  1. Only 13, that might happen, I think it would be an NFL mistake but that could easily happen.
  2. The Ray Rice debacle is inclusive of Ray Rice only getting 2 games, after the negative fallout from that suspension new penalties are going to be harsh.
  3. I hope he stays retired. if for nothing else but his health.
  4. There was no "time served", that was Watson playing hardball with the Texans and he got paid a big check to do nada. I think Watson gets a full season, at least. NFL reputation for letting players get lite suspensions is over starting with the Ray Rice debacle.
  5. Yep Solis is pissed and itsnt going away, she is not going to be intimidated at all. They would have not be tried together and if I were in the Watson legal camp, I would do everything I can to keep any court submissions from the other trials away from each specific case.
  6. Makes total sense, classic black market. Why payy taxes, if you get caught, is a judge going to throw you in jail or a heft parole. Unlikely esp in California. I am not going to micro manage this discussion, if you want to discuss the difference of moving from Thailand and the Phillipines and China or if Watson is innocent......do so without me.
  7. this is why you dont waste your time watching simulations.
  8. To answer your earlier specific questions 1) Trafficked, I dont know but likely not or the DA is likely incompetent. 2) Found their way past CCP, what the Chinese Communist Party? How the hell would I know or care. different cultures have totally different attitudes towards sex/paying for sex. Many people from impoverished countries come to the US to seek a life of prostitution. IS it sad from a judeo-Christian western stance, yes but it is a fact. As I said travel to the Philippines or Thailand and it might change your opinion. As for Watson versus Kraft, well now Watson is in Civil court, totally different animal. Very telling to me none of these women in the Kraft situation threatened to sue a Billionaire Kraft over what happened. And there are plenty of lawyers in Florida. That alone should explain the difference.
  9. No it is not that the game is unrecognizable, the athletes are. He can be the standard for his Era.
  10. How many times are we going to repeat the same thing over and over again. Oh yeah absolutely, I can totally see that. I have seen young kids do anything FOR DRUGS/$. I would have no idea but I believe it also comes down to specific DAs.
  11. Comparing any athlete from nearly 100 years ago to more modern athletes is, frankly a worthless meaningless activity. Any pro athlete , in almost any sport from the 1920s would get destroyed by current athletes and it wouldn't even be close. Randy Johnson would have destroyed Ruth, I bet Sandy Koufax in his prime would have as well.
  12. Do you have a reading comprehension problem or you just want to prolong this kicking a deadhorse issue. Did I ever say or intimate human trafficking doesn't exist? Read what I wrote, "they are NOT all slaves, all forced into the life. Certainly some are and that is tragic but to assume they all are is ignorant." GOT IT SHIRLEY? Mannc post is spot on. In the Kraft case the DA was pushing this sex trafficking angle to gin up public outrage but the sex trafficiking angle fell apart, long before Kraft got out with a technicality.
  13. I am not offended, i dont care what you think., it is obvious you have your mind made up. I have talked with women that formerly did work at massage parlors but you stick by what the govt tells you.
  14. You dont know which women are sex trafficked and which aren't. Simple fact. Many women at massage parlors aren't sex trafficked. I have volunteered and donated to Elijah Rising in Houston which deals with this issue. I know what am I talking about
  15. Good thing you have an open mind and assume that all massage parlor workers are "slaves". Well I got news for you pal, they are NOT all slaves, not all forced into the life. Certainly some are and that is tragic but to assume they all are is ignorant. Yes I have meet a few that used to do the massage parlor thing, got enough money and are now more "mainstream". The assertion made by you that Kraft was human trafficking is wildly presumptive if not racist, you have little basis for that except you note (constantly hmm) that they are Chinese and serviced kraft. Go to the Philippines or to Thailand , maybe you would realize that not all cultures are the same and not all prostitutes or massage parlor workers are forced into the life. Am I "forced" to work, I guess I am since I want to eat. Does that make me a slave, no.
  16. There is very little comparison to what Kraft did versus Watson. Kraft did it with a willing participant, Watson by all accounts by and large did his activity with unwilling parties. Unwilling sexual partners is the line you dont cross.............rape.
  17. Bills in position #1 and #3 currently, pretty amazing. OJ Howard gets his first taste of the Bills mafia before he takes a snap.
  18. i wrote 10-20 and I agree if he gets out 5 in years he might still have a shot at the NFL, I think post Ray Rice backlash the NFL has changed in that regard. Good test case will be Deshaun Watson, I wouldnt be shocked if he never plays on the NFL again.
  19. Pittsburgh can afford it since they finally got rid of Ole Ben. Paying Mitch Trudbisky, Mason Rudolph and a rookie QB...you can afford a lot. I was really hoping they would let the washed up version play again this year with a big $ contract.
  20. You will get lambasted for this comment but, looking at it from a NON EMOTIONAL standpoint, I would agree. People want to virtue signal here to deorate their outrage, blah blah bah. Anyone ho has ever driven drunk doesnt have much moral highground in this thread. If I were the Judge, I would put him away for probably 10-20 years. Courts currently often dont sentence pre-meditated murderers to much more but it was an accident, A horrific accident. Life in Jail for him is absurd and wildly over the top. His life is ruined, career over, ruined financially, never drive again, all things he "earned" himself.
  21. Deshaun Watson was in fact a true superstar. evidence number 1 as a Bills fan was the Texans playoff comeback, it was almost all D Watson, he took the team on his back and had a few borderline miraculous plays like the one where two bills were on him and could bring him down for a sack and turned it into a big gainer. Looks at his numbers two years ago, the man was a real superstar.
  22. That would be my initial gut reaction BUT if you can trust/coach up Watson to stick to his talking points, (never disrespected any woman blah blah blah) which he mostly did, I think it was a good strategy. Lately it has been a PR disaster for Watson. The non-stop Deshaun Watson bashing has been relentless, they had to try and change the narrative or direction a bit to and now they can say Watson isnt afraid to take questions.
  23. It is delusional. Tindall will be lucky to even see the field this year. Reminds me a lot of a small version of Tremaine Edmunds....very quick but prone to be out o place and misdiagnose plays. Just wait to see Belichek scheme up against Tindall.
  24. That is a real reach reading into a typical coachspeak response to the question.
  25. Well the NYT article implicating the Texans, imo, was clickbait borderline trash. Yes the Texans paid for a suite at the Houstonian, yes the Texans knew he was looking for massage therapists and what Pro football players doesnt get a massage. (yes I know they had a facility with their own but he wanted someone else. The Texans shouldn't be responsible for him abusing what they gave him). But the implications from the NYT "enabling" Watson were laughable. I guess the Texans enabled him because they also paid him big $, it is a joke and Buzbees, the plaintiffs lawyers, is seeing that article as a cudgel in the PR world to extract $ form the Texans. My response to that is 1) Texans ownership, Cal McNair is brain dead 2) I dont care if they nail the Texans at all but taking away picks is wrong in a fair and competitive league 3) Texans will probably pay some $ to make it go away but not the draft picks So where do the lawsuits end? Watch them name the Houstonian as a defendant. Big money, dont want the publicity, would they pay to get rid of it, sure a reasonable amount. You have already explained your position and articulated it well. Give it up, 'Weo " just likes to argue.
