Gameday Thread Bills/Panthers 2nd Half
BillsSbSoon replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
An actual franchise qb makes that throw. It was a corner route. It was meant to be thrown to the outside, what dont some of you understand about that? If its thrown correctly its an easy td or at the very least hes able to get out of bounds. Its actually surprising they gave him that, but these teams do not respect taylor throwing the ball -

Again im fully convinced the fix is in against us especially when games are on the line. Blatant facemask on shady not called. But of course the very next play they are on top of an off pi. Unreal. The only chance we have is to get a real qb. Tyrod is what he is -

This defensive scheme is going to be frustrating though because like the jauron years they kept us in games but broke down on 3rd downs. Its meant to play with a lead and or an offense that can you know, actually move the ball -

I think i did that day too. One in particular i remember is that '07 mnf game vs dallas. I wanted that one so bad. The crowd was electric and every bills fan deserved that one that night. The way we blew it was unbelievably brutal and i lost it. -
This all day. But if the pats win so be it this week for obvious kc reasons

Why are you still watching?

I just dont think i can let go. But i have to say that my interest has been waning. Im trying to get fully back into it but im not there yet. Ive never been as not optimistic as i am this year. A lot of the roster has been gutted and the depth is terrible. I get more and more frustrated every year. And then we get screwed by refs, injury after injury and heartbreak after heartbreak. Not only that but i dont like a lot of the changed made to the game and the commercials every 30 seconds killed the pace and flow of the game. But saying all that, its the buffalo bills, and that glimmer of hope that we will get it right and find a franchise quarterback finally that keeps me going as a fan -
Doug Flutie- Lead the Charge?

I never said our defense wasnt great that year because it absolutely was. To say the bucs d also wasnt really good or that the rams werent either says youre the one who doesnt dont know much about football quite honestly. The jags also had the top ranked defense not us either -

Stats are overrated. That titans d was damn good and kearse was the freak. He killed us in that playoff game. The bucs d was legit and would go on to be even more dominant. I go by the eyeball test, and the rams were unstoppable that year. And when they were slowed down, they scored when they absolutely had to. You know, the mark of a championship team? To say they werent very good is just wrong. And their defense wasnt that bad either -

Hmm dont recall saying he had a comparable arm to those guys but nice job Absolutely. Pats knew basically every play they were running. They made adjustments after halftime and got back in the game. It should never have been that close -

Oh come on now, the rams werent very good in 99? Were some of you guys born yesterday or just have short memories. The rams were destroying teams in 99. They ran into two great defenses in the bucs and the titans but when they had to, they scored and won both games. We very well may have faced them that year if not for that joke in tennessee but to say the rams werent very good is ridiculous -

Doug Flutie- Lead the Charge?

He did. Go back and watch the second game vs the jets in 98 and watch how hard he was throwing the ball. Phil simms even makes mention of it. Or some other games from that year. He had his flaws but he had a strong arm no doubt. Dude was a winner. I think he would have been even better in this time than back then -

To the guy who said his arm was shot when he got to the bills.. Umm obviously you didnt see him play much. Go back and watch on youtube. Flutie had a cannon. I actually forgot how strong hos arm actually was. I was a teenager then. Matter of fact he actually threw it too hard a lot of the time cause he had a chip on his shoulder and wanted to show he could sling it -

Yeah he got lucky with a couple throws but when youre trying to come back from that type of defecit you have to get lucky at some point. He threw for almost 300 yards in the 4th qtr ALONE
