Wow, that was quick. He must be the highest drafted QB cut so far, wonder if they are angling for a PS for him.
-
Typical message board overreaction to a preseason hero going on in here.
Yep, he is this year Micheal Jasper, future HOFer that just slipped through our hands due to OBD stupidity.
-
No we are down to like 7 players on the roster that we drafted
Wow, that is amazing, I am assuming you are not counting the rookies, let me see if i can name the Wood, Miller, Dareus, Washington, K Williams, Lawson, Seymour, O "leary
edit: I looked it up, also add in the Seantrel Henderson Cordy Glenn so that is at least 10

I'm curious on what the over/under should be on how many guys will be on our opening day roster who on not on the Bills today. Surely we drop below 53 and pick some guys up, but I wonder who they have their eyes on?
And I have no idea who will be (or would be considered) a surprise cut. But I'll know it when I see it!
I am going to say 2, one OL and one WR...possibly an OLBer
Does Seantrel Henderson count against the 53 man roster, if he does he would be my surprise cut.

He's the best since Marv or so I've heard.
Our favorite head coaches. #GoBills
2:49 PM - 31 Aug 2017Damn does Marv look good for 92. Wonder what he is doing hanging around OBD.

Define many. Having the 26th DVOA Offense in 2014 was pretty bad. 25th in 2013, 26th in 2010, 29th in 2009, 30th in 2005. Our offense has consistently been in the bottom 3rd to bottom half of the league over the course of the drought. Only in the past 2 years has it been top 10 this millennium. Next highest was back in 2000 when they ranked 14th...
Are those actual numbers, I didn't realize it was that bad, knew it was unwatchable though.

Great read, thanks for posting.
that was like a Tiger Beat article
So do you have a subscription or buy it at newsstands.

Seems reasonable, if we do any better McDermott for coach of the year

You really think Miller is on the bubble? I would be beyond shocked and unbelievably appalled if this happens. To me, not only has Miller outplayed Ducasse, but Ducasse has looked pretty freakin terrible, and on too many occasions. My personal opinion on this is that McDermott likes Ducasse, and also is on mission to rid the team of ALL of Whaley's draft picks. Honestly, if Miller is cut I will lose a TON of respect for Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane, because a move like this defies logic, and screams "ego and power trip". Again, not only do I think Miller has outplayed Ducasse, but I think he is a valuable asset to our O-line, and has shown marked improvement from one year to the next, is still young and has alot of good football in front of him....if we cut him, wherever he goes next he will be the starting RG, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him make his first pro-bowl...
I 100% agree with you on Andre Holmes, he SHOULD squarely be on the bubble. However, with losing Sammy and Boldin retiring, I suspect he will make the roster. If I'm not mistaken he is the tallest receiver we have right now, and his size makes him harder to get rid of. Sammy was 6'2, and Boldin was 6"1 or 6'2..
So my 3 would be Ducasse, Ola, and Mudge.
Yeah, if that actually happened miller would be swooped up in a nano-second and as for Beane and McDermott...it would be real difficult to have any respect for them

thank a player this week, God lord.
In the aftermath of what is going on in Houston, one cop already lost his life and you want us to thank a player for " These guys give up their bodies and a portion of their lives for our entertainment" .
Idolized, spoiled, wildly overpaid and you want us to thank them?
How about thanks a first responded or a cop that puts there life on the line, half th country hates them and they get paid $60k/yr.
How about thank a construction worker or a looper in a steel mill (well I guess that doesn't exist anymore in WNY) for their hard and dangerous work.
Thank a player. Ridiculous. Yeah right because they dont get their arses kissed enough.
By the way, very classy move on the part of Jerry Hughes, good for you Jerry.

Losing Anquan Boldin, LOL.
I am a lot more worried about our offensive line, if it is as bad as it was in pre-season having Sammy wouldn't have made any difference.
-
I can't even remember what the issue was, some petty spat with Ralph?
-
I know this won't happen but I would love to have one reporter ask Shady about the SI Cover and him going for Brady's balls, I think Shady would find it hilarious.
Come on Jerry Sullivan, for once grow a set and ask Shady.

Injuries in the NFL are inevitable and I am going to cosmically assume there are a pre-destined number this year and therefore I am hoping for many many injuries in the game.
Please no one lecture me about wishing for injuries, read the line above multiple times before you do. I would never wish harm on any player, the game is not that important.

no. It's lesean McCoy hanging on his nuts. Joe Thomas is in the armpit.
Really, oh that is priceless. IT is so small I can't tell.
In hindsight probably not shocking. You'd be hardpressed to find any stretch of a team so thoroughly dominating a division rival and he's, more or less, been the sole qb
For sure.
Find a QB that has lasted this long, in the same division, playing twice a year. Seems to me the next QB Wouldnt even be close. Maybe Favre-Lions or Big Ben and the Browns.

What is so typical of this post is a player attached to the "Super Bowl" era is supposed to give it immediate credibility.
-
I sponsored a party at the Metry Cafe in Old Metairie, Louisiana. the saddest thing was when the workers took down my Bill's pennants and handed them to me, actually made me feel better because I think they were on the verge of tears...then again they envisioned a monster tip disappearing.
-
So where is the Buffalo Bills on the cover, is he the one under the armpit barely visible, how incredibly apropos.
-
So let's re-cap, an "unnamed player" from a quarter century ago has an opinion and the thesis here is encapsulated in this,
" He went into detail about how they should have called in each player for an interview about where they were going to get a feel if they were a fit or not. He is not sure our current regime has done this"
THis unnamed player apparently know NOTHING more than anyone else, such another opinion. Maybe they did talk to each and every player.
Non-story imo.

Butch "Touchdown" Rolle
Leon "Dr. Sack" Seals.
And def Carwell Gradner for fighting Bryan Cox in the tunnel.
Shout out to Larry Kinnebrew and Jamie Mueller.
Leon Seals was great

Bad pre-season game and the Pegula bashers coming out I can understand. But Ralph Wilson bashing for stuff he did 15 years ago? Give me a break.
EXACTLY!
This thread is ridiculous.

His sister is severely handicapped and he has made extreme efforts for her entire life including building a house with an attached living quarters for her and a nursing assistant. He didn't go out to South beach and buy a Lamborghini with his rookie contract money and most importantly spends a lot of time with her/ True quality character.
Shame it never really worked out in Buffalo, he was just too frail/and/or unlucky.

I don't have any problem with Shady saying that Kaepernick isn't a good enough player to make the baggage worth it. That is most definitely true. I think he should have stayed completely away from whether there was a better way to make their message heard. If the Seahawks released Michael Bennett who is now sitting through the anthem he would be picked up immediately. I absolutely defend the right of the players to sit / take a knee. But the hysteria over what Shady said is a bit much. He just said what everyone knows to be true.
Are you one iota surprised by the overreaction, I certainly am not.

Not really pointing at Darby, but we gave up 98 Big Plays last year (>10 yard run, > 25 yard pass), which was 2nd most in the NFL.
Let's hope this D scheme drops that # by 30 or more.
My God that is pathetic considering the talent we had..., Twiddlee and Twiddlee dum Ryan
Nathan Peterman preseason breakdown
in The Stadium Wall Archives

Great breakdown, much appreciated.
About what I thought/feared. Looks like Peterman wil do very well but will be highly limited and easy to gameplan against. Too bad they didnt even have him throw a long ball to see what he has.Peterman wil be a very good & reliable NFL backup, he isnt going to be a franchise QB.
