  1. Yep, for sure. The Houston Texans have ALWAYS sold out very home game and easily sod their PSLs. Now that the team is a disaster, fans detest management/ownership and they were have a very tough time selling out games this year. And the mighty PSLs which had real value are mow at risk "forcing" PSL holders to buy season tickets.
  2. Virgil you are spot on. I have been to several games at Jerry's world...yes nice seats great food, pelntiful bars & restrooms BUT it totally lacks the ambience of the Bills stadium. It is so large it is like almost being outside, you can barely hear the crowd and I end watching most of the game on the massive overhead TVs. I think most Bills fans such as myself would hate and impersonal stadium such as that. Complain all you want about the current stadium but it is near perfect imo for the Bills, a great reflection of our history and culture.
  3. People are really jumping to incredible assumptions with this post. I am waiting for the inevitable post about how wonderful a Super Bowl would be in Buffalo. ANY fool can go and hire a consultant, makes total sense what the Pegulas are doing, spend a million get some consultant in and if nothing else get your fan base excited over a POSSIBLE new stadium. I would say the odds of a new stadium for the Bills in the next 5 years have gone from 0.5% to 5% with the hiring of these consultants. These consultants are going to survey potential sponsors, any consultant can do that. Are they magically going to revitalize WNY economically and find find sponsors for a new stadium? How long did it take to get a sponsor just to name the current one.
  4. Oliver-Yes he was the 9th overall pick and the Bills were thrilled he dropped to them but many "experts" had him as a top three pick. Personally I think he is a great man and will be a good pro, never be a great pro and live up to all the hype. He is not huge nor super quick so I never saw him as a great pick. 50/50 we pick up his fifth year option. Ford-Have we officially given up on him as a tackle, I assume we have. We again were also thrilled he dropped to us but had had injury issues. I think if healty he will learn concentrate on the guard position and turn into a quality starter. Singletary-I think the Bills learned that a RB can be exicti8ing and dynamic but you can't overcome his lack if speed and is small. A good player, will never be great. Cant explain his rookie success, think that was an anomaly, hope I am wrong. position. I agree, he plays his four years and then is gone or stays very cheap. They drafted Moss for a reason. I think if he gets 500 yards running this year would be the over/under. Knox-I will swallow his hand-eye technical help and thin he can improve "his hands". Clearly has the heart to play the position, will learn to blaock better and know his assignments better (think of the mistakes he made in his first playoff games for the Bills), he certainly wants to improve and think he will. So i am optimistic about Knox & Ford making big strides. I think the over drafted on Oliver and Singletary, jury out on Ford and Knox.
  5. He won college football championships, one for Minnesota and one for Notre Dame? How many college player won a championship for 2 different schools?
  6. Andy Dalton? Dalton in college or pros never had a completion percentage even close to what Jones had at Alabama.
  7. Tua doesnt have an NFL arm, imo, from what i saw last year. Just like Mac Jones this year, played for the semi-pro Alabama team against inferior competition can hide a lot of QB flaws. IMO Tua NEVER did have a high ceiling. I am stunned Dolphins didn't draft a QB high, i think they will regret it big time,
  8. I was using hyperbole to empathize my point, I think i realize he was not the "world"s most accurate" passer.
  9. I think Mac Jones is the most "interesting" of all the NFL draftees this year. Is he totally crumble under defensive pressure on he retains his Alabama magic as the world's most accurate passer, i could see either scenario.
  10. Yes it is a bold choice, that is what I was aiming for in a "dark horse".
  11. From my experience, if the Saints suck (they will) you will definitely get a cheaper ticked t by then UNLESS the city is invaded by Bills fans. Where is your Airbnb? I would recommend either Uber/Lyft or United Cab. Driving around NOLA is not easy, you wave to know how to negotiate the median grounds, the trolleys, brutally dangerous neighborhoods if you make a wrong turn.
  12. My Dark Horse was our lowly 6th rd pick Jack Anderson. No not an all pro but for a 6th rounder, i think he can be a starting guard or even tackle or center in the NFL for years.
  13. I went to graduate school in New Orleans and stayed for almost 20 years, I have probably been to 50 saints games. They CAN be very nice and/or they can be incredibly;y obnoxious rude drunks. If the Saints are in contention and the game is close they will be downright vicious, especially in the cheap upper deck. The ones sitting in the expensive lower seats, more money, are on average very nice. A Thanksgiving game, oh boy. That is probably the WORST time to visit there if you are going to a game. That is the same weekend as the Bayou Classic so the stadium, and hotels, especially the cheap one will be full. The Hyatt adjacent to the Super Dome gets trashed after every Bayou Classic. If you are going I would consider booking my hotel NOW!!
