Which prospect do you NOT want the Bills to draft?
CNYfan replied to LSHMEAB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know the OP is high on Greg Little and opposed to Jonah Williams. I do not have a strong opinion on Jonah, but I tend to agree with WMD on a no to Greg Little. My thought is that his attitude is reportedly not "all in". Taking plays off, maybe a little lazy attitude at times. Now I have not seen very much of Mr. Little, but I was bothered by those reports. My past "please no" players have been Orlondo Brown, Jr. (last year with bad combine); Jonathon Martin (soft) and our own Cyrus K (looked good in shorts but got beaten like a drum in the championship game). I don't like the Mixon, T. Hill, M. Bryant type thing either. I do know we have to hit this pick, and cannot miss. -
Josh Allen advanced metrics darling?

He may be your darling, but he is our Josh. -
Will take time. The middle of the 2020 season we should see solid results.

The Significance of the Allen Misfire/Clay Drop in Week 13
CNYfan replied to Midwest1981's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we should learn to win and then keep winning -
Another fun fact is that Buffalo is most likely not named after the plains mammal but is a mangled pronunciation of the French for "beautiful river", or something like that - beau flave.

Thank you for the correction. good info.

Also ran an Old West Show with sharp shooter Annie Oakley and Indian Chiefs like Red Cloud and Sitting Bull. Was one of the most famous men on the planet during those years.
-
Wow, look at that!! I didn't now those were NFL lows.

True, but we should have a mostly new wr room and corps starting with the rookie camp after the draft. So, the hiccup in continuity should be a small issue.

OT Jonah Williams in the first
CNYfan replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gone by 9. Jets probably. The guy who scares me is Little from Miss. State. I feel J. Williams will be gone and I fret over a reach for a guy who doesn't have requisite desire, that competitive fire. Cannot miss on this pick, need a great player here. -
If Mike Mayock had run our draft last five years

Whatever happened to Nkemdiche? He was a character concern I remember then showed up at the draft with a crew of guys dressed like mobsters. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
CNYfan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think there is a long way to go in this analysis. By April, after FA has mostly shaken out, it will be down to 4/5 players. No matter the position, even if that is Greedy Williams territory, they have to hit on a great player. Cannot afford to miss at this point in the process. -
Drafted as a RT, but Cordy got hurt so they moved him in. Did pretty well last year but struggled at times this year. Low Grade LT, might be nice at RT

Shaq Lawson 5th year option on the table
CNYfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he bought in to the process and worked hard to improve. He batted down a lot of passes and set a strong edge. But best of all he took on L. Fournette and got the stadium and the team all riled up. That was great. I hope they keep him, and even consider an extension. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
CNYfan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that if there is an edge rusher that Sean loves in the area, then that is the way it will go on that late April Thursday evening when the network breaks away for a long commercial break. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
CNYfan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow! How exciting! I think the Off Season kicks off the first week of March and then the draft in late April. Time to get the running game going. -
Have to give #90 a big hurrah. I thought he was solid. Clay was a dud. May have blocked effectively but nothing in the receiver department, and an inexperienced QB needs his TE.
-
I think he was blocking.

I think that if you do not believe there will be a defensive back, or two, in there somewhere you have not been paying attention. I think we need a top FA OLine and an OLine in the top 50 of the draft (the Bills should have two choices in the top 50). I also think I agree with other posters who indicate that Sean will have his way and an edge rusher will be the first pick.

Edited title: Winds of Change for AFC East
CNYfan replied to BubbaT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the OP that the Jets got the jump on the Bills by trading up, and then landing Darnold. I do think that that will be a thorn in our side for years to come, but I like our guy as well but the Bills will have to be smart to beat the Jets with defense and a better running game. JA can push the ball down the field. Brady and Belichik will not go quietly, but there should be some decent competition in coming years. -
I think the ST Coaches fate was sealed when there occurred a "12 men on the field" penalty during punt return, giving the opposition a first down. That was the final straw for me, and that was prior to the Jets debacle. OL has to be better. The Bills identity has been as a great running team, and there is nothing this year. Stymied at the line.
