It was a joke, hence the wink.
I was serious with the question though. Not argumentative. You seemed to sarcastically say no one was aware of the police issue before Kaep came around. Thanks for that, Colin. But then didn't apply your same argument to the Harvey Frankenstein issue.
I was sarcastic, BLM had that fully expressed to the public. The scope of the Weinstein was a shock and his affiliation with Hilary, ehh that is a can of worms I wont open but the hypocrites have fingerprints all over it, they all kept their mouths shut for decades. Hollywood is supposed to be so inclusive, so "progressive"......really?

So are you implying that you didn't know sexual harassment existed before HW was exposed?
My mistake, i tried to compliment you on a well thought comment and you try & twist it into an argument.
Anyway I thought I was dead to you.

Thanks. Report back please, I know Rome's shtick too well. How long is Rome going to go on and on about him not being able to pick up that fumble, my over/under is 30 seconds.

What is Milano, 221 pounds, yes he is very good in coverage if I were an offense I would run right at him, punish him.

Roy Batty is dead to me.
He's trying to bring awareness. He tried to get people talking about it and he succeeded to some degree. We are obviously not going to solve it here. A huge amount of people on both sides of the issue do not know what the hell they are talking about.
But awareness SOMETIMES works and brings about change. It looks as if, for example, the Harvey Weinstein issue is bringing about awareness all across the country, women are coming out for the first time in numerous different industries, and sexual harassment may less to some degree if not a substantial one.
Good line, I am dead to you, oh well, that is certainly tragic turn of events but I will survive.
So before Kapernick no one was aware that racism exists still and there are some bad cops. No i didnt need Colin kneeling to figure that out. And no one in the country had heard of BLM before Colin. Thank GOD we have a celebrity to makes us aware.
You have an excellent point re Weinstein, it has been a huge positive catalyst also demonstrates what a bunch of incredible hypocrites Hollywood is, many of them know what was going on for years. That has resulted in positive change, I dont see anything positive thus far from what Kapernick has done, I think if anything it is only divided people but that is just my opinion.

The Chargers should not be overlooked.
They've won 3 straight, and even though they started the season at 0-4, they were not getting blown out in those games.
Chargers are the best 3-4 team in the NFL with the best 3-4 QB. I really fell sorry for Rivers last couple years.

He's not trying to fix the justice system the way you are describing. He's trying to get the justice system applied fairly across the board. Millions of people including yourself think it already is concerning the issue Kaep is addressing. Millions of people including myself think it isn't.
Change the system huh, apply it fairly , good luck. At the end of the day this is like debating abortion, nothing is going to change. So now some racist cop is not going to gun down an innocent AA because "they are onto me now"? Nothing will change. It will ultimately be as useless as this thread in changing ones mind or hearts.
We might have some feel good sessions with owners and Kapernick and the owners will come up (I could say shake down) with a bunch of money and donate to Kapernicks causes like Assasta's Daughter Beyond all holding hands at midfield in a show of "solidarity" I see no peace, love and kumbaya out of any of this.

Trade up and grab a QB, let Tyrod walk or if he does well enough maybe we can get a draft pick for him. We would have two young QBs and the money being paid to Tyrod can be used on other positions.
I would love to see them grab Josh Rosen, maybe we won't have to trade up too far to get him.
So many teams looking to do the same thing, trading up is going to be epically expensive this year, unless of course most of the leading QBs continue to disappoint like Darnold. This was supposed to be such a great QB class a lot of teams were hoping for their franchise QB.
-
Don't forget we are missing Humbar who was very good in early season
Any idea when he is expected back?
-
please site examples of uncivil speech. Until then, if you can't participate just have a seat in back
Edit: I just reread the last 3 pages and see nothing uncivil or anyone else offended. You're the only one
I have to agree, i think conversation has been civil.
I will say this about ole CK, his girlfriend is pretty hot

Buffalo is 7th most popular? Color me surprised.
That really is a shocker

Supporters of the police shoot people too, does that incriminate all police officers?
and you're ready to dismiss it?
Big difference, BLM is an anti-cop movement, there is an active anti-cop mantra, the cops were shot BECAUSE they were cops, that was the only reason. To me that reeks of prejudice, exactly what they are accusing the cops of.
I am not aware of any police entity that has been advocating targeting any group of people as "evil", there is no motivation for violence promulgated by the police therefore your analogy fails.
There are bad cops, there will always be bad cops but you have to consider things in PROPORTION. When you said the percentage of cops that are bad was irrelevant I know there would be no agreeing. If you expect cops to be 100% perfect you might as well disband every police force right now and live in total anarchy.
As I said, who in the right mind would want to be cop right now.
-
I never said all cops are racist, f- you for putting these kinds of words in my mouth. If the media doesn't report about whites shot by cops, how do you know about it. And we are not talking about criminals(of any color) being shot, we are talking about blacks with broken taillights getting shot, or 12 year kids with a pellet gun getting shot, or a guy in a store holding a gun for sale in that store getting shot.... get the point or do you just want to dismiss those because it's not convenient for your argument.
I have no idea what percent- it's irrelevant- it happens and they are usually not held accountable
Prove that BLM had anything to do with those cops being shot. Is it acceptable to use the 'one bad apple' argument in regards to BLM if they had anything to do with those killings.
I don't know- maybe that's the problem, some of those that want to be cops just aren't qualified.
This is just in Texas, Officer Goforth was shot in the back of the head by a BLM supporter at a gas stations, 5 officers were killed during a BLM March in Dallas, the cops were there to protect and keep the peace, so lets all hear about the peaceful BLM movement. Everyone knows the names of Micheal Brown, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray, etc. Can anyone name one cop shot in Dallas?