  14. LOL EJ Manuel has nothing to do with the Tremaine question but keep at it and I never said or intimated Tremiane was a rookie but if you want to twist my words to advance you your agenda go for it if it means that much to you. You dont like him, I got it, we all get it over and over and over again.
  15. EJ Manuel was 23 when he signed with the Bills, Trumaine is now 22. So you are you going to insist that EJ when he signed wasn't young? You lose.
  16. Do you have a reading comprehension problem? Yes the two are quite different, I never claimed they werent. I stand by what I wrote, a 22 yr old pro football player by any reasonable definition is a young player.
  17. You dont like him I get it but the fact he played more pro games than college is interesting but hardly relevant and is highly selective data on your part to try and prove a point. Sorry, but a 22 year old pro football player by any reasonable definition is "young".
  18. I agree, Trumaine is no where near the players London Fletcher was then again he is still very young so "instincts" can develop, I do worry about his passion.
  19. I am not saying you are wrong BUT this is the EXACT narrative fans used to help railroad London Fletcher out of town subsequent to another strong 7 years of NFL play including 4 all pro years
  20. You dont read very accurately do you. No i quite clearly stated, there is NO public announcement of a criminal investigation and to my knowledge that is til true. Got it PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT, that is why you said you would have no idea unless you worked for the DAs office and were basing it on non-public info. I never said there WASNT an investigation, I said there was no official announcement of it, or at least of of the time I first wrote that. Sure there might be one. And you can label my comments "absurd" and there might be a "deranged" GM if that makes you feel better. GMs take chances all the time. Did you ever think Vick was going to get back in the NFL after he went to jail for killing dogs? Sure some GM will take a chance on a talent like Watson. Yes he might not play next year, all that does is make the pool of potential teams go down and the asking price by Houston wil plummet. And I really dont care if you are "sorry" but if you cant stop laughing, that tells me more about your IQ than anything else.
  21. I most certainly did what, EXACTLY? Write this? Your quote of me. "I never claimed there wast a criminal investigation, fac, nothing had been publicly announced." Yes I did, bad typo of fact. Do you know hat a public announcement of a DA entitles? Not some chatroom gossip or lawyer speak. Yes, it was a fact. maybe the DA has announced an investigation recently, i dont keep up with this at all hours. As of when i posted that I was correct, you were wrong, simple fact, no debate.. Now to your next jewel of wisdom, "In light of today's Watson revelations, do you care to double-down on your ridiculous statement that some team might trade for him before the draft? 1) Hate to break the news but this is a rapidly evolving story and what I wrote at the time was a very reasonable comment 2) Yes, even still, one team might take a gamble on him,. What is so hard to comprehend. The asking price just went from 3 #1 picks and a player top half is now half that. If I am a buyer of d Watson, i am looking at seriously discounted damaged goods. Did you ever think Vick would play in the NFL again??
  22. I am very able to make that statement because when i wrote it, there was NO CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION ANNOUNCED. Did you want to selectively highlight what I wrote to try and make a point? What did I write after your highlighted quote, "unless you work for the Harris Country District Attorney and know something non-public." I never claimed there wast a criminal investigation, fac, nothing had been publicly announced. Yes there has been no announcement from the DA or from the police definitively saying they have an active criminal investigation.
  23. The Josh Allen was a high risk and high reward payout, J Allen success was much more the exception to the rule than "the rule". And the Bills brought him up correctly, kept same system, some HC, OC, got actual NFL receivers around him. Had J Allen gone to a dysfunctional team like the Adam Gase Jets, i would think J Allen would be viewed as a failure right now. And no three #1 is NOT too much to give up to a proven TOP TIER franchise QB. D Watson pre scandal was easily worth 3 #1s imo.
  24. Maybe YOU as Gm wont trade for him but I can absolutely see a team taking a flyer/educated gamble on trading for Watson. Watson is "damaged goods" now and some team will potentially get him at a bargain price. Unless you have a your franchise QB a lot of teams would roll the dice and take a gamble on Watson, price just plummeted on him. Issue is will the Texans face reality and try and trade him. And there is no active "criminal investigation", unless you work for the Harris Country District Attorney and know something non-public. That was more Buzbee creating a media storm than reality.
  25. I have to ask an incredibly naive question. What do they mean he and his sister were "trafficked" in London? Was someone selling him or her for sex? A 10 year old kid and where were the police? And then just dumped on the streets? Truly an incredible story.
