  1. I know all about power relationships. I have worked for someone for the last 35 years. I disagree that you can’t be a scholar and an athlete. Most “academic” scholarships have a financial aid component. I make enough money that my kids didn’t qualify for financial aid, but not enough that I could cut a check for $60K to $70K/yr. Hence we focused on schools that offered guaranteed merit scholarships. Sadly, there are very few left.
  2. How’s that? If it cost nothing to educate, house and feed students, a lot of kids are getting ripped off.
  3. Ragland was a 5* recruit and Johnson was hardly recruited, but you never know. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/taron-johnson?id=32462018-0002-5600-928c-90992fa18499
  4. It worked out well for Ragland. Maybe Taron Johnson will be a stud.
  5. If the scheme has him covering RBs or slot receivers, it wouldn’t work. If they have him in zone coverage, it would work. He’s not Brandon Spikes.
  6. Not sure how they good judge his talent when he wasn’t a 100%.
  7. No. He can be a 3 down player in the right scheme.
  8. KC sat him until the 5th game to give him time to recover from his knee injury. We had no patience.
  9. The Chiefs are pretty high on him. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000927855/article/chiefs-gm-brett-veach-reggie-ragland-can-be-a-star%3FnetworkId%3D4595%26site%3D.news%26zone%3Dstory%26zoneUrl%3Durl%3Dstory%26zoneKeys%3Ds1%3Dstory%26env%3D%26pageKeyValues%3Dprtnr%3Daround-the-league%3Bteam%3Dkc%3Bteam%3Dbuf%3Bconf%3Dafc%3Bdvsn%3Dacw%3Bdvsn%3Dace%3Bplyr%3Dreginald_ragland%3Bplyr%3Dpatrick_mahomes%3Bplyr%3Danthony_hitchens%26p.ct%3DAround%2Bthe%2BNFL%26p.adsm%3Dfalse%26p.tcm%3D%23fff%26p.bgc1m%3D%230964bf%26p.bgc2m%3D%23053a74%26sr%3Damp
  10. With some schools charging up to $65K -$70K/yr, free tution and room/board can be worth over a quarter million dollars.
  11. I never compared Ragland with Edmunds. That would be foolish. Just challenging that Ragland is struggling. He played very well at the end of the year as he fully healed from the knee injury. His coverage skills may be underrated too.
  12. The Chiefs signed a free agent inside LB to bolster the run defense.
  13. Not sure how much he is “struggling”. He played in 12 games and started 10. He really came on the last few games. I’m surprised the Bills couldn’t find a role for him.
  14. Great story. Thanks for posting. He’s definitely one of the good guys.
  15. He’s going to make a lot of wampum too, pale face.
  16. Do your’s jibe with mine? And I think Allen is a better prospect. Reasonable people can disagree.
  17. No flaws in Rosen’s game? Hmm. Better lucky than good? Maybe so. Or maybe just play against a bad defense? Watch the second half. There were several ill advised passes that should have been intercepted that went for big plays. https://youtu.be/ym5CEEJeUJQ
  18. Well, no. I’ve explained my concerns about Rosen’s ability many times, including in this thread. Allen’s issues get amplified while Rosen’s get muted for some reason.
  19. Why do we hear so much about Rosen’s intelligence and hardly anything about Allen’s even though Allen scored significantly higher on the Wonderelic? His intelligence is overhyped like his football talent.
  20. We don’t actually know how much time he spent developing his plan. 10 - 20 hrs was someone’s assumption. He’s such a brainiac maybe he hatched the plan while he was having breakfast eating his granola and drinking a double latte.
