions that are different reflect inferior intelligence. You're my friend if you can keep the difference between opinion and indisputable truth clear.

Steelers take a hit - Bud Dupree
TigerJ replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dupree might be better off to just plan on sitting out the 2021 season. He might be able to rehab and get on the field by the first half of the season, but he'd have to sign a contract with the team (whatever team it might be) having no guarantees about how effective he'll be or how quickly he can get on the field, Moreover it is a year when teams may be dealing with a reduced cap. If he signs a one year deal, he faces the risk of getting injured again without a long term deal. If he tries to sign a long term deal, it's going to be far less than his market value when healthy in a normal year. In 2022, he can be fully healthy when he works out for teams and his agent tries to negotiate a long term deal. -
I very much doubt he gets more than a handful of reps at WR during games, if that. The Bills seem to think Gabriel Davis meets the need for a big receiver. He's not real big, but he is big and athletic, and physically dominating.

Milano and Dodson designated to return from IR
TigerJ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have become so accustomed to being debilitated at linebacker, it may take a bit of adjustment to get back to where they are comfortable with what they can put on the field. LOL -
Milano and Dodson designated to return from IR
TigerJ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Klein is smarter and more experienced. Dodson is faster and more athletic. There are situations where smart is more important and situations where speed and athleticism are more important. The burden is on the defensive staff to figure out how best to use them. -
Bills best in league on 4th down “go for it” situations
TigerJ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cool. Presumably the Bills are making good use of analytics. One of the things Josh Allen usually does well is the QB sneak. -
So Which Players are on IR & Who is out for the Season ?
TigerJ replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The really important players on the list right now in the Bills plan for this season are Milano and Brown. Dodson and Jackson could also be in their short term plans for depth. Cam Lewis has some ability, but Jackson seems like more of a playmaker. I don't think Hodgins is in the Bills plans for this season. He doesn't really replace a player like Brown, and the Bills otherwise have a lot of depth at WR. -
Lions fire HC Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn
TigerJ replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not at this point. Let him have a gig somewhere else and see what he can do as a DC not under Belichick's thumb. -
Should we give the Bills a pass vs. LAC???
TigerJ replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How likely is it that Buffalo will again commit 3 turnovers in the space of less than 10 plays on offense? They did so yesterday and still won. To me, they never really looked like they were being threatened. Yes, there are lots of things they need to clean up, but they got the win and nobody can take it away from their record now.
