Sure, but I'd rather live in Mexico than South Side Chicago. El Salvadorians have a gripe, but when they get to Mexico international law dictates that they apply for refugee status there instead of crossing through that country and walking across the boarder of the US only to be shipped inland and never heard from again. For the most part those folks are just economic migrants, not fleeing oppression. Sure all of those countries are more dangerous than America, they aren't under the thumb of an authoritarian government.

We could allow people to flee Cuba to USA, we could use the Navy to protect them on their way. We could even ferry people to the USA. Give them a way to escape. That's about all I would be willing to do. We don't need another war. No, they didn't and can't, but Venezuela could and did. But for some reason when the people were starving to death, they voted in the same regime again. Weird how that works.

They voted in Maduro. They have elections still in Venezuela. Socialism leads to Communism because they are one in the same. If Cubans could vote, they would vote out Socialism and vote in free enterprise. If you don't believe me, why is it we can bring in hundreds of thousands of people from Latin America every month, yet the Biden admin won't admit fleeing Cubans?

I love how you like to ignore the socialist and communist implications, but yeah, when you can't vote there are major issues. Or when you can vote, then once in power you change all the rules based around voting ensuring you can stay in power. Venezuela is that way for sure. Authoritarianism is terrible. Telling people what they should think and say. Blocking any dissenting points of view. These are scary things. This is why we need a free press/freedom of speech here in America because when the press is an arm of a political party the power balance can shift so quickly and then suddenly we are all under the thumb of authoritarians.
