  1. These are the playoffs, lose you are out, you dont roll the dice. I would dress Beasley if he is close and maybe dont start him. If it looks dicey put him in.
  2. I think his early struggles versus zone were somewhat "solved" as part of his natural evolution and a hard worker/student of the game thru the year
  3. Jemarcus Russell was a good example BUT was very slow, he 40 time was 5.2. Beyond his intellect, substance abuse habits and work ethic that is a huge difference. I think Josh Allen got out of High School with a 4.0 FWIW.
  4. Great, many thanks. I guess it is always great when you hear good things about Josh Allen and the Bills.
  5. You mean Buffalo? Yes I wouldnt object. I think at this point J Allen has progressed beyond the need for Fitz to mentor him. Lets see what Allen does in the playoffs.
  6. IS that what you want out of the #5 pick in the draft, a "decent NFL starter" IF they play their cards right? I agree with that but they have to be real disappointed thus far and the amount of capital they spent on him should not enter the equation...just look at Arizona with josh Rosen had they not been willing to part with him. I think the Dolphins with the #3 pick should go QB or if not trade down and get even more draft picks. Honestly you and I have no idea. Miami is not going to blurt out this early what their real intentions are with the draft...no point in them throwing Tua under the bus at this point. Their QB experiment worked wonders this year, until Fitz got covid BUT how much does Fitz have left? He will be 39. For that matter does Fitz want to have to mentor Tua again for a year?
  7. He did but he was ALWAYS much more positive on Josh Allen...it is not as if he can dis his clientele.
  8. I think he has really blossomed this year, last year i was very dissapointed. Look no further than the blocked punt that cost us the Pats game last year and the fake punt this year. I think he learned to teach the ST to call an audible if the blocking leaves an uncovered gunner and for a fake unlike last year that block was inevitable the way the Pats lined up, they could have audibled out of that last year. I would love to know if the Bills on ST did an audible to go for that fake this year.
  9. I would like to see this poll before the Book 'The Blind Side" came out.
  10. Dynamic roster with a tremendous amount of moving parts. Putting together this current depth chart wouldn't be easy with all the backups that played and even our RB cam up from the practice squad. Like Reich and company piece together their own bills depth chart for as long as we can within the rules.
  11. Our "nose tackle" back then Jeff Wright was 274 pounds, can you imagine a starting NFL NT on a super Bowl teams today weighing 274 pounds? I looked at the '92 roster, only 4 guys over 300?.
  12. Fact is comparing athletes today versus 30 years ago is absurd. Players train almost all year round now, eat better, train smarter, better doctors and operations, much more sophisticated play called, bigger, fast, stronger. Most of those 90 Bills wouldnt make todays roster imo.
  13. Who knows, the Bills may have done Miami the biggest favor of all time "exposing" Tua. That third pick will probably land them Josh Fields of the kid from BYU if they want. If the Jets stick with Darnold and Miami sticks with Tua are the two most interesting draft decisions this year.
  14. Glad they cleaned it up, I wouldnt know I havent been to New York state at all in at least 15 years because of the ridiculous income tax requirements. Didnt the NFL do something with Nickledon in one game, i assume to try and attract the younger audience. Clean up the experience beyond the third pre-season game so little kids can enjoy it.
  15. Yep, a lot of the now. Tua might end up being a very good, highly accurate QB but he has material physical limitations and imo a very low ceiling...the antithesis of Josh Allen.
  16. Chris Simms has been on the Bills and Josh Allen especially all year, never wavered.
  17. If you were like me and had a 13 yr old daughter, if she went to non-Bills stadium with a Bills jersey on and some moron threw beer on her, how would you feel? Yes it happens every stadium but it doesnt make it right . I have been to about 10 different stadiums but i would say Buffalo is about the most "flagrant" from my experience. It does have the feel of a "i know a guy" anecdotal story by to put down the Bills fanbase. I was always amazed at the stories i heard, assuming they are true, about Oakland and you cant go in a restroom with an opposing jersey on. Shame on the Raiders/police for letting crap like that happen. Put an undercover cop with an opposing jersey on and arrest the morons.
  18. Thanks you, finally. I didnt want to start a confrontation here today but I was shocked at some of the responses to that post. Throwing Beer at a 13 year old is not by and stretch "cool", frankly to me as a die hard Bills fan it is disgusting and embarrassing. Bills "mafia" has a lot to be proud of like the donations to Andy Dalton, the Donations on behalf of Allens grandmother, fans showing up in freezing dark after big wins, Bills mafia invading other stadiums. Acting like drunken idiots picking on visiting fans ESPECIALLY throwing beer on YOUNG kids is inexcusable.
  19. I considered Center, you get a great one that cal handle the blocking assignments at the LOS you have something special.
  20. 30 years ago i bet RB would be in the top 3, now just an after thought, a reflection of the NFL evolution. I went Kicker, NFL is all about parity so you go with the clutch kicker that can win the close games.
  21. We shall see. They did win 10 this year with Fitz and Tua, i think that in itself is a hell of an accomplishment. The Dolphins have a bounty of picks and could snag a good QB prospect at #3. As for Tua, Fitz is getting old and I am not sure he will be around next year to bail out Tua.
  22. I dont think that is a "fair" assessment at all. Have you forgotten how the Dolphins eviscerated their team when he came in, traded away their star LT, traded away Minkah Fitzpatrick. There was a lot of talk about if the Dolphins could even win a game last year. For Flores to be 15-17 the last two years is an incredible achievement. The Dolphins had the long term plan in action, tank for Tua and get draft picks which they have a ton of now including the third in 2021. As for their QB, I think Tua is potentially a serviceable middle to lower tier NFL starting QB, I was never impressed with him and I still see people gushing about his potential, We shall see.
  23. Yeah sure, we ran up the score did we. When receivers were getting down as soon as possible, when we put in Matt Barkley, when we had all second or third stringers in at the end and our star RB was picked off the PS two days ago? So sorry Phin nation when our backups were humiliating your midget 5th pick of last year draft with easy ints. The arse that did love to run up the score was the petty ego driven Belichek.
  24. I don't think they "need" that downer. This team has not let off the gas.
  25. "Mafia, we told them!! We told them this bandwagon wasn’t open for business. " How can you not love the letter Dion wrote, truly exceptional. He understands what it means to be a Bills fan. After reading that letter it just seems almost surreal the incredible success and promise we have. Dion is right, we are not lovable losers anymore. No more moral victories, as Dion wrote a real "actual-ass victory!!!"
