Richard Sherman Arrested
RoyBatty is alive replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
non-story? Actually sadly it is. Just a non-story because he drove into a wall instead of killing someone. Yeah because of fame and $ he will get a slap on the wrist. What would happen if that were you or me? -
Richard Sherman Arrested

Really not sure how interesting this is. If that report is true, seems highly likely he was drunk driving, hit a wall, ruined the tires and limped to the nearest parking lot to try and hide. What he did trying to get in the house I would assume, again trying to hide/escape. So to me, on the face of it, drunk driving, hit and run. If that we me, I would lose my license and probably do a little jail time. My bet is this costs him a ton of legal $ and his celeb status, esp in Washington is also going to get him a slap on the hand. That is my guess. Yes his wife is correct, he didnt hurt anybody, he got luck real lucky, -

Was a high caliber player, was. Sure there are 32 teams, someone will roll the dice, after all Tim Tebow and Kelvin Benjamin are each getting a shot. I dont care what team brings any of the three in, I can tell from what I saw all three are not NFL caliber players at this time. -

I think his career was done even without this. The game I saw him lay versus the Bills last year he was old and slow, we toyed with him. J Allen threw for 4 tds, 0 picks and 375 yards. Sherman was an empty uniform out there. -
Interesting analysis of Josh Allen 2020 season

Got seemed to be pretty intellectually honest. I would love to hear his unbiased analysis on Tua as a Dolphins fan. -
Pats* WR Harry requesting a trade
RoyBatty is alive replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ehh Pats, at this point not much, not to GMs unless you are in their division/conference. Since Harry is the one that wants out the immediately lowers his trade value. If his agent is worth anything he should have forewarned the Pats before that came out. I did read they were negotiating or at least talking to the PAts for an extended period of time so I assume they HAD to know. Belichek digging in his heels, letting his ego get involved, love it. It will cost them given any trade. God bless Jon Gruden/Mike Mayock...what did we get for Jones, a fifth? -

Boy if they dont get anything for Ford that would be a major whiff. They were thrilled when he "fell" to trading up to get him, they though he was a borderline rd 1 pick. -

I think this is make of break season for Cody Ford, if he is not a stud this year we thought he could have been when drafted, i dont think he ever will be, always fighting to stay on the team. I assume the Ford at tackle experiment is over. Keep Bates and Feliciano for versatility if nothing else. Mitch Morse at center is a real concern, he is one concussion away from retirement. And I like rookie Jack Anderson, i think he could be an NFL starting guard, maybe we can hide him on the PS for a year if he works out. -

Great call on Bob Lanier. I guess you could even throw in Calvin Murphy, For a couple years Buffalo was the epi-center for College Basketball,. -
Yes, you go from Alabama and enter the pros and the surrounding talent goes down on a relative basis.. I cant wait to see how Mac Jones does. The days of near perfect protection throwing to receivers with incredible hands that are wide open are going to end brutally for him. To me he is by far the most interesting of all the draft picks. Chris Simms should have considered him a potential total bust. Just wait till every play he has to throw it in a very narrow window under 3 seconds before he gets killed.

One game can define a quarterback, it did for Tua A QB can define himself in one game like a super bowl or a national championship or the last game of the year to get into the playoffs which Tua failed. And he is injury prone and this is just in college; https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2020/4/23/21223883/tua-tagovailoa-injuries-timeline-nfl-draft-2020-alabama-miami-dolphins

Pats* WR Harry requesting a trade

Very logical actually, doesn't want to get cut and be "damaged goods". He might be out of the league son. -
Pats* WR Harry requesting a trade
RoyBatty is alive replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is requesting a trade because it is doubtful if he makes their 53 man roster this year, nothing to read into it about their QB situation. -
Tua sucks. I saw him in a must win game versus the Bills where he choked and threw three interceptions in a 30 point blowout. You are right, he doesnt have a cannon arm nor can he stiff-arm LBs, Tua is small for an NFL QB and will be injury prone. You cant coach size and he will never have it. At best he has a very low ceiling as an NFL QB due to his physical limitations. Most of his wins last year were due to incredible defense and special teams play, he went along for the ride.

Jacksonville Jag's game question
RoyBatty is alive replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably the worst Bills game I saw weather wise (besides as a kid in WNY going home with numb frozen feet) was in Denver on an alleged beautiful day, maybe it was 84 degrees but it was totally clear day and sitting in the sun at that altitude the UV really hits you hard. As for the Jags to Bills fans, this is going to be an interesting game for sure. Year 1 of Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence, Jags ever going to get a "home" crowd it could be this year. -
It is a very reasonable assumption on his part. I Dont know how well he knows his partner, what percent of his net worth he risked but such an establishment is rife with unforeseen problems, pilfering, long hours. Maybe it is a non-event and wont cause any issues by the assumption is very realistic.
