The problem with the Bills is the one who calls the plays, Frazier never calls stunts or dials up innovative blitz packages. We could have Bruce and Reggie on the line and still have problems sacking the Qb but when McDermott pulls the playbook there seems to be no problem sacking the Qb. I think if McDermott had his way Frazier would be gone, I think Terry and Kim are forcing Frazier on McDermott. The big problem with the Bills line is the Defensive Tackles they just don’t have the size and the leverage to have opposing Qb’s worrying about the collapsing of the pocket and on first and second downs giving running backs the ability to get 5 to 6 yards a play or just left running freely in the secondary aka a lot of Taylor’s runs when we played the Colts.

His stretch running plays rely on the opposing Defensive Tackles being undersized so his guards can over power them at the point of attack but if the defensive tackles are big and physical his offense fails to move the ball.

When Lovie Smith, gets a head coaching job over Frazier. Is Lovie really better than Frazier? Lovie’s defense was horrible last year except when he played the Jets and Lovie’s tenure in Illinois was something you would not write the books about. I know the Kanas City game was a disaster and it would be hard to sell a fan base on that game but even I think Frazier is better then Lovie Smith.

Frazier does not run McDermott’s Defense because the staple of McDermott’s defense is he lines the linebackers over the center on third downs causing the opposing Qb’s to decide if they are coming or not, it causes mass confusion for opposing offensive lines to adjust and causes tones of sacks. I can tell when McDermott is calling the plays and Frazier is not I am surprised people don’t see this. When you see those linebackers lined up over the center on third downs is McDermott when they play off it is Frazier. You ask how I know this? just look at when both were defensive coordinators.
