The drive from Albany to Tuscaloosa is long, but scenic. The drive from Central WI was shorter, but driving through WI/IL was mind numbing. Once I hit Paducah, KY it was okay.
There was a really good band at Alexander Keith’s: Signal Hill.
I went to the Citadel, the City Garden, Peggie’s Cove, the South Shore, Grand Pre.
I ate a lot of lobster, mussels and oysters and drank a lot of craft beer.
One guy was wearing an Alabama hat. I explained the etiquette when two Alabama fans meet. He was apologetic that he had no idea what I was talking about and shook my hand, lol.
Nova Scotia is a nice place. I recall watching the Rochester Amerks play the Nova Scotia Voyageurs back in the day. They had a goon named Gilles Lupien who Amerks fans loved to hate. The Amerks had John Wensink, who was a real badass. Old time hockey in the '70s.
This is classic John Wensink. I think Oggie Oglethorpe in Slapshot was patterned after him.
Enjoyed talking hockey when I was up there. Brought back a lot of great memories of going to games with my dad.
I think Plan B if he can't find a fan base in Rochester is to go to Buffalo. There are a lot of Buffalo area kids at UA and I believe there is a group that watches the games.
Canada isn't too much further so that's a possibility.
I was in Nova Scotia last week and ran into a few folks wearing Alabama gear. My Roll Tides were returned with blank stares, lol.
Strange that the Bills couldn't find a place on the roster for Ragland as a situational player.

I have driven by this Saturn rocket on I-65 in AL plenty of times, but I've never stopped.

Apparently there is a position called a flight surgeon.

It’s a complicated history. Rocket R&D was done at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville after WWII.
The George C Marshall Space Flight Center is in the Redstone Arsenal. It was formed in 1960 and is the largest NASA center.
"Rocket surgeon" was a joke based on a previous post in this thread.
Huntsville, AL is known as "Rocket City, USA". It has among the highest concentration of engineers in the country.
