Anyone remember November 29. 1998?
RoyBatty is alive replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually you do have to remind me how this game went. What are we, all "Rain Men" that know what happened one November day almost 20 years ago? -
1) I am not defending O 'leary, as I said I could care less if he leaves but is he really struggling in this offense? Failure to understand it? I dont recall reading/hearing anything about that. 2) NE uses the Erhardt-Perkins system, for some players it is actually easier because the terminology is dramatically reduced.

Harry Jacobs miked up 1964
RoyBatty is alive replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are two theories. 1) DL was banging Ralph Wilson's wife or Jack Kemps, i cant recall which one it was. 2) The AFL was failing and the Raiders were about to go under, had a terrible team, Ralph secretly lent them money as part owner to keep them alive (against league rules) and traded Lamonica to get some Raider fans excited about the team and that is one theory on how Raider Nation was born. Whichever reason it was it very likely saved the AFL and need to give credit to Ralph. -

Actually he wouldn't make Div 1 in college. It want him, it was most of them, they were so small, nonathletic compared to today, off season was spent on other jobs or drinking and fishing. -
This trial, has appeal written all over it. At some point in this trial there are going to be witnesses that slip up and mention Trump and or Russia. Along with the heavily Democratic jury pool, must have been an interesting voir dire. Put on top of that the prosecution opening up attacking Manafort for his expensive clothes and being arrogant. I think it is going to get worse, prosecution I bet pull out anything and everything . Any conviction this is going to be painfully easy to appeal. Judging by what this judge has already said he is not thrilled with the prosecution and II wouldn't be shocked if this trial is eventually declared a mistrial..

Refugee Crisis in Europe
RoyBatty is alive replied to Prickly Pete's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Oh my God i burst out laughing when I read this. Why can't we all just get along, you should go on a peace mission to Iran or better yet Isis occupied Syria, spread the love. -
Correct. The trial is a farce, it has noting to do with Trump, zero zilch nada nothing to do with Russia, nothing at all...it is about Manafort business deals in 2005 and 2014. Well actually it has everything to do with Trump,. Many people WANT you to think the actual trial is about Trump, look at the fools outside the courthouse chanting "Russia, Russia, Russia". It is also about Trump because this was an attempt to intimidate Manafort and have him flip on Trump, guess he wouldn't. So in reality this already a loss for Mueller. The real goal of all of this was to flip Manafort and get Trump.

I am amazed how many years he has been here starting, really inexcusable although he did improve last year.

"Ruining" a QB by starting him too soon

How can you say they never shown a single thing they could be good when, certainly in the case of David Carr, never really had a chance to begin with. Carr showed a whole lot of of potential in college, wit the Texans all he ever did was run for his life. -

Question about 90's Bills
RoyBatty is alive replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting, here are my "takes" XXV Bills were outcoached, badly including Marv Levy letting players party too much, they were celebrating before they ever played the game XXVI Washington was the better team that year AND the refs letting our WRs get killed, it was ridiculous XXVII Kelly getting hurt wouldn't have mattered, we imploded and they were the better team XXVIII Dallas was better but that game was OVER when Thurman dropped the ball and they scored, we were on a roll, we were going to have a 14-0 lead in the 3rd, after that drop it was a tie game and it was psychologically over. Dallas came in with the attitude all we have to do is show up, like the Bills did in XXV. I totally believe we would have one that game without that mistake. -
You are correct. I believe they want him to be versatile enough to be a Mike as well as outside on occasion, we are going to have to be creative if we are ever going to fix that matchup. I guess that is asking to much of a 20 yr old rookie...this year. Hell line him up on the outside on Gronk if that is where they put him, Edmunds has more speed than gronk does and I think bigger wingspan. You going to beat a Brady/Belichek/Gronk combo you have to be creative and take chances.

Finally we might have a guy that can actually cover Gronk without holding him (#27) every other play but i think this year will be tough on the rookie with Belichek/Brady

Bills' 2018 Training Camp Day 2

I think the "brutal throw" he was talking about was a throwaway since Alexander was apparently bearing down on him -

Boy that is nice watching him throw these long balls, the man really has an arm, no wonder it was so difficult to pass up on him, so much physical potential there. But of course i didnt see the wobbly duck mentioned above. -
That she is, she is also hot, i think she does a great on Highly Questionable, an incredibly stupid show that i enjoy the hell out of.
