  1. Let her do some field goals and kickoffs (run off the field asap) in pre-season, once the excitement and pre-season is over she can go back to soccer. I would love to see it. A 38 yr old 141 lb female would get killed in the NFL is she were treated just like any other player. Knowing the NFL anyone gets near her they will cal roughing the kicker.
  2. Sammie did have excellent rapport with Watkins, Sammie run a go route and i wil throw it as far as i can you catch it. That actually was one of Tyrod's most effective play. Sammy also didnt play when he medically was cleared too and other issues which were also raised in LA. His teammates saw all that/
  3. I dont think there were a lot of upset players shipping of Watkins.
  4. That was my initial inclination but the "free spot", what exactly does that do for the bills. He cant play at all this year and after that he can sign with any team, Bills have zero control.
  5. I wont be shocked if some team on a flyer and maybe to sell some tickets picks him up if we cut him and puts him on their active 53.
  6. Seriously? If Chad Kelly actually ever plays for the Colts they are going to lose anyway.
  7. Thanks, that read was as good as his original story, maybe better.
  8. Shockingly from Yahoo that was a good article. I especially was impressed with Allen renting out a house and inviting skill plays for some one on one and Allen also playing WR and CB, lets him see the QB play from a different perspective. I think that is a great idea during the off-season and certainly builds team chemistry . Not sure about this line though, "The Bills love his field vision and smarts" not so sure about that, especially after that last performance which I pray was a fluke. You cant doubt Allen's physical attributes and his willingness to be a leader and put the work in, the two usually lead to success as a QB.
  9. The only thing more tedious than fantasy football talk is bitching about fantasy football talk. But actually i agree.
  10. If J Allen plays like his last pre-season game 5. If he plays more like his first 2, 9.
  11. Well that was certainly true in years past, this year I think our depth , for once in a very long time, is quite extraordinary, I think this is one year when other team pick up as many cut Blls as the Bills pick up from other teams.
  12. The Texans with their dysfunctional front office have pretty much polluted the waters, without a bonafide GM and firing the infamous Brian Gaines it is a rudderless ship this year.
  13. Oh the beautiful irony if we pick up the Pats punter this year. Two years in a row the Bills pick up the Pats cast off at the lowest position on the team.
  14. There are 2 teams with 2 very good punters, the Browns and the Rams, both would be a lot cheaper than Allen. As for Bates, see what happens with Morse. If Morse actually starts the season i think Bates goes to the PS.
  15. They should bring back the red endzones as well...but they claim they fade to pinkish, cheapskates should keep it up.
  16. You might want to read closer to what I wrote, yes Footbal will exist but it wil continue to be de-risked and to an old school like me, unwatchable. As i wrote, there wil be football, it might look like the pro bowl but there will be football....just not the game as we currently know it.
  17. Let me just interject an anecdote, I am in football crazed Texas. 30 years ago most parents would be proud to have their kid play HS, maybe 5% wouldn't allow it. Now i am guessing close to half of parents discourage/wont allow their kids to play. The trend is fairly obvious.
  18. Oh this wont stir up ANY controversy, even I know better, i am staying away.
  19. Yeah, yeah yeah. They said that about the popularity of a lot of sports, where is horse racing today, almost non-existent? That is close to be outlawed too with all the horse deaths this year. Horse racing used to be one of the biggest sports in the US. "Footba;ll" might be around but its popularity wil be down dramatically and the game for an "old school " guy like me it will be unwatchable.
  20. Dont believe it. MMA is like boxing, as i said effectively the fighter is a free agent ,you dont have billion dollar owners to sue or you dont have billion dollar schools/states. Football was almost outlawed by Teddy Roosevelt. It has a target on it. Once Schools become economically at risk you will see a mass exodus, the entire system will slowly collapse. I would bet anyone football will be outlawed at public schools universitis by some state within the next 5 years. And those legislators and SJWs that lead the charge will use the IDENTICAL arguments some of you are using it. Only "poor" people play as they "have no other real choice" but football. It will also come under increasingly racial scrutiny. 96% white owner, 80% AA players with the white commissioner having the powers of God. Yep, no problems with the optics there.
  21. Off the top of my head jousting, gladiators and pro tennis...hopefully this cornhole phenomenon will be next. I fail to grasp your point.
  22. The "game" as we know it will disappear, it wil take a while but the direction is obvious. You are already having schools drop their programs in HS, no doubt some state like NY will outlaw public funds for football, too dangerous. Lawyers will get involved, former high school and university players will start suing. The game will be legislated/sued to the point where the game will be unwatchable. It will be an evolutionary process, the game will continue to be "de-risked". As i wrote, it wil look like the pro bowl...to me unwatchable. Oh and by the way, how poplar is boxing now, it used to be one of the big three sports, Boxing Horse Racing and Baseball where the top three in the 30s. Boxing you dont have "teams" to sue, you are effectively;y free agents, that is why boxing still exists.
  23. Yep, this is where it is headed, the money will be gone BUT no more people getting CTE.
