  1. I think the Buffalo News selecting quotes from TBD is more of an indictment of the lack of creativity against the Buffalo News then credit to TBD.
  2. Interesting. Allen didn't use his hips as much in the throwing motion when he first came to the Bills. And no he has and not only has his accuracy improved BUT his MPH on the ball has increased...this is after starting out with one of the strongest arms out there.
  3. Bosa is there to attack the passer and get in the backfield which he did in speculator fashion, I am not going to lay the "blame" for our running success on a Defensive end. I also cant blame him for some idiotic decisions the Chargers had late in the game. Yes his team lost but It was like Otis Anderson winning the SB MVP in in 1991 when clearly Thurman Thomas had a far superior game. Re name the awards then, have SB MVP for the winning team and Player of the week for the winning team.
  4. I was thinking that same thing, happy for AJ but Bosa deserved it, we couldn't stop him.
  5. That is, imo, exactly how the refs overall have been not giving Cam Newton the calls in his career. A smaller, more effete QB is always going to get more of the benefit of the doubt on getting a flag thrown, matter of human nature. And there is some logic to it if calling penalties relates to safety as a legitimate concern. Who is more likely to get hurt with a rough tackle, Josh Allen or Russell Wilson?
  6. It should be the goal of the Players and Bills coaches to win the Super Bowl every year, nothing short of that. As a fan, I can have realistic expectations or whatever expectations I want. I would be thrilled just to get to the Super Bowl, that would make me happy. I still recall the glory days, hen sniveling non-Bill fans want to try and rib me about losing four in a row i look at them and try to explain how much incredible fun it was just to get there. I would take a Super Bowl right now in a heartbeat. One playoff in does little for me, Super Bowl of bust.
  7. I bet every defender this year has seen the clip of Josh Allen face masking that 6'5" 248 lb LA Ram. "No Huddle" is correct, Josh has earned his rep points.
  8. I am just glad some of his O Lineman took exception to it. What Bosa did wasn't bad and i can understand him saying "not today bud" the way Allen has embarrassed defenders over the past three years. I dont think Bosa was trying to hurt him.
  9. I say let them get this game in. If Covid spirals out of control then at least every time has 11 games in. Then worst case scenario shut down regular season all games for the rest of the year, let the Covid runs its course and go right to the playoffs. Do i want this to happen, obviously no but not the end of the world of the 2020 NFL.
  10. Yea you aint kidding, especially with his predictions of a 6 win max for the Dolphins and they were no match for the Bills. Super Bowl..just to get there
  11. Dick Jauron on miked up....made be an insomniac cure We have a thread on two pages now discussing one of the most benign "taunting" i have ever seen in a football game. You can hear the refs, they are not exactly outraged with Allen's behavior.
  12. I thought we were going to decide right here in this thread?
  13. AH yes, the future, it will be there for sure. Aint no guarantees in that. Besides they have already done that this year, cant keep doing it.
  14. You endanger the entire system when you start advocating to borrow money when revenue starts declining. One thing the NFL has largely done is struck parity, uber-rich owners can't buy a team like they can do in baseball. Not all owners financial situations are the same, you start tacking on debt and if revenue doesnt accelerate, some owners are going to get in financial trouble. There is no guarantee the cap will go up in the future, especially with the plight of the sports media with declining viewership and advancing technology. Just look at the state of the mighty ESPN.
  15. Living in Houston I could go on and on about the Texans. You are correct, the Texans have been very loyal to a fault with HCs. How they let O'Brien secure HC and GM at the same time was an historic blunder only to be followed by one of the worst trades in NFL history, the departure of D Hopkins. The McNair ownership has/continues to be brain dead. Ownership is "too nice", they will hang on to players that are "good people" for far too log and a prime example of that is the over-paid Mercilus. The t worst was hanging on to David Carr way too long and never protecting him. David Carr was a nice family man, church goer and McNari loved him. Problem with Carr (besides no O Line) was his heart was not really into it. Carr was always one of the first men out of the facility and last men in, exactly what you dont want from your QB/leader.
  16. Yes I think Fuller is part of a new house cleaning, starting with the GM/HC.....the only solid survivor is going to be Deshaun Watson. Even the demi-God JJ Watt is expendable, most Texans fans down here have a high emotional attachment to him and many want him to have an opportunity to get a ring, highly unlikely with the post Bill O Brien era.
  17. How? Where is the $ going to come from? The finances of the NFL are not bullet /recession/covid proof. This mentality that the salary cap can increase every year inexorably has been, imo, horribly flawed. It took this year for it to be realized.
  18. Obviously. As I said, a win is a win. Be it by 1 or double digits doesn't matter to me. But if you want to discuss qualitatively/analytically, one has to recognize the Chargers decision making was laughable at the end. A lengthy huddle and running the ball with under a minute and no time outs or how about the last beautiful play of the game, Herbert went in a for QB sneak while the O Line appeared to be setting up for pass protection. Yes we won by double digits but we were assisted. If I am on Charger fan i say we lost by double digits due to our own inherent bad decisions.
  19. Excuses? No excuses for either team, we won the game, a win is a win, period. B
  20. It was a terrible decision on the part of Allen, he seemed to regress on that play. He was under duress falling backwards..he had the lead with time running down...that was the EXACT scenario you take a sack or with his arm strength throw it away.
  21. I cant recall a more universally despised NFL HC than Adam Gase, amazing how he keeps his job.
  22. I forgot that. On most hail marys there are typically a large number of potential pass interference calls both on offensive and defense which are rarely called..
  23. Ok i cant recall, what is the third besides Arazona and yesterday?
  24. The NFL and its asinine rules, the "taunting " is another one. Where does one draw the line between a "celebration" and "taunting". The NFL and its asinine rules, the "taunting " is another one. Where does one draw the line between a "celebration" and "taunting".
