  1. I doubt it. Fans by May of next year will be super excited because they have a lot of new talent and their hoped to future franchise QB, with all the new rookies that alone buys them another year. Certainly some crazies will be calling suicide hotlines but that is to be expected from a small minority, fans with common sense can see what is coming up. Pegula's aren't dumb, they realize 2 and out is the road to Cleveland Browns forever. They got a GM and a HC that young, hungry, not old tired retreads fired from somewhere else. The GM/HC are (apparently) totally on the same page, when was the last time that happened. The Pegula's inherited Whaley and the entire office. Finallly they got there guys in there now to run the show.
  2. 17 years, what is another one, at least we have a plan going forward, we have a GM and Coach that are on the same page, Ownership is giving them any tools they need including time and we are going to have one hell of a draft next year. Get to see how some of our new talent works out. So what really is the difference if we go 4-12 or 7-9, Who knows, maybe McDermott can shock us, God knows he cant be as bad as Rex. I bet we can actually get players substituted on time and wont make laughably bad decisions with challenges. Also McD better start fixing this penalty situation, if he cant this team might be unwatchable. Anyone with great expectations this year deserves to have the hopes dashed simply out of pure stupidity.
  3. That is probably the way to solve it, to put it in a Golf analogy like Jim Furyk's golf swing which is wretched but it is the same consistent wretched so it works for him. There is so much work to be done with Mahomes I wouldn't even know where you would start. I remember when the Bills brought in an alleged QB guru Lee to fix some of Ryan Fitzpatrick's mechanics, which of course ended in failure, no improvement. Trying to redo Mahomes is going to be monumental task. If Alex Smith goes down early in the season we might have a real shot at the #1 pick in the draft, I think Mahomes playing this year would end in total disaster,
  4. That is great video of him versus Cinci. 90% of his throws he had at least one foot off the ground. As many others have posted, his footwork is deplorable, a clinic in deplorable, he throws off balance constantly, no patience in the pocket. But at least in College he got away with it because of his incredibly strong arm. Has anyone ever seen worse footwork in the NFL, I haven't. It is going to be interesting to see if he can turn into a franchise QB, I am betting against it but I can see why KC took the chance they did.
  5. I didnt understand the Cardale pick either, I recall Rex was gushing about his athleticism so i wonder if it was more of a "Rex pick". That is the type of attention seeking draft pick he would do. Cardale will never be a good starting QB unless they have a gimmick offense, he would be good in limited wildcat non-sense. And if Watkins is true to form he will get hurt, or at least miss some games. I put the over/under at week 7 for him to miss.
  6. It would have been a much, much bigger mess to keep him on the team and even worse, actually have him start. His performance last week was pitiful to watch, Players aren't stupid, they saw what he had to offer, Everyone realizes Boldin was way past his prime. I don't think the lockeroom will be a mess nor do I think it is an embarrassment to the FO, they took a shot and it didn't work out, I cant blame them for that. Lockeroom would have probably been a mess had they kept on over the hill player that cant contribute. Only real question I have is did the Bills work out AQ before they signed him, if they didn't than it is embarrassing for them.
  7. I liked the Peterman pick a lot, rd 5 after all, ,he may not be a franchise QB but he looks serviceable in the NFL, hard worker, good leadership skills. I think Peterman will have a long career in the NFL, probably as a backup.
  8. Playoffs before Eclipse. Bills make the playoffs in three years as 1) Brady finally retires, 2) The Bills new franchise QB picked in rd 1 2018 is ready for prime time
  9. Teams will pretty much abandon the run versus the Bills and attack the zone defense secondary. Brady might be able to pick up 500 yards against us, he will dink and dunk us to death on long drives. The defense will get better as the other team gets into the red zone and the field is compressed. Offenses will gain a lot of yards and chew up a lot of clock but hopefully wont score TDs in buckets. Meanwhile with the alleged Offesnive line we have how long are they going to be on the field. Our defence will get worn down in games and throughout the season unless the offense clicks. Teams with an accurate short-intermediate range passer and quick release will do very well against the Bills
  10. Yes, I believe this is most likely what happened.
  11. Can you imagine Ducasses starting against the New York Jets, my God, I think that turns maybe our easiest game of the year into a toss up.
  12. I don't understand why some people are upset and/or surprised at all by this. His display the last game was sad to watch, slow, sloppy, he clearly did the correct thing. Next up to retire needs to be Vlad Ducesse.
  13. 5-11 And that counts 2 wins versus the NY Jets who officially mailed this season in already.
  14. this isn't the 1960s when players used TCs to get into shape, NFL today is year round staying in shape, no excuse for him not to be in shape. I would love to know if the Bills just interviewed him or actually worked him out running routes. If they didn't that goes on Beane big time. Cant get separation in todays NFL good hands don't mean anything and he certainly looked anything but quick off the line yesterday.
  15. On the play that Darby intercepted the Ball Boldin looked like he was stuck in Molasses, did nothing on that. Unless he posses some kind of "mentorship" I think he has to go.
  16. LOL. Just a mere few days ago saw some gnashing their teeth over why we let Cardale go...it didn't take long did it.
  17. He was terrible last year, with age he doesn't get faster or raise his IQ. McKelvin is done.
  18. I didnt realize lil Bum was defensive coordinator for the Ram,s I have a ton of respect for him as DC so it makes me nervous he would part with EJ. Absent Jerry Sullivan's bitterness, this is the type of fluff piece we read constantly from the WNY media about a particular Buffalo Bill.
  19. 2017 collateral damage for finally flushing the failed system of the past 17 years.
  20. I find nothing compelling or unique from these Pats fans and why should any Bills fan care.
  21. Possibly, the Jets are in an almost shameful tank mode this year, we will win a few games and I dont think it will be because of TT more so it will be new coaching. Cleveland might have their guy in Kizer so the leading worst teams looking for a QB will possibly be the Bills & Jets, maybe the 49ers. This is supposedly a deep QB class of potentially elite QBs.
  22. I agree but by some miracle, we win a lot, great, try to get a winning culture here when expectations are so incredibly low. If we do win more then 6 or 7 games I will give credit to McDermott and it will underscore what a farce of coach Rex was.
  23. Ah but unlike in the past, right now the Bills have enough "currency" (2 1st, 2 2nds, 2 3rds) in terms of picks that realistically the will land a legit POTENTIAL franchise QB, probably the first or second pick in the draft so if they go 2-12 or 7-9 it won't matter much. I assume the Jets get their QB in the #1 slot and we are not far behind. Unlike in the past the Bills appear to have a long term plan, not just patching holes so they can muddle along and go 7-9.. Trust me, you are not going to see this regime do a boneheaded trade up to get a WR, QB is the play al the way. Correct analysis here.
  24. Kool-Aid? I dont see any evidence of what you are implying. Any fan with half a brain realizes we are in a rebuild mode and expectations are going to be extremely low, by mid season the dialogue will be about our future franchise QB. 2017 season is a lost season, deal with it. If they go 1-15 or 6-10 what difference does it make. I will be happy if we do nothing more than clean up Rex's mistakes: reduce penalties significantly, have reasonable clock management, appropriate challenges, learn how to substitute players on time like a real NFL team. Also like to see them develop Jones and see what Peterman has.
