  1. 132 - 20 record at Alabama with 5 national championships. I think he's just a little more credible than Rosen.
  2. Excellent comments from the greatest college coach of all time. http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2017/08/nick_saban_football_isnt_any_m.html
  3. So are a lot of quarterbacks. Do I think he's an idiot? Yes. Am I outraged? No.
  4. Peterman is still with the team and TT isn't. 2015 season[edit] McCarron was named the backup quarterback to begin the season after beating out Keith Wenning and Terrelle Pryor during training camp. He played in his first preseason game on August 14, 2015, completing 11 of 15 passes for 97 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.[57] He started in the final preseason game at Indianapolis and completed 15 of 28 passes for 219 yards.[58] In Week 9, he appeared in his first career game against the Cleveland Browns.[59] On November 29, 2015, he completed his first career pass attempt for a three-yard completion against the St. Louis Rams.[60] The following week, McCarron completed 2 out of 3 passes for 19 yards against the Cleveland Browns.[61] On December 13, 2015, starting quarterback Andy Dalton fractured the thumb on his throwing hand while trying to make a tackle in the first quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although the Steelers won 33–20, McCarron came in and completed 22 of 32 passes for 280 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions.[62] The following week, McCarron became the first Alabama quarterback to win an NFL game since Jeff Rutledge of the New York Giantsin 1987, when the Bengals beat the San Francisco 49ers 24–14. In his first career start he completed 15 of 29 passes and one touchdown.[63] On December 28, 2015, McCarron completed 22 of 35 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown in a 17-20 loss to the Denver Broncos.[64] On January 9, in the AFC Wild Card round, McCarron completed 23 of 41 passes for 212 yards, with one touchdown and one interception, but the Bengals lost to the Steelers, 18–16, ending their season.[65] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJ_McCarron
  5. You can never go wrong in the long run taking the high ground. He's clearly outspoken. What gives you the impression that he is highly intelligent? His Wonderlic test indicates he has slightly above average intelligence for a NFL QB, assuming intelligence can be accurately assessed by a 50 question test.
  6. Publicly fighting with his former coach doesn't speak well to Rosen's character, which was already questionable.
  7. If Peterman had had a decent OL in front of him there wouldn't have been 5 interceptions.
  8. TT averaged 187 yrds/game in 2017. Seems like AJ is a big upgrade and he should improve. Not sure why so many don't want to give the guy a chance.
  9. Loved his comments about AJ.
  10. No idea. In 30+ yrs of professional employment I have never discussed with any of my work colleagues what they scored on the ACT/SAT. I found this interesting. None of the CEOs of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies have more than a BS/BA degree. 8 went to state universities. 3 have engineering degrees. 3 went to SEC schools. None went to elite private universities. Nary a MBA in the lot. https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/articles/2016-06-27/colleges-where-top-ceos-earned-their-degrees
  11. https://www.princetonreview.com/college/university-alabama-tuscaloosa-1023009 ACT = 23 - 32. 40% of students have ACT greater than or equal to 30. Alabama is a perennial leader in the enrollment of National Merit Scholars.
  12. Not sure where you are getting your info for Alabama. 25th percentile: 23 75th percentile: 32 Average: 27 Alabama serves a wide range of students with varying abilities.
  13. We don't know what McCarron's NFL skills are. he hasn't played enough. Jim Kelly had a 15. He worked out okay.
  14. Same as Brett Favre. I'll bet Rosen prepped more than Favre and McCarron too. Highest scores for QB's are Ryan Fitzpatrick, a Harvard grad, and Greg McEllroy, an Alabama grad. Both scored 48.
  15. The average Wonderlic score for NFL QB's is 26 and Rosen got a 29. Not seeing how this guy is such a super intellectual. Maybe he thinks he is smarter than he is and is just a huge pain in the ass. http://nflwonderlictestscores.com/wonderlic-test-scores-of-nfl-quarterbacks/
  16. Tyrod wasn't getting it done. It was time to move on.
  17. Where is your data to support that claim?
  18. "UCLA can add another record-breaker to its list of sports statistics: largest SAT score gap between athletes and non-athletes. According to a new survey of 54 public universities released by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the average athlete at UCLA scored 247 points lower on the SATs than the average non-athlete, a greater difference than at any other university surveyed." http://dailybruin.com/2009/01/06/emucla-should-not-lower-admission-standards-athlet/ Maybe UCLA has cracked down admitting low stat athletes. I haven't seen any recent data.
  19. Wrong. It's a very good academic school that attracts a lot of high achieving students. 25% have an ACT score 32 or above and 40% have an ACT score of 30 or above. Former Alabama QB Greg McElroy had a 48 on the Wonderlic. Rosen had a 29.
  20. Rosen is a little brighter than average. I don't get the notion that he's a super genius.
  21. According to Rosen, UCLA had a terrible football team because of the university's high academic standards, lol.
  22. Maybe be Evans will fall to us?
  23. Evans at 12 and McGlinchey at 22. Grab Rudolph in Rd 2.
