Steelers signing Dwayne Haskins
RoyBatty is alive replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good, i hope they [aid him big time guaranteed money. So they now have an over the hills QB and a super young QB that was fired by the Football team. The Steelers are going to enter a world of hurt for a few years. They can sit back and watch Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and the punk Baker Mayfield dominate their division for the next decade. -
Give up a 3rd and 18 to a running QB? Hah! Did you see the TD run Lamar had versus the Titans? What you are largely bemoaning is our bend but dont break defense. Yes it can be frustrating to watch BUT our goal was to limit big plays which by and large they did.

This week's coffee with the Bills

Speaking of C Wade, what are we going to do with him? Been going on 2 years, i dont think we can continue to "protect" him another year. Moss is out, our running game is dreadful, what are we doing with him? -
Chiefs Walter Payton M.O.T.Y. Prospect
RoyBatty is alive replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually no,. not at all. He cheated, was on drugs that created or help create his live problems. Then when he was waiting to get a transplant pulled some strings and tried to jump the line, i dont recall the specifics. The entire Walter Payton Man of the Year thing always bothered me. -
Pats fans jumping on Bills Wagon!

I totally agree. And Tampa Bay, they would have next to no public interest sans Brady. -

We win a Super Bowl it will start...simply human nature. But seriously right now, how can anyone really hate the Bills? Almost everyone I know down here in Texas is now rooting for the Bills. Also helps when they are hating on their own Houston texans franchise. What a debacle of ownership there, legendary. -

Didn't Dion Dawkins in this letter to Bills mafia state the bandwagon was closed! I love that line and sentiment! -
i have said the best place for a trade is Miami. Tua is mediocre at best, he has a very low ceiling BUT he does 2 things for the Texans....gives them "cover" for his is an alleged QB with great potential and PR and he is a god fearing family man, something very important to McNair. Plus the Dolphins have a wealth of draft capital (somewhat thanks to the bone headed trades by the Texans). Watson goes to Miami, tax free state with an AA HC and one of the ucoming stars. The Texans get Tua plus draft picks.

Kudos to John Wawrow!

Culturally cancel a reporter? LOL Oh the horror!!! You dont exaggerate too much do you? -
Yes he did. Simms has been rock solid behind the Bills and esp Josh Allen all year. I wont "fault" him at all for making his intellectual call that the Ravens would win.

Colin Cowherd Nick Wright Bet
RoyBatty is alive replied to Motorin''s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it is a shtick and he sticks to it for attention, period. Saying it is tongue in cheek implies he knows better, maybe by now reality has set in and he realizes it but he initial josh Allen and Bills bashing wasnt tongue in cheek, it was simply flat out wrong. -
Jimmy Garoppolo headed back to the Patriots?
RoyBatty is alive replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Pats will draft a QB and i think there is a possibility that Mac Jones falls to them...that would be the worst case scenario for me. I think Mac Jones with Belichek could be deadly combo. Another possibility more of a project for the Pats would be Trey Lance. Not fair, he is also a Pats season ticket holder so there you have it. -
Two observations. On the Bills RT...you are correct, Williams has been a God send and he helped seal the Colts win. Also re RT, for years i complained about are woeful RT situation, i couldnt believe the one and only great Jordan Mills actually started for us 3 years at RT. By the way, guess where he is as of 2 days ago...yep the Baltimore Ravens. Yes we faltered a bit on offenses and defense and I would add a third, we really really faltered on special teams in the return game...we were dreadful

I have very little worry about our kickers. The special team player that has to have a good game in decisions and Returns is Andre Roberts, His first half blunders nearly cost us that game imo. That is true BUT lets be realistic, our first half starting field positions was borderline comically bad. IMO very very few teams in the playoffs could have done much better than what we started with.

Jets hire Robert Saleh as HC
RoyBatty is alive replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep 100%, it got irritating. And the SF defense game plan against the Bills was terrible imo. I am glad he went to the Jets with the "genius" he displayed versus us. -
Anonymous Dolphins players: not sold on Tua
RoyBatty is alive replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dont know, have not done extensive research. Multiple candidates: Josh Fields, Trask. Lance, Mac Jones (bet the Pats would take him if available) and the BYU kid that looks like he is 12 years old. Just because Lawrence is the obvious #1 doesn't mean the Dolphins can materially upgrade from Tua and the Dolphins have the draft capital they dont even have to take QB @ #3 unless they are sold on him. -
Anonymous Dolphins players: not sold on Tua
RoyBatty is alive replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. If Tua was a mistake or even could be a mistake, be honest with yourself and "admit it" by drafting a QB and setting up competition which is in itself always a positive. Tua's health record is also a factor, he is not exactly indestructible. Cardinals and Rosen is the greatest example. You think for one second the Cardinals dont regret pick K Murray and moving on from Rosen?
