  1. True that is what is grievance articulates but it not relevant, owners can decide they dont want him because of his hairdo, doesn't matter as long as they didnt collude. And prompted by you I started to read his griwvance and got opnly this far, "To date, and specifically from the 2016 season through the present, there has been no NFL rule prohibiting players from kneeling during the national anthem. Mr. Kaepernick has a constitutionally protected First Amendment right to engage in a silent and peaceful protest." The first sentence is wildly misleading, rules were there and never enforced/tested and the lawyers carefully limited it to "kneeling", no in the rules "kneeling" was never listed specifically. Standing up was though. Second sentence, yes Colin has First Amendment rights, they were never infringed. What he doesn't have is a right to a job and act in any manner he wants to while at that job. How is it players get fined for pretending to be a dog urinating? Where is their 1st amendment rights there? If you owned a starbucks and on of your employees decided to lecture every customer about how great Donald Trump is before they too an order, do you think Starbucks has the right to terminate the employee, of course they do.
  2. Here is a fact, no speculation, if the owners didnt bring him on board because of his kneeling etc they are 100% within their right and not in violation of the CBA as long as they did not collude. Colin's lawyers can write anything they want to in their grievance, after all Colin needs to impress everyone with how "brave" he is and how he was wronged.
  3. So why didn't he lets just let the 49ers release him, I am not asking a baited question I just want to know. And do we know for a fact they 49ers would have released him? Of any city ion the US hose fan base would have embraced Kapernick you would think Saan Fran would.
  4. That is not true. Owners have every right to not hire him on their team,. The basis of his grievance is not why he isn't on a team, the basis is if team colluded.
  5. Kaep is an attention whore, this may not be about the money at all. I don't think the NFL pays for this lawsuit to go away, they dont want to set a precedence of players that dont get one a team to shake them down for $., Its a win? Has this done anything to cure any social justice, has it brought anyone together, nope in fact if anything it has made things worse. You really think someone is going to get rid of their bigotry because that idiot knelt during the natl anthem. "Gee look at that, this guy is kneeling, well i sure was wrong, i am going to stop my racist thinking today." All this has done is further divide this country, there is nothing good that came out of this.
  6. I have always believed this, he always starts the season hot and his play slowly dissolves after about 4 games.
  7. The Tuck Rule was an abomination to the game. If I were a raider fan I think i would have never turned on another NFL game. Pats got another yesterday.
  8. I( agree with Row 33, NFL play mediocre, rules are absurd witness the Jets/Pats game. Can anyone explain to me if he didnt have control of the ball then who can he fumble it out of bounds if he didnt have control of it? I can see no TD but how do you go from no TD directly to a fumble. Crap like that makes the NFL unwatchable for me.
  9. Personally I hope the man is ok, make the right decision Stephon, walk away from the game before you do permanent damage and take your $40 million in guaranteed Patriot $ with you.
  10. His "backup" Eric Rowe is also out. Too bad they are not going up against a good QB because this could get interesting.
  11. Also the daryle Lamonica trade, the Raiders were really struggling to attract fans and some speculate that partially explains why we did one of the worst trades of all time. Also the rumor Lamonica was either banging Ralphs or Kemp's wide also may have factored into it.
  12. I loved the old AFL, maybe it was because i was so young but the NFL was boring as heck tome, pound and ground and then you had high flying QBs like Hadl, Namath, Lamonica that loved long bombs. Games with 3 or 4 long bomb TDs along with 4 ints were not uncommon.
  13. Do you agree, i think they are terrible, Leo just keeps rambling on in monotone and Sal interrupts to keep trying to say he already said in the past what Leo is trying to say now.. I admit it, I was. As another poster said it must be mental. The run game is a disaster because defenses have, rightfully so, next to zero respect for our WRs, now that clay is out, zero respect for the TEs as well. We are not going to fix the run game until we fix the pass game imo.
  14. Thanks for posting it. I must say for alleged professionals, Sal and Leo aren't very good. First 15 seconds both are talking all over each other. Some Drunks at sports bars do a better job than those 2.
  15. Zay has been the biggest disappointment of the season for me. In college and ore season had had hands of glue, now he can't catch.
  16. The only coaches I would consider firing is the O Line coach Castillo Dennison wait and see, we can only speculate what they are really trying to achieve this year from a philosophical standpoint.
  17. I loved the Jones and Dawkins picks as well but they have really, thus far in their very very early parts of their careers, shown very little to be encouraged about. Jones is areal mystery, he had hands of glue now he drops more often than he catches.
  18. Dylan doesn't really sing Sinatra songs does he?
  19. He is holding the ball longer because he doesn't have his go to slot WR Edleman as his first read. On top of that Gronk has missed a game and looks slow to me this year.
  20. Houston had that game won, all the db had to do was hold onto the ball rolling on the ground, I couldn't believe he let it slip. And then the dumbass Texans waited 10 seconds to call a time out, very Rex Ryanish.
  21. Please folks give up with the conspiracy theories and Boldin, did you see his performance in the pre-season game, it was an absolute embarrassment. Slow, sloppy routes, gave up on the interception, he was horrid. If he didnt "retire" i have no doubt the Bills were going to cut him. Instead he suddenly decided society "needed" him more and quit, good for him.
  22. True but the Jets are only +375, I bet that game was played at the start of the year it would be at least double
  23. Bean wasn't here for the draft, those picks are on Whaley and way too early to pounce on them. As for Duchasse and Tolbert, on that I agree, these ex Panthers and "good guys in the lockeroom" only gets you so far.
  24. Agreed...but he has good t/o stats, no offense but good t/o stats.
  25. Beginning of the season I would have put the odds at 1%. Now I think it is 25%. What I would really like to see is Brady pummeled taking multiple hits. It would be nice to play them last weeks of the season with a severely banged up Brady. More serious mileage on him the better and this seems to be the year.
