  1. I thought that they could give tickets away for the Chargers' game.
  2. His offensive line was horrific and he still made plays.
  3. I spoke with a friend who earned his BS/MS/PhD at Clemson. He likes Ray-Ray a lot. He's not a marquee player, but my friend he's reliable, sure-handed, and versatile. He said that he's a great kid. Humble, hard working and a team player. Good guy to have in the locker room. Bottom line: Solid player who fits the process.
  4. Ridley is a stud. He gets open and makes plays. He’s a clutch playeree and he rarely drops the ball. I’m pleased we picked up Foster. He’s a good player, he just didn’t get many touches because Alabama is loaded. I think he sticks.
  5. Look how long it took Moulds to figure it out. I'll be talking to a big Clemson fan in 30 min. I'll get his take on Ray-Ray.
  6. Too many people just parrot what the pundits say. I was just glad we didn’t draft Rosen, but now that I have studied Allen, I love the pick. His ceiling is off the charts. Edmunds too.
  7. Dion Dawkins appears to have been a good pick. I suspect Jones will pick up his game this year.
  8. WRs generally aren't stellar their first year. How long did it take Eric Moulds to develop?
  9. Kelly had a lot of head scratching throws and he had a relatively poor TD/Int ratio. He made a lot of plays though. You can put metrics around anything and draw conclusions. Whether they are the right metrics and whether they tell the whole story is an entirely different matter. Maybe AI will take over scouting one day. I suppose it's possible, but I don't think we are quite there yet.
  10. How did QBASE rate these guys? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/737668-the-opposite-of-busts-the-top-5-quarterbacks-the-nfl-didnt-see-coming Brady should be on the list too, and many others. Dave Krieg went to Milton College, and he had something like a 17 yr NFL career. If QBASE was 100% effective, why haven't teams eliminated their scouting departments and film study? It's interesting, but it's not the end all and be all.
  11. There are lies, damned lies, and statistics. I'll believe my eyes. Allen has the potential to be great. Will it be realized. We'll see. There are negatives to every player coming out of the draft and there is no guarantee of success or failure, only probabilities based on limited metrics.
  12. Thanks. I see a lot more good than bad. Kelly's TD/Int was 237/175. I recall that he made a lot of horrible throws.
  13. There were naysayers, but in general, there was cautious optimism about Manual and Losman with the recognition that both needed time to develop. The reaction was nothing like the travesty we are seeing now.
  14. Alabama was loaded at WR. Not enough balls to go around. Daboll obviously thinks highly of Foster,
  15. or count backwards from #17.
  16. Disagree completely. The folks who are unhappy that the Bills didn't draft their guy need to get over it. The constant bashing and criticism isn't going to change anything.
  17. Allen is not JP Losman and he's not EJ Manual. He's not anyone but Josh Allen. The comparisons and silly and ridiculous. Let the guy play.
  18. You are judging whether or not Allen will be successful based on the reaction to him on a fan site? Who is unhinged? The negativity to Allen is way over the top.
  19. He thinks QBASE has all the answers.
  20. Wrong on Wentz. Wrong on Prescott. https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2016/qbase-2016
  21. If analytics were so reliable and scientific, why was Brady drafted in the 6th round and why are there so many first round busts?
  22. Maybe you should find a team that you think is better at evaluating talent?
  23. Players aren’t robots. I’m sure the Bills look at analytics, among other things.