So if an average team doesn't beat them they are as good as they ever been?
To think the Pats are the same as always is ludicrous. If Tampa Bay could make field goals and the Houston DB could hold onto a ball, the Pats would be 3-4 right now. They arent the dominant team they have been in the past, not even close.
-
Not sure where the 'one bad apple' comment comes from. There are many more than one, watch the videos. And you have the nerve to call my view 'retarded' after what you just wrote that I put in bold. That's rich.
So Klos, what percent of cops do you think act out their racist tendencies and killed minorities unjustifiably?
Since BLM started so far at least 6 cops in Texas were shot because of BLM. What percent of those involved in BLM do you think are cop killers?
Who in their right mind would want to be a cop today? A big portion of the country hate you, you get paid squat, you put your life on the line and God help you if you defend yourself.

Local guys saying Ninko will be the one they try and bring in, he wouldn't play inside but would provide the leadership they just lost with Hightower.
They also said that when Hightower is out earlier this season and nothing happened. If I am Ninkovich I would stay retired, he went out on top, why gamble on what the Pats are this year.
-
McCoy is gong to have to radically pick up the pace to have a shot. I agree on the secondary players. Tra White DROY, poor Myles Garret and his injuries.
-
Absolute worst!! Man I really don't even like watching the games that this crew officiates. It's like constant flags every play just about. Back to back plays will receive flags A LOT. If any good plays happen I will expect a flag after every single good play. Prolly for the Raiders also.
Really REALLY despise Hoc and crew. If it wasn't the Bills playing, I can assure you I wouldn't give it a first look knowing this crew is officiating.
NFL is really struggling with popularity, they know all the numbers on the refs and how long the games take. I noted he has only refed 5 games this year. Wonder if they are phasing him out, one can only hope.

I could see Belichik making a trade before the deadline with a team looking to sell off pieces. Maybe he could get Chandler Jones back from the Cards lol
Cardinals aren't likely going anywhere Carson Palmer is on his last legs, trade, if I am the Cardinals I would trade him for New England's first

you guys must smokin' crack. NE ain't winning the division. We are. By the time we play NE, we'll have Clay back and our coach is going to get the bugs worked out of our pass defense. NE is goin' down.
Hope you are right but I would not base anything on Clay's health. His knees are walking time bombs. I really dont expect him to remain healthy after he come back.

Page 1 and the thread should have ended here. For those thinking he "disrespected the anthem and the flag", do you value a song more than the people it represents? This is my major issue with the "anti-Kaepernick" and anti-anthem kneeling crowd. What do the song and the nation for which it was written really mean if the people are subjected to the discrimination that they are subjected to in this nation every day? I've got to assume you are a white heterosexual male if you don't see it.
So if someone disagrees with Kaepernick you are assuming they are heterosexual white male...the hypocrisy in this comment is stunning, no prejudice with you at all is there.

Well there goes setting their edge again, gonna really hurt.
What took them so long to report it, it came from the game Sunday. Oh Belichek I forgot.

chargers aren't scary. They're timing and ball control. As long as our running game can continue to find legs we will be ok. We can key on their quick LB's and survive
Patriots have too many defensive weaknesses that we can overcome. We can realistically sweep them this year and I am half believing we will.
No reason to see us losing to the Jets.
Our defense will shut down KC and it'll be big plays to beat us. That could be a loss. Depends which offense shows up. We only hve to score 20 to best them.
Dolphins have no rhythm. We can sweep them.
Actually that plays into our defensive strength, except for that blown coverage against Howard last week and the Cicni Game (one or two others i am no doubt missing), Bills have been very good at stopping the big plays, it has been the short & intermediate passing routes that have killed our zone for yards.
You are so ignorant.
So it is Pittsburgh in the North, Dallas in MExico City but it looks like it is going to be real loud in support of NE's "away" game in Mexico City.
-
Raiders in Mexico City could be more raucous than Raiders in Oakland. Latinos are Raider fans at birth. The entire stadium in Mexico City will look like the Black Hole of Oakland.
I thought Mexicans were predominantly Dallas Cowboy fans.
Hightower out for season
