Problem is the Dolphins already have a ridiculous amount of draft capital so they could more easily could afford Watson, especially if Flores has any sense and realizes Tua is not the answer and trades Tua and picks for Watson. Tua has enough panache to ease the pain a but for for the Texans. Watson gets a team with a dynamic AA coaching a tax free state and live in Miami. To me Miami is the real danger.

Deshaun Watson prefers the Jets
RoyBatty is alive replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is is pure speculation and it surfaced big time after Richard Sherman, who Saleh was coaching last year went to the Jets and apparently Sherman loves Saleh and recommended Watson go there.. -
I agree with all you wrote except to definitely write Miami is not drafting a QB absent something weird is too strong. If I were the GM or HC, I would lobby for a QB early in the draft....hey have so much draft capital they miss on second pick in #1 round or either in their 2nd rounders, will that really matter that much?

Yep but assuming they have done their work Josh has two attributes a lot (eg Rosen) dont. Native intelligence and intense desire to lead & improve. IMO had Josh not had those attributes, he would have remained the same inaccurate QB so many experts were laughing at. n I have no idea about Trey Lance's desire and/our intelligence.

Patrick Mahomes has cleared concussion protocol
RoyBatty is alive replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Naively, i thought it was more than a charade. When i heard the different levels of the protocol and heard Reid's comments this week i realized, yep this is pretty much a joke. A real honest "players"coach like McDermott would actually consider sitting J Allen if he had a serious concussion issue, not sure most if any other NFL head coaches would. -
LOl, yep Belichek and his ego is a real wild card. I think their QB situation is the worst in the AFCE unless he has been hiding Stidham which i doubt. Patriots almost have to draft one or trade for one, i cant imagine they go Newton and Stidham again. I could see Belichek going for an accurate pocket passer that isn't a "project", he is running out of time. Mac Jones, maybe with Belichek's genius, he can sneak him in rd 2....an accurate stable pocket passer, highly accurate and proven winner go to go.

Shocker. Underscores the incredible fallacy of the entire concussion protocol.- 130 replies

Yes i have to agree, i typically avoid the entire diversity discussion in this forum past but hiring that fat blob is absurd. Why? Because his brother was an alleged defensive guru there 15 years ago?

I could make an argument/present a realistic scenario that each of our AFCE competitors should be drafting a QB early this year. There is only one Trevor Lawrence but there is a handful with great potential (Fields, Trask, Lance, Wilson) that will be available after. Miami and New England also could both be in the D Watson sweepstakes with their draft capital. The Bills imo are the only team in the AFCE with a solid bona fide QB of the future. I wont be shocked if at year end next season all our AFCE competition have three new starting QBs. Miami has a wealth of draft capital. They pick 3rd in both the 1st and 2nd rounds as well as #18 in each round. Tua has been, imo, after his fortunate winning start has been underwhelming and the Bills really exposed him. Will they have Fitz back next year to continue to mentor him and bail him out? Lets see if they think they have seen enough and will take a cue from the Cardinals a few years ago and draft another QB high. New York Jets. Yes, Darnold suffered from woeful coaching on a poor team but he is now entering his fourth year. His QBR rating has slipped every year and his passer rating was his lowest ever last year at a dreadful 72.7. Jets can pick from all the remaining QBs assuming Lawrence goes at first. New England. Does Belichek really want to hope he can find and develop another young QB at his age? Doubt Stidham is the answer and will Cam be back? New England doesnt pick until 15. I tried to make a poll but but technical skills failed me. .

Too late for those considerations, Texans already have messed up the franchise in epic manner and record time. -

Steelers signing Dwayne Haskins
RoyBatty is alive replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good, i hope they [aid him big time guaranteed money. So they now have an over the hills QB and a super young QB that was fired by the Football team. The Steelers are going to enter a world of hurt for a few years. They can sit back and watch Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and the punk Baker Mayfield dominate their division for the next decade. -
Give up a 3rd and 18 to a running QB? Hah! Did you see the TD run Lamar had versus the Titans? What you are largely bemoaning is our bend but dont break defense. Yes it can be frustrating to watch BUT our goal was to limit big plays which by and large they did.

This week's coffee with the Bills

Speaking of C Wade, what are we going to do with him? Been going on 2 years, i dont think we can continue to "protect" him another year. Moss is out, our running game is dreadful, what are we doing with him? -
Chiefs Walter Payton M.O.T.Y. Prospect
RoyBatty is alive replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually no,. not at all. He cheated, was on drugs that created or help create his live problems. Then when he was waiting to get a transplant pulled some strings and tried to jump the line, i dont recall the specifics. The entire Walter Payton Man of the Year thing always bothered me. -
Pats fans jumping on Bills Wagon!

I totally agree. And Tampa Bay, they would have next to no public interest sans Brady. -

We win a Super Bowl it will start...simply human nature. But seriously right now, how can anyone really hate the Bills? Almost everyone I know down here in Texas is now rooting for the Bills. Also helps when they are hating on their own Houston texans franchise. What a debacle of ownership there, legendary.
