The passing game was abysmal last year. AJ is a better passer than Tyrod. You appear to be placing a high value on Tyrod's ability to run. We have upgraded the roster generally (OL and WR is a big concern), and I think Daboll is > than Dennison. I am a little more optimistic than 6 wins with McCarron, especially if we can get some help on offense, but I haven't analyzed this year's schedule vs last year's. i think he can be a mid-tier guy. That's good enough with a strong surrounding cast.

GB even one ups us on drinking. Don't ever get into a drinking competition from someone from WI. https://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/story/news/2017/05/24/green-bay-rated-drunkest-city-america/343218001/ -

More on Daboll from a UA player: “We’re not numbers to him, we’re actual players and we’re people,” Hentges said. “That just shows why we love him so much. He knows all of us genuinely and he wants the best for us. Just things like that make it seem like he really cares about us and that’s why we love him so much.” https://alabama.rivals.com/news/brian-daboll-and-alabama-players-share-plenty-of-nicknames

I meant to say McCoy. Matt Moore speaks highly of Daboll. http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2011/12/02/good-relationship-between-miami-dolphins-oc-brian-daboll-and-qb-matt-moore-leading-to-success-on-offense/ Jason Hurts on Daboll: “He’s been nothing but a brother and a father figure to me,” Hurts said. “He’s always been there for me. I appreciate that. He’s been there for this whole offense. He’s been leading us and doing all the things you ask an offensive coordinator, he’s done. He’s all positive.” https://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/story/sports/college/rankinfile/2017/12/29/hurts-daboll-bond-strong-but-must-improve-win-titles-alabama/989545001/

"I've got a ton of respect for coach Daboll," McCoy said. "I ended up playing about half the season with him, so we did a lot of good things. … When I started playing, I learned a lot. I think that's natural in your first year, but I'll always consider myself a learner. I want to learn and I want to know the game, and I think coach Daboll really knows the game." http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2011-09-22/sports/fl-miami-dolphins-0923-20110922_1_colt-mccoy-dolphins-coach-tony-sparano-dolphins-offensive-coordinator

I think 20 years in the NFL including multiple stints with NE speaks for itself, not to mention being hired by Nick Saban and McDermott. I am not too concerned about some comment by McCowan. Perhaps McCowan has an over-sensitivity issue?

I watched every Alabama game and never saw him yell at anyone on the sideline.

Have you tracked his whereabouts during the JFK assasination?
-
I’m surprised you didn’t cite Daboll’s denominational affiliation.

Tua is impressive. He's played that way in every game he was in, including the A-Day game.

Nit pick to try find anything negative - real or perceived. Quite common here.

Former NFL QBs Chad Pennington, Jake Delhomme rave about new Alabama OC Brian Daboll https://www.seccountry.com/alabama/nfl-qbs-rave-alabama-brian-daboll Never any issues at Alabama that I'm aware of. https://www.seccountry.com/alabama/greg-mcelroy-jalen-hurts-chemistry-brian-daboll-better-lane-kiffin

Give him a QB and we'll see what he can do. He would never get in a player's ear.
-
I'm sure that Daboll is an even better coach now than he used to be after learning under the master for a year

Good. I like a coach that has high expectations for his players.

[edited title] Robert Foster, UDFA - Roster shot?
Sky Diver replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was a 5* recruit so he has talent. The main knock is his lack of production, but he was on a team that didn't have a great passing attack. He was in the shadow of Calvin Ridley. He could be a gem. Time will tell.
