All-22 Grades for Bills/Rams (The Athletic)
RoyBatty is alive replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly, how can Cook be higher than Knox and especially Moss unless Cook didnt get enough plays to qualify. -
Browns New On Field Logo
RoyBatty is alive replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it is ok. After all, what are you supposed to do with a name like "the Browns". -
They looked terrible and the great Mac Jones didnt show much improvement at all. Belichek's last year is my bet. IMO Belichek got outcoached by the idiot savant of a HC at Miami.

Jerry Hughes and OJ Howard, neither was going to stick with the Bills this year so they ended up as Texans and turned into stars in their first regular game. Jerry Hughes has been on fire through pre-season and he carried it on in the first game. He got two sacks and stripped the ball out on one knocking the Colts out of field position. He also got an interception returning it 14 yards and another tackle for a loss. Too bad the Texans didn't win and are a low profile team or a lot of people would be talking about his performance. IMO he was always a very good Bill and happy for him to close out his career so well and at home. OJ Howard was picked up by the Texans and he scored both of their TDs. One of his TDs there was a defensive mix up and he was effectively uncovered. There are a lot of Frank Reich fans here as am I but any talk about him being a great head coach wasn't evident last Sunday. I dont think the Colts were prepared for the game and Reich was outcoached by Lovie Smith. Our castoffs are making other teams better and any fear of the COLTS with Reich and Matt Ryan from a Bills standpoint was greatly alleviated.

J Allen about to go out of bounds throws it to where only the receiver can catch it to the outside, ball did not cross end zone. Very similar to the Know TD in the playoff versus the Pats but that specific case I dont know where the ball traveled to, just off the top of m,y head. Depper in the end zone applies when the throw it out the back line and is aught in that regard the ball has crossed the end zone, that is not what I am describing.

I disagree. What happens when the receiver is one one side of the end zone, QB is one the same side of the field and throws it to his outside so only the receiver can catch it. If the receiver has his feet in the end zone and the ball is thrown outside and the ball never crosses the end zone that is a TD. Those type of throws happen al the time.

A Few Thoughts About the Rams Game, in no particular order
RoyBatty is alive replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Also fair-weather as well and not knowledgeable. What would you estimate the % of Bills fans were there? I heard at one point they had to resort to a silent count, how embarrassing for an NFL team on the day you unveil your SB banner. -

Great write up. Great game for almost every aspect. I cant even complain about McD. On the Secondary, now I am nitpicking. Kupp is great etc etc but allowing anyone to get 13 catches is off the bell curve bad. Yes we played zone, not to get beat by the big play, and Kupp knows where the holes in the zone and hits them but that is a bit concerning. And on the TD for Kupp Poyer was flat out beat . -
Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement

Every year there is some desperate team with no QB and a cash rich/brains poor owner. -
I think it is a TBD obsession to give a nickname to every player.

I try not to make a meaningless points of correcting grammar but since you misused the same expression a few days ago, so just fyi it is not "air on the side of caution" it is "err on the side of caution.". And I agree with your point, besides we have the luxury of rotating D Lineman so it should not be catastrophic to let him heal 100%.

How are people betting Bills vs. Rams
RoyBatty is alive replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taking the Rams and the 2.5 as a psychological hedge. I will take the Rams and the points. Rams win, at least I can get some $. Bills win by more, I am still happy. And if the Bills win by one or 2, best of both worlds, Bills win and I make $. -
Zach Wilson out until at least week 4
RoyBatty is alive replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was for a very short time after his first preseason game and after i heard that blowhard Mike Greenberg go off on a rant that Zach Wilson was their best QB since Namath and was by far the best QB in that draft, so Zach's downfall is especially sweet to me. -

It can be nasty and they can also be a non-event. Most elder active people have partially torn meniscus and most arent even aware of it.
