  1. Why do these idiotic comparisons happen every year wit the then current worst NFL team, it is so asinine. No offense but I used to have respect for your football opinions, not anymore.
  2. He did actually only not as good a runner but with a substantially stronger arm. I thin it is safe after 6-7 years Tyrod's ceiling has already been reached, Allen has a long long long way to go to improve.
  3. If you are going to start just a post then provide some backup data, like how far is he "in the lead", what are the odds who else is on the list etc.
  4. Best thing for everyone to do is to believe this and panic. Story makes very little to no sense.
  5. Tyrods numbers are very close to Allen with Tyrpd getting the slight edge.
  6. Signing a guy because he played with Allen is apically stupid, but here is what i found out about him with the Bears Tanner Gentry was the star of Chicago's training camp and preseason a year ago. The young wideout out of Wyoming formed an immediate connection with quarterback Mitch Trubisky. That connection went on to show itself during the preseason. Gentry caught four passes for 77 yards with a 45-yard touchdown grab in the team's third preseason game last year. The hope was for him to become a diamond in the rough for the team. He eventually got onto the field during the regular season last year for Chicago in four games. In those games he caught just three passes for 35 yards before going back on the practice squad. Some were speculating he would have a better chance to latch on this year in Chicago's new offense, but there is currently a lot of talent ahead of him on the depth chart. It has been a struggle at times for him to get onto the field. With guys like Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller and Kevin White ahead of him, chances have been limited. He has caught 12 passes for 98 yards with one touchdown this preseason. He still needs to prove he can be reliable on special teams in order to earn the job.
  7. I guess when Ekeler steam rolled over him in the first half it finally woke him up.
  8. Instead of talking about Davis I wish someone would have asked Micah why they played lights out in the second half, what was the difference maker versus the first, adjustments, McD play calling, some Rah Rah halftime speech?
  9. Exactly what i was thinking. So his legacy now for the rest of his life will how he ended his professional career, i think someday soon he is going to regret his decision.
  10. I think from the refs angle he thought Matthews put all his weight on the QB, from the angle we see in this thread it is clear he didn't. I understand why the rule, often these 310 pound DT put their weight on the QB on purpose, it doesn't assist in bringing the QB down. Put with the asinine what is a catch anymore in the NFL get used to arbitrary calls like this.
  11. LOL, Only is they were eligible Trying to find silver linings is quite the challenge isnt it
  12. We dont they are all mediocre,, there is not even one standout layer we have the worst WRS/TE in the NFL
  13. Also reflects the utter mediocrity, none of them really stand out. The one with the most catches was Shady. Actually that is the type of stat the "experts" love to shower Tom Brady with al lt he time, he only had 9 different receivers catch the ball.
  14. LOL, yeah i know exactly what you are talking about
  15. Can some tel me what happened on that play, i went to take a leak and the next thing i see is one Bil be taking to the lockeroom , couldn't figure out what was going on at all
  16. Sullivan's "takes" are no better than the causal fan here at TBD BUT rest assured, he wil be negative 989% of the time, i only read a few sentences and i got to this gem, " league is a monument to mediocrity", most would say it is parity he labels it a monument of mediocrity. I read no further.
  17. Is Allen has half the success Watson did I would be thrilled, and Houston's O line last year was legendarily bad
  18. Go for a darkhorse not listed, Foster if he can hold onto it.
  19. Everyone thought shananhan was crazy drafting Cousins & RG III, turned out to be brilliant move, esp since Shanahan preceded to ruin RGIIs career. QBs are just too damn valuable. Yep!
  20. I wrote in another post if Allen proves to be a total bust and or is seriously hurt and his future is in question, absolutely we draft a QB if there is one you want. You might respond one year isnt enough time to tell and Allen was always a project but if he plays really poorly and doesnt make any progress in the season, you have to suck it up, admit you made a mistake a draft a QB. If by some miracle Allen comes around you have tremendous trade bait with both QBs so haven't lost much at all. Yeah why not.
  21. 2 reasons, 1) tyrod Taylor grossly inflated those numbers and most of those yards on busted plays, little no credit to the O Line, 2) we had one of the best RBs in the business
  22. It depends what kind of haul we get, if there is some incredible QB everyone wants trade back. Lord knows we have plenty of holes to fill 2 wrs, i te, 1 LB (Lorax is ancient), 3-4 O lineman i CB (Davis=bust)..yeap we have a lot of holes s0 most likely trade back. In three years if Allen works out, Edmunbds is the real deal, we could have a heck of a team.
  23. Very reasonable. For me this season is about bringing Allen up when he is ready, unfortunately that game plan it out the window, i would be happy if he progresses through the year and doesn't get hurt, if we go 3-13 i dont care esp if we get pick #1.
